- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: We studied the efficacy of an herbal semisolid formulation, prepared from hexane extract of seeds of Psoralea Corylifolia, which has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, in the treatment of eczema. Methods: Extraction of seeds of Psoralea Corylifolia was done in Soxhlet apparatus using hexane as the solvent. Furthermore, Oil in Water (O/W) cream was formulated with a stearic acid base and was evaluated for various parameters like pH, viscosity, rheology, etc. This cream was then utilized for the treatment of eczema. Results: The formulation was effective in treating eczema in this open clinical trial. Thirty patients suffering from eczema were treated for 1 month, out of whom twenty five completed the study. The patients recovered from their symptoms using the cream twice daily and were assessed every week for 1 month. It was observed that the symptoms score reduced at the end of 2 weeks onwards. At the end of the study, the symptom score for eczema reduced from 6.367±1.098 to 0.333 ± 0.279 for length of the lesion, from 1.333 ± 0.994 to 0.165 ± 0.087 for exudation rate, and from 2.567 ± 0.504 to 0.165 ± 0.132 for the rate of itching. Conclusion: The plant Psoralea Corylifolia has been used in treatment of various skin disorders, and the present research concluded that this plant could be effectively used for the treatment of eczema.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Biological Electronic, Optical Properties, and Vibrational Analysis of 1-benzyl-4-formyl-1H-pyrrole 3carboxamide are studied by using a combination of DFT/B3LYP method and 6-311G (d, p) basis set. Optimized parameters of the title molecule are well-matched with the experiments. The NLO properties of 1-benzyl-4-formyl-1H-pyrrole 3carboxamide have been examined with the help of Polarizability and Hyper-Polarizability. The electronic properties of 1-benzyl-4-formyl-1H-pyrrole 3carboxamide are described with the help of HOMO, LUMO composition. The UV spectra suggest that a strong excitation line occurs at 2.03 eV (160 nm) due to H-2→LUMO (30%). NBO analysis shows that hyper conjugative interaction energy has higher value during LP→ π*, π→ π* transitions. Several biological activities are calculated by PASS software. Docking of the molecule is performed with 5P4Q protein and FF score is -1051.65A.U.

- چکیده انگلیسی: In the present study, variation among different bacterial strains was observed in the plaques of tobacco chewers (TC) as compared to those from normal persons (non tobacco chewers) (NTC). Bacterial strain J1 (dominant in the plaques of NTC) did not initiate the process of adhesion (biofilm formation) until it appeared to have reached a required population density necessary for the production of adhesive substances by the bacterium, which indicating the involvement of quorum-sensing mechanism. The spent media of bacterial strain J15 (dominant in the plaques of TC) also substantially reduced the adhesion of the respective bacteria to the acrylic particles by bacterial strain J1. This indicates the possibilities of existence of some quorum-quenching molecules in the spent medium of strain J1 as well as strain J15 bacteria. These molecules might be exploited for efficient management of dental plaque-biofilms. It may help to avoid the use of extremely high doses of antibiotics which may be harmful in the long run.

- چکیده انگلیسی: This paper studies the reliability measures of a system consisting of two subsystems in a series configuration for different types of failure and two types of repair. The subsystem-1 has four identical units in a parallel configuration operating under 3-out-of-4: G policy and this has connected to subsystem-2 which has three identical units arranged in a parallel configuration and working under 2-out- of-3: F, scheme. The units of subsystem-1 are controlled by a controller for preventing failure effect and safety purposes. It is assumed that units of each subsystem have different types of failure and repair rates. The unsuitability of the environmental conditions such as overheating as a well-known natural cause of failure of any system and also weather conditions like heavy rain, thunderstorm, and catastrophic shakeups, etc. have treated as a complete failure of the system. This study considers the environmental causes of failure in the proposed repairable system as complete failure by which the system stops functioning. Human failure in the system is trickled as complete failure and repair employing copula (Gumbel- Hougaard family copula distribution) like another complete failed states of subsystems. To analyze the proposed system, the supplementary variable technique are used and some measures of system reliability like availability, reliability; MTTF and incurred profit function for different values of parameters are derived. Some particular cases for different values of failure rates that have explicit are also studied.

- چکیده انگلیسی: This paper deals with the reliability analysis of a complex system consisting ofa two dissimilar unit’ in a parallel configuration with correlated lifetime distribution. The system stops functioning when both units stop working. Both units are inspected periodically as well as being examined before assigning to repair facility. Under consideration of the system have two states: Normal and failed. Regenerative point technique has been used for the mathematical formulation of the model. The system is analyzed using Laplace transforms to solve the mathematical equations. Reliability, Availability, MTSF, Busy Period of repairmen and Cost-effectiveness of the system has been computed. The computed results have been demonstrated by tables and graphs. The repair time of both the units follows the negative exponential distribution with different parameters in a joint probability density function. The inspection times are assumed to follow the general distribution. Some particular cases of the system have also been derived from seeing the practical importance of the model.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) is a group of malignant lymphoproliferative disorders arising predominantly in the lymph nodes with various clinical and histological characteristics. At least 25% of NHL originates from tissues other than lymph nodes and sometimes even from sites that do not contain lymphoid tissue. These are referred to as primary extranodal lymphomas (pENLs). pENL is a universal diagnostic challenge to the clinicians and pathologists due to their varied clinical presentations, morphological mimicry, and molecular alterations. The GIT is the most common site of pENL followed by nasopharynx/oropharynx, testis, uterus/ovary, thyroid, and central nervous system. Long bones (tibia), maxillary sinus, skin, and paraspinal soft tissues are the other rare anatomic sites of pENL. We reported a case of a 60-year-old female presented with pain and mass in the pelvis region. 18F-Fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) positron emission tomography (PET) and fused PET/CT was done, which revealed extensive extranodal involvement of the lung, bilateral kidneys, uterus, ovaries, bones, and muscles with no involvement of lymph nodes or lymphomatous organs. Extensive extranodal involvement with sparing of lymphomatous organ has not been reported earlier.
