- چکیده:
- چکیده انگلیسی: The present investigation was carried out to evaluate the pharmacognostic properties of Citrus aurantium seeds as well as its anti-inflammatory activities. The n-hexane fraction of seed oil extracted via a Soxhlet extractor and subjected to pharmacognostic assays, HPTLC and GC-MS analysis for determination of fatty acids and sterols. The possible anti-inflammatory and antinociceptive activities in rats were evaluated using formalin-induced paw licking, oedema and myeloperoxidase activity assessment. Total ash, acid insoluble and water soluble ash values were determined as 35.83 ± 4.92, 6.67 ± 2.89 and 28.33 ± 5.77 mg/g, respectively. HPTLC assessment revealed the presence of different fatty acids and steroidal triterpenes. The principal fatty acids of the seed oil were linoleic acid (C18:2, 50.10 ± 2.58 %) and Oleic acid (C18:1, 30.14 ± 0.39). Esterified (2.40 mg/g) and free β-sitosterol (32.90 mg/g), free campesterol (3.9 mg/g) and free stigmasterol (10.165 mg/g) were detected in the oil. Seed oil exhibited anti-inflammatory properties in the first and the second phases of formalin test. Also, it had anti-edematogenic effects but exerted no effects on myeloperoxidase activity.

- چکیده:
- چکیده انگلیسی: Introduction: Dermoid/Epidermoid cysts are rare pathologic lesions that may involve the floor of the mouth. Infection and inflammation of the cyst can produce a clinical picture very similar to the submandibular and submental abscesses with odontogenic origin. Dermoid/epidermoid cysts are on the floor of the mouth with submental or submandibular component can be mistaken for odontogenic infections.
Methods: Four biopsy proven dermoid/epidermoid cysts operated in the Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, Ghaem hospital (2012-2013), were reviewed.
Results: Four patients, including two classic cases and two infected dermoid/epidermoid cysts, were erroneously diagnosed as odontogenic infection.
Discussion: The lesions located solely below mylohyoid muscle need to be removed through anextraoral approach but the lesions above the mylohyoid muscle or those that have both supra- and infra-mylohyoid components can be removed through an intraoral incision.
Conclusion: Dermoid/epidermoid cysts should be considered in the differential diagnosis of submental/submandibular swellings. In the absence of an odontogenic cause of infection, fine-needle aspiration biopsy and appropriate imaging evaluation techniques with sonography, CT or MRI are mandatory for correct diagnosis and surgical treatment planning. The clinicians should be very cautious to differentiate odontogenic infections from infected dermoid/epidermoid cysts.- انتشار مقاله: 04-09-1393

- چکیده:
- چکیده انگلیسی: This study investigates the effect of compression ratio and different fuels on engine performance and exhaust emissions in a 6.8L Turbocharged Industrial Diesel Engine. For carried out this work, a 6 cylinder four stroke engine with GT Power software is modelled and the effect of compression ratio (15:1 - 19:1) and alternative fuels (Diesel, Ethanol, Methanol, Decane, Soybean biodiesel, Diesel- Ethanol) at WOT and various speeds from 800-2400 rpm are presented. The results indicate that the brake specific fuel consumptions of decane fuel at a compression ratio of 17:1 is lower than those of other fuels and also the maximum brake torque obtained with decane fuel at 1400 rpm. At this engine observed that decane fuel has higher brake power as compared to other fuels used due to higher heating value content. The emission results show that diesel fuel emitted more Carbon monoxide and Carbon dioxide emissions but soybean biodiesel (B100) has less Carbon monoxide, whereas highest NOx is founded with soybean biodiesel. Carbon monoxide and Carbon dioxide emissions are very close to each other when used decane and diesel fuel. In general decane fuel has higher performance and soybean biodiesel had fewer emissions at a compression ratio of 17:1.

- چکیده:
- چکیده انگلیسی: Start of fuel injection and fuel type are two important factors affecting engine performance and exhaust emissions in internal combustion engines. In the present study, a one-dimensional computational fluid dynamics solution with GT-Power software is used to simulate a six-cylinder diesel engine to study the performance and exhaust emissions with different injection timing and alternative fuels. Starting the fuel injection was from 10 °CA BTDC to the TDC with an interval between two units and from alternative fuel bases (diesel), including methanol, ethanol, diesel, and ethanol compounds, biodiesel and decane was used. To validate the model, a comparison is made between simulation data and experimental data (including torque and power) showing the validation error is less than 6.12% and indicating the software model validation. Also, the modeling results show that decane fuel has higher brake power and brake torque of more than 6.10 % while fuel is injected at 10 °CA BTDC compared to the base fuel, and illustrates a reduction of 5.75 % in specific fuel consumption due to producing higher power. In addition, with the advance of injection timing compared to baseline, the amount of CO and HC in biodiesel fuel reduces to 83.88% and 64.87%, respectively, and the lowest NOX emission with the retardation of starting injection, to decane fuel is awarded. In general, the results show that decane fuel could be a good alternative to diesel fuel in diesel engines when it starts fuel injection at 10 °CA BTDC.

- چکیده:
- چکیده انگلیسی: Dentoalveolar fracture is defined as a fracture in the bone surrounding the teeth without any extension to the basal bones of the maxilla or mandible (1). As for other parts of the facial skeleton, the treatment strategy for dentoalveolar fractures consists of fracture reduction, fixation and immobilization (2); however, some dentoalveolar fractures are difficult to treat. In some dentoalveolar fracture cases, even after proper fracture reduction, the incisal edges of the teeth in the fractured segment remain slightly above the occlusal plan. Apical force will resolve the problem by leveling the incisal edges.

- چکیده انگلیسی: A 16-years-old female patient with painless swelling of the right side of mandible is described. She noticed the swelling from two years ago, without painful symptoms. Axial CT imaging showed buccal expansion with intact buccal and lingual cortical bone. The report of incisional biopsy was central odontogenic fibroma. Under general anesthesia the lesion was removed after ostectomy of buccal cortical plate and inferior alveolar nerve preserved. Three-year follow-up after tumor excision relieved no recurrence.

- چکیده انگلیسی: The calcifying odontogenic cyst (COC) is a rare odontogenic cyst. Only 2% of all odontogenic cysts and tumors are COC. COC associated with odontoma (COCaO) reported in 24% of COCs. COCaO presents a greater incidence in female, with a ratio of 2 to 1. The highest incidence of COCaO occurs during the second decade with a mean age of 16 years, most frequently occurring in the maxilla (61.5%). Here, we describe a classic case of COCaO of the maxillary incisor-canine region in 17-year-old girl, and discuss the clinicopathological features and immunohistochemical finding of this tumor.
