- چکیده انگلیسی: Since the 9/11 bombings in New York, and the 7/7 bombings in London, Muslims’ integration in the UK has been under intense scrutiny. Muslim integration, however, has long been a matter of debate in Britain, revolving around the maintenance of Muslims’ distinctive identity and practice. For instance, David Cameron (Cameron, 2011), Britain’s then Prime Minister, announced at the Munich Security Conference that “state multiculturalism” has encouraged “different cultures to live separate lives, apart from each other and apart from the mainstream”. In criticizing multiculturalism, most critics mainly refer to Muslims as being less integrated into wider society than people from other minority groups, and Muslims are shown to be disloyal. The complexity of Muslims’ integration and its dependency on different social, structural and cultural factors are, however, mostly less studied. This paper is designed to understand the social and cultural barriers to Muslim integration. In doing so, it aims to explore Muslims’ integrational strategies to deal with these barriers. Findings of this paper draw on research that involved 43 semi-structured interviews with Muslims across Scotland’s major cities and small towns.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Pragmatic assessment has recently opened up a new line of inquiry for many interested researchers within the realm of L2 pragmatics. Accordingly, different methods have been proposed to assess pragmatic competence. Drawing on request speech act, this study aimed at comparing and contrasting Written Discourse Completion Task (WDCT), Oral Discourse Completion Task (ODCT), and Role-play with the natural method in terms of five dependent variables: length, repetitions, omissions, inversions, and exclamation particles. To this end, 27 intermediate level EFL learners were asked to make two requests with contextual features of low-status, low-imposition, and two requests with contextual features of high-status, low-imposition using each of the three elicitation techniques. Having recorded the natural talk-in interactions of all students and teachers over 15 weeks, the researchers transcribed the gathered data for further in-depth pragmatic analysis. To analyze the data, Chi-Square and binominal tests were run. The findings indicated that role-play yielded the data closest to the natural method in terms of the dependent variables and the differences between role-play and the natural method were less significant than those inherent in WDCT and ODCT. The study implies that more authentic and natural data can be elicited by incorporating features of the natural method into the other pragmatic data collection procedures, namely, WDCT and ODCT.

- چکیده انگلیسی: This paper introduces a new algorithm named C2-ESPRIT to estimate the direction of narrow band signals which are not coherent. The new technique estimates direction of arrival (DOA) by dividing the received signals into two sub-array and performing sub-array processing where a new diagonal matrix is obtained. As the elements of this matrix are associated with the main angles of arrival signals, it can be used to estimate the DOA of signals. The main idea in this paper is how the signal’s sub-array are obtained and a processing method is used. Unlike the two algorithms named ESPRIT and C-SPRIT, where the result of processing the signals were a diagonal matrix and diagonal conjugated matrix, in C2-ESPRIT it may appears in the form of the square conjugate diagonal matrix. The advantages of this method compared to ESPRIT and C-SPRIT, are the reduction of the variance, high resolution and requirement of fewer samples in the receiver. MATLAB is used to compare and verify new C2-ESPRIT algorithm efficiency with three known algorithms: Root-Music, ESPRIT and C-SPRIT.

- چکیده انگلیسی: In this paper, we introduce admissible vectors of covariant representations of a dynamical system which are extensions of the usual ones, and compare them with each other. Also, we give some sufficient conditions for a vector to be admissible vector of a covariant pair of a dynamical system. In addition, we show the existence of Parseval frames for some special subspaces of $L^2(G)$ related to a uniform lattice of $G$.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Introduction: Sentinel node mapping is a new technique of lymph nodal staging in solid tumors, which can decrease the morbidity of regional lymph node dissection considerably. Intra-thoracic tumors including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and esophageal carcinoma (EC) are among the solid tumors in which sentinel node (SN) mapping has been applied. In the current systematic review, we gathered the best available evidence (systematic reviews) in this regard and presented the results in a systematic review format.
Material and methods: We searched MEDLINE and SCOPUS since the inception till 13 December 2014 using the following keywords: (lung OR esophagus OR esophageal) AND sentinel AND (“systematic review” OR meta-analysis OR metaanalysis). No language limit was imposed on the search strategy. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses on SN mapping in EC or NSCLC were included in the current study. Narrative review articles were excluded from the study.
Results: Overall five systematic review were included. One of the included studies was on SN mapping in NSCLC and four were on EC. Overall detection rate and sensitivity for EC and NSCLC were high and both were related to mapping technique, pathological involvement of the mediastinal nodes, size and location of the tumors.
Conclusion: SN mapping is feasible and highly accurate in EC and NSCLC. Attention to the technique (using radiotracers, peri-tumoral injection) and restriction of the patients to less advanced cases (cN0 and T1, 2) would ensure the best results with high detection rate and sensitivity.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Considering the challenges inherent in learning and teaching of summary writing in EFL/ ESL settings, it is crucial to look into various instructional techniques thoroughly. This study investigated the relative effectiveness of three summary writing techniques: Sequence map, answering question, and 3-2-1 technique. To this end, 60 language learners from an English language institute in Ahvaz participated in the study. Before implementing the instructional techniques, a pre-test was administered to gauge the participants' fundamental knowledge of L2 summary writing. Three experimental groups were instructed through the already-mentioned techniques for ten weeks while the control group was given no such treatment. Finally, a post-test was administered to ascertain the effectiveness of such techniques in improving EFL learners' summary writing. The TOEFL-iBT scoring rubric was adopted to score the summaries holistically. Paired sample t-test and ANOVA were run to analyze the data. The findings revealed that the sequence map group outperformed the other three groups in terms of the written summaries. The study further implies that the employment of graphical or spatial representation of textual concepts reduces the complexity and ambiguity of the presented information.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Conventional methods of pear breeding, largely based on intra- and inter-specific hybridization, are difficult because pear is highly heterozygous, polygenic and has a long juvenile period. Genetic improvements of pear cultivars are possible through induction of mutations and gene transfer by genetic engineering. A general prerequisite for these approaches is to establish an efficient plant regeneration system. In the present study, the effect of two basal media (MS and NN) and different concentrations of TDZ (0, 2.5, 5, 7.5 μM) or BAP (0, 4, 8, 16 μM) in combination with NAA (1 μM) on direct shoot regeneration of two pear (Pyrus communis L.) genotypes 'Bartlett' and 'Dargazi' was investigated. The obtained results showed that 'Dargazi' had higher rates of shoot regeneration than 'Bartlett' and in both cultivars the highest percent of shoot regeneration was observed from lower sections of the leaves. Although the highest percent of shoot regeneration in 'Bartlett' (38%) was attained in the NN medium containing 2.5 µM TDZ and 1 µM NAA, the differences in shoot regeneration between this medium and the NN media containing 5 or 7.5 µM TDZ and 1 µM NAA were not significant. The highest percent of shoot regeneration in 'Dargazi' (56%) was obtained in NN medium containing 7.5 µm TDZ and 1 µm NAA. It can be concluded that genotypes, explant types and culture media composition could effect on direct shoot regeneration of pear.
