- چکیده انگلیسی: Osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee is one of the important medical complications in elderly peoples. Various pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies are described for treatment of knee OA, but considerable side effects especially in old populations are the limiting factors. Traditional, complementary and integrative medicines have a long history in treatment of chronic diseases such as OA. Many different oral and topical drugs have been introduced for curing of OA in Persian medicine (PM) as one of the most important and historical systems of medicine. The aim of this survey was to review the clinical trials related to pharmacological treatment of knee OA with medicinal methods of PM. The main databases including PubMed, Scopus and ISI Web of Knowledge were searched and consequently eight clinical trials were achieved. Some of common dosage forms such as gel and oil and some of traditional ones like “Marham” and “Dohn” were used for treatment of OA in these studies. The investigated plants were suppressors for different pathways of inflammatory responses. Antioxidant capacity and analgesic effects were other recognized effects for some of these herbs. In clinical aspect, seven of eight papers that were presented in this study, showed a significant effect in the treatment of OA; however, more researches are required to judge these traditional therapies.

Multipledoses of GTAE and G10 significantly (p≤0.05) decreased the volume and length of renal structures, compared to the diabetic untreated group. Conclusion: According to the obtained results, GTAE groups can regulate the levels of biochemical parameters and inhibit kidney damages in alloxan induced diabetic mice. It appears that GTAE can be suggested for treatment of diabetes as an anti-diabetic supplement or drug.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background and objectives: Traditional medicine could provide a hopeful area of research to mitigate the suffering of patients. “Qust” is one of the medicinal plants that are mentioned in Persian Medicine (PM) for treatment of neurological diseases. There is diversity within the scientific name of “Qust” in different references. Some have introduced Saussurea costus (Falc.) Lipsch. (Asteraceae), while others have presented Costus speciosus (J. Koenig) Sm. (Costaceae) as “Qust”. Since “Qust” is not endemic in Iran, there is difficulty to access to the whole plant for its identification. Hence, this study has aimed to identify available bitter “Qust” which is composed of roots of the plant in the Iranian market. Methods: Macroscopic characters and microscopic properties of powders and transverse sections of specimens with essential oil analysis of the Indian and one of the Iran herbal market samples using chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) were investigated for identification of bitter “Qust”. Results: Microscopic evaluation showed presence of secretory cavities and their specific size, narrow radial rows of conducting tissue alternating with broad medullary rays in the secondary phloem and xylem, presence of inulin, absence of starch and calcium oxalate crystals in the bitter “Qust” particles. Further, positive response was observed to S. costus identifying test. In the analysis of essential oils, active components of S. costus, such as dehydrocostus lactone, were identified in the examined essential oils. Conclusion: According to the results, it could be concluded that bitter “Qust” in Iran herbal market most probably is S. costus.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Isothiocyanates (ITCs) are naturally occurring molecules belonging to highly reactive organosulphur synthons, with the general structure R–N=C=S. The precursor molecule glucosinolate anions are hydrolyzed enzymatically (under the effect of myrosinase enzymes) or unenzymatically to produce nitriles or isothiocyanates depending upon conditions such as pH and temperature. Brassicaceae Family is known to contain abundant ITCs. A significant number of isothiocyanates has been isolated from different plant sources and some of them have been synthesized. Several isothiocyanates have demonstrated significant pharmacological activities including anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial activities, etc. Pharmacokinetic profiles of these sulphur containing compounds are well established. However, safety profiles of ITCs need consideration and a well-designed study with appropriate control, for their production as lead compounds. This review summarises the chemistry, sources, pharmacokinetics, pharmacological activity and toxicity profiles of the isothiocyanates.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background and objective: Medicinal oils are one of the most common and special dosage forms in oral and topical therapies of Persian medicine (PM). The oil of Saussurea costus (bitter qust) root is prominent topical oil with different applications in PM. In this study, the oil of bitter qust was prepared according to ancient Persian medical texts. Methods: To prepare traditional qust oil, 100 g of the root was soaked in 600 mL aqueous ethanol 25% overnight. The supernatant was then filtered and boiled in 800 g sesame oil until all water was evaporated. The essential oil of the root and volatile components of its traditional oil were extracted using hydro-distillation method in a Clevenger-type apparatus and were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) method. Total phenolics, flavonoids, tannins and polysaccharides were determined by spectrophotometric methods to evaluate the chemical parameters of traditional bitter qust oil. Results: The content of volatile compounds in both investigated samples was determined (0.5% and 0.1% (v/w), respectively). Dehydrocostus lactone and 1, 3-cyclooctadiene were two similar main compounds in the both analyzed samples. Total phenolics (788.290±0.61 mg/L gallic acid equivalent (GAE)), flavonoids (303.2±2.52 mg/L catechin equivalent (CE)), tannins (23.97±0.52 mg/L GAE) and polysaccharides (9.240±0.13 mg/L dextrose equivalent (DE)) contents were determined. Conclusion: According to the obtained data, dehydrocostus lactone could be used for determination and evaluation of traditional bitter qust oil.

- چکیده انگلیسی: This study aims at investigating the effect of using cooperative learning (jigsaw2) and traditional learning on the reading comprehension achievement. In the present study, experimental research model consisting of pre-test, post-test with a control group was applied. The sample of the study consisted of 64 participants in grade three in Bonab high schools. To determine the effect of cooperative learning method on achievement in reading comprehension and the significance of difference between the scores of groups at 0.05 level were applied by analysis of covariance. the results of the analysis of covariance shows the effect of Jigsaw 2 ( control and experiment) on reading comprehension in post-test. The differences between means based on group members ( control and experiment) in post-test stage (the significant level α = .05) is significant. The amount of interaction effect is 18%. So these results confirm that Jigsaw2 learning method has significant effect on experiment group. Additionally, cooperative learning appeared to be more favourable for overcrowded classes. furthermore, the results indicated that cooperative learning enhanced student- student interaction.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Today thorium based fuels are being investigated as an alternative fuel technology. However, the majority of thorium fuel research studies are limited to reactor physics investigations, which leaves a gap for dose evaluation and shielding concerns of such spent fuels. The present work investigates thorium oxide fuel assemblies in Tehran research reactor. The fuel gamma dose rates are calculated at different burnups and cooling times. A comparison between the reactor routine fuel and the thorium oxide fuel is conducted to reveal the thorium-based fuel application shielding challenges. The obtained results showed that inverse to U3O8-Al routine fuel the spent ThO2 gamma dose rates are completely dependent to the burnup values. In addition, for transporting the spent ThO2 fuel with the routine transport casks there is needed to be waited for the higher cooling times than U3O8-Al transportation time or construction of thicker transport casks is needed for transportation of the thorium-based spent fuels at shorter times.

- چکیده انگلیسی: This research aims to study the effect of using digital (web-based) analyses in performance measurement and optimization of digital marketing in digital-based companies in Tehran. The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire. A panel of experts and supervisor were asked to measure the validity of the questionnaire. For reliability analysis of this tool, Cronbach’s alpha test was applied; the alpha value was higher than 0.7, indicating the required reliability. The statistical population of this research is marketing managers and specialists of web-based commercial companies in Tehran. The questionnaire was distributed among 110 young marketing managers and experts of web-based corporations in Tehran. Structural equation modeling (SEM) test was performed via Smart PLS software in order to scrutinize the research hypotheses. The results of data analysis showed that web-based analyses have a positive and meaningful impact on performance measurement and optimization of digital marketing.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Polypyrol film was deposited on SS304by employing CPCvoltametery method, then coated with nano TiO2 (PPy/TiO2 )and used as a photocatalysis for degradation of somedyesacid fushin, methylenblue, methyl orange and methyl red. The SEM and XRD analysis indicated nano size of TiO2 deposits as 20nm on the polypyrol film. The UV result of absorption revealed that this film increased the rate of degradation of dyes comparing with TiO2 powder.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Human epidermal keratinocyte cells are the first defence blocks against the aggressive agents such as pathogens and xenobiotic materials. Synthesis process of the cellular proteins can be affected by abiotic stresses (aBS like: SiO2 nanoparticles) and biotic stresses (BS like: Virus), leading to the alteration of consumed energy profiles of proteins. The consumed energy profile of each protein was calculated based on their consumed ATP during the amino acids synthesizing procedure. Cells consumed more ATP, more energy, to synthesize more proteins under BS conditions compare to aBS conditions. Our results suggested that, the cells infected by pathogens are tend to survive longer than the treated cells by xenobiotic materials. Our data analysis revealed that the most energy reduction took place under aBS conditions. So, aBS could have severe effect on energy production pathways and decrease the energy source of cells. Moreover, the results demonstrated that the complexity of cellular protein networks under aBS conditions were more than BS conditions. It seems the cellular energy reduction under aBS conditions is one of the important factors in cell death. In addition, the position of proteins in the protein network was another important factor that should be carefully considered.

In this work, the dry reforming of methane was studied using a corona and glow discharge plasma microreactors. A chemical kinetic model was developed to understand the reaction better. The modelization allowed prediction of the reactants conversion according to the energy transfer to the gas (P×τ). The β value is trait of the energy cost, whatever this value was leeser indicated better efficiency. The β value of CH4 equal to 10.42 and 9.91 J and for CO2 equal to 12.24 and 15.42 J for corona and glow discharge plasma respectively, because the dissociation energy of CO2 higher than CH4. The kinetic model demonstrated that there is an exponential function between the conversion of CH4 and CO2 and plasma energy. Also, corona discharge plasma reactor with smaller CH4/CO2 ratio has higher energy efficiency for CO2 and lower for CH4.- انتشار مقاله: 07-09-1395
