- چکیده انگلیسی: Introduction: Zinc oxide is an inorganic compound with the formula ZnO. Oxide is widely used in various applications, especially in pharmaceutical applications, as well as technical and cosmetic products. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of zinc oxide nano-particles (ZnO NPs) on the motor coordination of male rats in the presence and absence of vitamin C as an antioxidant. Methods: In this experimental study, 80 male Wistar rats with a weight range of 200-250 g were used. The rats were randomly divided into ten 8-memebr groups control group (saline receivers) and rats which received zinc nano-oxide with doses 1.25, 2.5 and 5 mg/kg, rats receiving vitamin C with doses 30, 60 and 120 mg/kg and rats which received both zinc nano-oxide with doses 1.25, 2.5 and 5 mg/kg and vitamin C with a dose of 30 mg/kg.while different groups received the above doses intraperitoneally (i.p) the rate of motor coordination was measured in the first day of study using rotarod machine. Motor coordination was considered as the duration a rat could stay on the rotarod. Results: According to the results, dose dependent ZnO NPs with doses 1.25, 2.5 and 5 mg/kg and the simultaneous prescription of different doses of ZnO NPs and a neutral amount of vitamin C decrease this rotarod duration. Conclusion: ZnO NPs disturb motor coordination. Probably, this is not due to the oxidative feature of zinc because vitamin C could not improve this effect. It seems that this effect is applied by another mechanism such as changing the activities of neurochemical system contributing to motor coordination.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Objective: The present study was hypothesized to investigate the beneficial effects of fresh, aged, and cooked garlic extracts on blood glucose and memory of diabetic rats induced by streptozocine (STZ).
Material and Methods: Diabetes was induced by an intraperitoneal injection of STZ (60 mg/kg body weight). An oral dose of 1000 mg/kg of each garlic extract was given daily for 4 weeks after diabetes induction. Five days after STZ injection, five groups were formed: Control (intact) rats (Cont) + Vehicle of garlic extract (normal saline) (Veh), STZ + Veh, STZ + Fresh (row) garlic (FG), STZ + Aged garlic (AG), and STZ + cooked (boiled) garlic (CG). In order to assess the passive avoidance memory, rats were gently placed on the wooden platform, and latency to step-down (SDL) was recorded as initial phase, after then a light electrical shock [0.3 mA, 3 sec, Alternative current (AC)] was delivered to their foot paw. The retrieval tests were done for short- and long-term memories, respectively. Blood glucose was assayed by glucometer before and after treatment with STZ and garlic extracts.
Results: Hyperglycemia induced by STZ decreased short-term memory in both diabetic males and females rats significantly compared with the controls (pConclusions: STZ causes elevation of the blood glucose and resulted in memory deficits, possibly viafree radicals production in brain tissue. Garlic has some bioactive chemicals including allicin and sulfur compound (OSC) which could lower the blood glucose during chronic hyperglycemia, inhibit free radicals production in brain, and improve short-term (but not long-term) memory.

- چکیده انگلیسی: According to the domestic studies conducted on in the field of internal controls, the gap of providing models for identifying weak internal controls is felt completely. The present study is aimed at providing a model for assessing the quality of internal controls based on the characteristics of the economic unit, the characteristics of auditor as well as their expected goals in the Firm's listed in Tehran Stock Exchange. This model is designed according to quantitative criteria. To achieve the research’s goal, 86 Firm's from all Firm's accepted in Tehran Stock Exchange for the period 2012-2017 were selected and the research hypothesis was tested using the combined data approach. Given the research hypothesis that points out that the internal assessment model based on the characteristics of the economic units, the characteristics of auditor and their expected objectives may more accurately assess the quality of the internal controls, according to the significance level of less than 0.05, the independent variables indicate a significant relationship between the internal controls assessment model based on the characteristics of the economic units, the characteristics of auditor and their expected objectives as well as the weaknesses of the internal control of the Firm. Furthermore, the estimated coefficient of the control variables of the research indicates a significant relationship between these variables and the weaknesses of the internal controls.
