Background: Deviation of host immune response by engagement of inhibitory receptors is one of the well-known mechanisms of tumor cells for immune evasion and survival. PD-1/PD-L1 and Tim-3/Gal-9 axes are two major pathways in this area which their contribution has been documented in a variety of malignancies. In this study, Gal-9 and PD-L1 expression was investigated in leukemic cells from patients with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL). Methods: Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) were obtained from 25 untreated CLL patients and 15 sex- and age-matched healthy controls. CLL patients were classified into different clinical stages based on the Rai staging system. Total RNA was extracted from all samples and applied for cDNA synthesis. Relative expression of Gal-9 and PD-L1 mRNA was determined by Real-Time PCR using β-actin as a housekeeping gene. Results: Gal-9 and PD-L1 mRNA was significantly more expressed in CLL patients compared to healthy controls (ppatients in advanced clinical stages showed higher expression of Gal-9 and PD-L1 in comparison to patients in early clinical stages (pConclusion: Our promising results regarding over-expression of Gal-9 and PD-L1 in CLL patients call future complementary studies to more evaluate and confirm these pathways for immunotherapy approaches of this malignancy. - چکیده انگلیسی: The pollution of water environments is a challenging issue especially in developing countries. Contamination of drinking water with heavy metals has been reported in many parts of the world. Arsenic, chromium and lead are dangerous heavy metals and also common contaminants of drinking water. In this study, the capacity and performance of the surfactant-modified Sabzevar natural nanozeolite (SMSNZ) on the removal of heavy metals from an aqueous solution was investigated. Initially, the appropriate concentration of hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide HDTMA-Br solution for modification was investigated; it was found that it must be higher than the critical concentration micelle (CMC). Then, the removal of As (V), Cr (VI), and Pb(II) from an aqueous solution was studied using SMSNZ. The results indicated that the removal efficiency was very high in different initial concentrations of heavy metals. The Linear, Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models were used to investigate the adsorption equilibrium of the surfactant-modified natural zeolite for heavy metals adsorption. The results showed that the Linear isotherm is a better fit for the three studied heavy metals.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Trigonelline has been known as an anti-diabetic substance extracted from plant sources. The Trigonelline content and growth factors of two Trigonella foenum ecotypes (Hamedan and Bandarabbas) treated by two Trichoderma harzianum isolates (chit4215MK and T8-7MK) were studied in a greenhouse. Different growth factors were observed in two ecotypes affected by Trichoderma strains. Hamedan ecotype had more stem length and the Bandarabbas ecotype showed more lateral branches and pod numbers. The results indicated that the Trichoderma strains had a positive effect on the growth of the Hamadan ecotypes stem, and the T8-7MK strain showed better effects than the chit4215MK. No shoot length differences were observed in the Bandarabbas ecotype between the control and Trichoderma treated plants. No significant difference was observed in peroxidase activity and total soluble carbohydrate content between the ecotypes, treatments, and the interaction effects of treatment and ecotypes. The highest Trigonelline content (4 mg g-1 DW) was obtained in the Bandarabbas ecotype treated with the Trichoderma strain T8-7MK, which was 1.6-fold higher than the control plants. Also, the Hamedan ecotype treated by the Trichoderma strain chit4215MK produced a higher content of Trigonelline (3.5 mg g-1 DW) which was 1.3-fold more than the control plants. The amount of Trigonelline in the treated Hamedan ecotype was lower than the treated Bandarabbas ecotype. Our results revealed that Fenugreek growth factors and Trigonelline biosynthesis can be affected by Trichoderma strains.

- چکیده انگلیسی: This research studies the companies’ effectiveness and performance relationship with stock market liquidity in Tehran Stock Exchange during 2010-2015. Simultaneously, in the study, the three indicators: return on assets, return on investment and Tobin's Q ratio were applied as a measure of the performance and bid-ask spread as a measure of liquidity, bid-ask spread to the stock market. This research has a practical purpose and descriptive correlation in research nature and also post-event research. The under study population comprises all companies accepted in Tehran Stock Exchange during the intended period, 198 companies selected with systematic elimination sampling to be studied and analyzed. The results show a positive and significant association between companies’ performance and Stock market liquidity.

- چکیده انگلیسی: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between growth opportunities, risks, and relative changes in the Company's cash assets. This study is a literature study and analysis was based on an analysis of panel data. In this study, a financial data of 112 companies listed in Tehran Stock Exchange during the period 2009 to 2014 have been reviewed. The results in relation to the first hypothesis of the present study suggest that between growth opportunities and significant relationship of changes in cash holdings is straight forward. Also according to the analysis done in relation to the second hypothesis, we determined that between now and the risk of changes in cash holdings is an inverse relationship.
