- چکیده انگلیسی: The protective effects of Artemia salina L. extract was examined against carbon tetrachloride (CCl4)-induced cell toxicity. In the in vitro model of study, markers such as cell viability, cellular reduced and oxidized glutathione, and lipid peroxidation in HepG2 cells was evaluated. Human liver cancer cell line HepG2 was treated with CCl4 and Artemia salina extract, and markers of hepatotoxicity were investigated. Artemia salina extract showed significant dose-dependent protective effects against the cytotoxicity of CCl4. This extract was able to normalize the levels of GSH, and thiobarbituric acid-reactive (TBARs), which were altered due to CCl4 intoxication in HepG2 cells. As the oxidative stress markers were ameliorated, it might be concluded that Artemia salina extract possesses protective effects probably due to its antioxidant constituents.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Taurine (2-aminoethane sulfonic acid) is a non-protein amino acid found in high concentration in different tissues. Glycine (Amino acetic acid) is the simplest amino acid incorporated in the structure of proteins. Several investigations indicate the hepatoprotective properties of these amino acids. On the other hand, antineoplastic agents-induced serum transaminase elevation and liver injury is a clinical complication. The current investigation was designed to screen the possible hepatoprotective properties of taurine and glycine against antineoplastic drugs-induced hepatic injury in an ex vivo model of isolated perfused rat liver. Rat liver was perfused with different concentration (10 µM, 100 µM and 1000 µM) of antineoplastic drugs (Mitoxantrone, Cyclophosphamide, Cisplatin, 5‑Fluorouracil, Doxorubicin and Dacarbazine) via portal vein. Taurine and glycine were administered to drug-treated livers and liver perfusate samples were collected for biochemical measurements (ALT, LDH, AST, and K+). Markers of oxidative stress (reactive oxygen species formation, lipid peroxidation, total antioxidant capacity and glutathione) were also assessed in liver tissue. Antineoplastic drugs caused significant pathological changes in perfusate biochemistry. Furthermore, markers of oxidative stress were significantly elevated in drug‑treated livers. It was found that taurine (5 and 10 mM) and glycine (5 and 10 mM) administration significantly mitigated the biomarkers of liver injury and attenuated drug‑induced oxidative stress. Our data indicate that taurine and glycine supplementation might help as potential therapeutic options to encounter anticancer drugs-induced liver injury.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Xenobiotics-induced liver injury is a major challenge for clinicians and pharmaceutical industry. Hence, finding new therapeutic molecules against this complication has clinical value. The current investigation aimed to evaluate the potential protective effects of different fractions obtained from Gundelia tournefortii (GT) hydroalcoholic extract in a rat model of acute hepatic injury. Male Sprague-Dawley rats (200‑250 g) were treated with carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) (1.5 ml/kg, i.p), then ethanol, water, chloroform, ethyl acetate, and n-Butanol fractions of GT extract were administered. Biochemical and histopathological markers of hepatic injury were assessed and glutathione (GSH) and lipid peroxidation were monitored in liver samples. CCl4 administration caused hepatotoxicity as revealed by an increase in serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) activity, as well as pathological changes of the liver. Furthermore, a significant reduction in hepatic glutathione content and an elevation in lipid peroxidation were observed in CCl4‑treated rats. It was found that the n‑butanol (200 mg/kg) and the ethyl acetate (300 mg/kg) fractions of GT extract protected liver against CCL4‑induced damage as judged by lower AST, ALT, LDH and lipid peroxidation, prevention of tissue glutathione depletion, and alleviation of histopathological damages of liver in extract‑treated animals. As n‑butanol and the ethyl acetate fractions of GT effectively alleviated the liver injury induced by CCl4 and provide antioxidant properties, we might be able to propose that the hepatoprotective chemicals of Gundelia extract are present in these fractions.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is an attractive preparation in regenerative medicine due to its potential role on the healing process in different experimental models. This study was designed to investigate the wound healing activity of a new formulation of PRP. Different gel-based formulations of PRP were prepared. Open excision wounds were made on the back of male Sprague-Dawley rats, and PRP gel was administered topically once daily until the wounds healed completely (12 days). The results revealed that the tested PRP formulation significantly accelerated the wound healing process by increasing the wound contracting, tissue granulization, vascularization, and collagen regeneration. Interestingly, we found that there were no significant differences between PRP formulation and its gel base in all above mentioned parameters. Although this investigation showed that PRP formulation had significant wound healing effects, but the PRP gel base also had significant wound healing properties. This might indicate the wound healing properties of the PRP gel ingredients in the current investigation.

- چکیده: La présente recherche, en s’appuyant sur les concepts narratologiques de Gérard Genette, cherche à étudier la question du point de vue dans Un amour de Swann de Marcel Proust. L’analyse minutieuse de cette question s’avère importante pour une double raison: 1. L’étude formelle de l’œuvre monumentale qu’est À la Recherche du temps perdu dépasse sans aucun doute le statut d’une simple pratique des techniques narratologiques. En effet pour une œuvre dans laquelle le style particulier de l’auteur est au service du fond, l’étude des procédés narratifs est en rapport direct avec la compréhension plus claire de l’œuvre. 2. Un amour de Swann occupe une place privilégiée dans toute La Recherche et cela provient de son thème principal: amour. Là aussi les techniques narratives sont au service du sens du texte. Cet article, en révisant la focalisation interne utilisée dans ce récit, ainsi que l’étude approfondie des autres focalisations et leur fréquence, cherche à répondre à la question de savoir si on peut parler d’une focalisation dominante dans ce récit.

- چکیده انگلیسی: To improve Agrobacterium-mediated transformation of tobacco, factors influencing gene delivery, including genotype of the plant, bacterial strain, and Agrobacterium transformation procedure, were tested via direct somatic embryogenesis. Leaf tissue of three different tobacco genotypes (Nicotiana tabacum L. cvs. Samsun, and Xanthi, and N. benthamiana) were used as explant. Leaf explants were transformed using three Agrobacterium tumefaciens strains (EHA105, GV3101, and LBA4404) harboring the binary vector pCAMBIA1304 using three different types of transformation methods as named Agro-inoculation, Agro-infection and Agro-injection. Selection of hygromycin resistant shoots was conducted on MS medium containing 3.0 mgL-1 BAP and 0.2 mgL-1 IAA, 250 mgL-1 cefotaxime and 30 mgL-1 hygromycin. Hygromycin resistant shoots were then rooted on MS medium supplemented with 250 mgL-1 cefotaxime and 15 mgL-1 hygromycin. The results indicated that A. tumefaciens strain LBA4404 was more effective in gene delivery than EHA105 and GV3101 and Agro-infection method proved to be significantly better than two other methods. The highest transformation rate was obtained with the Agrobacterium strain LBA4404 and Agro-infection method with approximately 72.80%, 84.57%, and 93.33% for N. benthamiana, Samsun and Xanthi, respectively. Histochemical GUS assay confirmed the expression of gusA gene in putatively transformed plantlets. PCR and RT-PCR analysis using gene-specific primers confirmed the integration of the gusA and hpt genes and the expression of the gusA and hpt genes, respectively. Furthermore, Southern blot analysis confirmed stable integration of the gusA gene in selected T0 transformants.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Molecular information of K+ accumulation in grapes is strongly required. Under salinity condition potassium transporters are inhibited by Na+. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of salinity on the expression of K+ transporter genes in grape. Based on the previous screening study on 18 grape genotypes, ‘H6’ and ‘Gharashani’ (tolerant) and ‘Shirazi’ and ‘GhezelUzum’ (sensitive) were selected. Plants were treated with 50 mM NaCl as a critical concentration that was not lethal for grapevine plants. Interestingly, the expression of VvKUP1, VvKUP2 and VvK1.1 genes highly increased in leaves of sensitive genotypes compared to tolerant ones. - چکیده انگلیسی: Introduction: The importance of optimal clinical nursingeducation in professional skills development is undeniable.In clinical education, nursing students are often faced withproblems. Recognizing nursing students’ perception on clinicaleducation is the first step to remove the barriers of this challenge.Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conductedto determine the nursing students’ perspectives on clinicaleducation. 150 nursing students were selected randomly fromnursing and midwifery schools (Tehran). Data collectioninstrument was a researcher made questionnaire consistingof five domains: objective and curricula, instructor, feedbackto student in clinical field, clinical environment, supervisionand evaluation. Mean and standard deviation were calculatedfor each item, using SPSS, ver. 14. Chi-square test was used tocompare the nursing students’ perspectives on clinical educationbased on age, sex and the work experience. The significance levelwas considered 0.05.Results: Mean age of the students was 21.58±26.97 students (66%)were male. 44 students (30.1%) had work experience (3.58±6.48month). Male and female students had different perceptions indomains of clinical education (p<0.05). Nursing student haddifferent perceptions as to objectives and curricula (p=0.039),how to deal with students in the clinical environment (p=0.032),supervision, and evaluation (p<0.001) with respect to their workexperience duration. The most positive responses were in clinicalinstructor (81.5%) and the most negative ones were the clinicalenvironment (33.66%), respectively.Conclusion: Providing an optimal clinical environment andimproving the supervision and evaluation of student practiceshould prioritized in schools of nursing and midwifery.Keywords: Education, Nursing, Perception, Students

This studyaims to find out the role of culture in patient education.Methods: A qualitative study was conducted on 23 Iranian nurses. Inclusioncriteria were minimum 5 years of working experience in clinical nursing. Semistructured face to face interviews were used to collect the data. Interviews were taped, transcribed and analyzed using content analysis method.Results: The main theme of ‘cultural sensitivity’ was extracted from theinterviews. Sub-themes were cultural divergence, cultural connection literacybasedinstruction.Conclusion: A dynamic process of patient education is influenced by variouscultural factors. Nurses must be aware of the cultural norms in patienteducation to meet their expectations in a respectful manner.Keywords: Patient education, Nurse, Culture, Content analysis

- چکیده انگلیسی: Adverse drug reaction (ADR) is one of the most life threatening problems, and the economic burden of ADR is considerable. The main objective of this study was to assess the attitude of the Kerman health system staff, to evaluate their knowledge of the spontaneous reporting system and to identify the reasons for low reporting rate. In this descriptive study, a Persian translated questioner was used based on standard European pharmacovigilance research group. Among 800 distributed questionnaires, 78% were filled and returned. Returned questioner (82%) indicated to have already suspected an ADR but only 4% reported it to Iranian ADR centre. The 4 major reasons for not reporting were: a) reporting process was unknown (65%), b) Iranian pharmacovigilance centre was unknown for the staff (45%), c) the yellow cards for reporting ADR were not available (30%), and d) ADR were not important (22%). We concluded that our medical staff's knowledge about ADR is little. Appropriate teaching and acceptable effort is needed to strengthen the current system and to prevent other serious ADRs.
