- چکیده:
- چکیده انگلیسی: Coronavirus outbreak has affected thousands of people in at least 186 countries which has affected the cancer care delivery system apart from affecting the overall health system. Cancer patients are more susceptible to coronavirus infection than individuals without cancer as they are in an immunosuppressive state because of the malignancy and anticancer treatment. Oncologists should be more attentive to detect coronavirus infection early, as any type of advanced cancer is at much higher risk for unfavorable outcomes. Oncology communities must ensure that cancer patients should spend more time at home and less time out in the community. Oncologists and other health care professionals involved in cancer care have a critical opportunity to communicate to their patients to pass on right information regarding practice modifications in view of COVID-19 outbreaks. Countries must isolate, test, treat and trace to control the coronavirus pandemic. There is a paucity of information on novel coronavirus infection and its impact on cancer patients and cancer care providers. To date, there is no scientific guideline regarding management of cancer patients in a background of coronavirus outbreak.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Over the past 40 years mortality from carcinoma of the cervix has fallen due to improved treatment and the
introduction of national screening programs. Awareness and health-seeking practices have been shown to be poor in
many developing countries, necessitating the need for proper awareness and vaccination program The HPV vaccination
is of public health importance. The Indian Academy of Pediatrics Committee on Immunization (IAPCOI) recommends
offering HPV vaccine to all females who can afford the vaccine. Vaccination can be given to females as young as
9 years as well as in those aged 13–26 years who have not previously completed vaccination. The primary obstacle
to HPV vaccination is financial. There are bivalent, Quadrivalent and Nonavalent HPV vaccines available based on
protection against number of HPV subtypes. HPV vaccination and regular cervical screening is the most effective way
to prevent cervical cancer. Parents/caregivers of child must be educated regarding HPV vaccination before offering this
chemoprophylaxis against cervical cancer. Gaps and barriers to the access and delivery of HPV vaccination need to be
identified, so that scientific and public health communities and civil society can be mobilised to adopt the vaccination
policy.- انتشار مقاله: 07-08-1397

- چکیده:
- چکیده انگلیسی:
Oral Mucositis (OM) is among the most common and dreaded toxicities of cancer therapy. It occurs in almost all patients who receive radiation therapy in which areas of oral and oropharyngeal mucosa are included in the treatment field. With the advent of chemotherapy in 1940 and its extended clinical legacy, it is only within the past two decade or so that mucositis’ complex pathobiology has become fully appreciated. There are still many unanswered questions about the risk factors for developing OM, but historically, risk factors have been attributed to both therapy and patient m characteristics. One thing that has been consistent from the initial descriptions of its clinical manifestations has been the frustration on the part of clinicians and patients with the scarcity of therapeutic options to prevent or treat the condition, or effectively ameliorate the symptoms. Clinicians, researchers and those involved in oral and periodontal medicine should join hand in hand in persuit of understanding and developing treatment strategies for treatment of inflammatory conditions like OM in oncology. This will lead to development of effective treatments and reducing the burden of OM and other inflammatory conditions in oncology.- انتشار مقاله: 01-03-1396
