- چکیده انگلیسی: Mathematical models have been used in many areas of supply chain management. In this paper, we present a mixed-integer non-linear programing (MINLP) model to solve a multi-period, closed-loop supply chains (CLSCs) with two echelons consist of producers and customers. In order to satisfy the demands, the producers are be able to order for materials in the beginning of each period for one or more periods. A fleet of heterogeneous vehicles are routed to deliver the products from producers to customers and to pick up defective products from the customers and move them to the collection-repair center. Also, it is assumed that the rate of defective products is related to the price. In the other words, the more expensive product, the less rate of defect. The objective function maximize the profit which comes from total cost which is subtracted from income. The income is divided two part, selling products and wastes, and total cost consists of several part such as, costs of defective products, ordering cost, cost of holding in producers and collection-repair center, transportation costs, and the cost of assigning place for collection-repair center. Finally, computational results are discussed and analyzed for a numerical example in order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background & aim: Recently, the use of birth ball in childbirth has been widely considered. This review study aimed to critically evaluate the evidence regarding the effect of using the birth ball on the mode of delivery and length of labor.
Methods: For the purpose of the study, the articles related to the subject of interest and published up to August 5th, 2018 were searched in several scientific databases, including Cochrane library, CENTRAL, and PubMed. This review included all randomized control trials evaluating the use of birth ball for giving birth. Two study outcomes were considered in the present study, namely the type of delivery and length of labor stages. Finally, five studies were entered into the systematic review and meta-analysis. The risk of bias was calculated by means of the Cochrane’s tool.
Results: The included studies had a different range of quality, mostly lower than the standard level. The results of the reviewed articles revealed that the group who used birth ball had shorter active labor phase, as compared to the control group (P=0.048). However, the use of birth had no statistically significant effect on the length of the second stage of labor (P=0.128). In addition, using birth ball did not increase the chance of vaginal delivery (P=0.922).
Conclusion: Given the findings of the present study, it is essential to perform further high-quality studies with more scientific design to provide clinical evidence on the use of birth ball as a maternity service.- انتشار مقاله: 08-05-1397

province. Generally, earthquakes are not independent of each other, and time and place of earthquakes are related
to previous earthquakes; moreover, the time between earthquakes affects the pattern of their occurrence; thus, this
occurrence can be likened to semi-Markov models. In our work, we divided the province of Tehran into six regions
and grouped the earthquakes regarding their magnitude into three classes. Using a semi-Markov model, it

- چکیده انگلیسی: Introduction: The integration of behavioral and social sciences(BSS) into the curriculum of medical students in order to equipthem with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes is anessential issue, emphasized in many researches. Our aim is toinvestigate the barriers to integrate BSS into the general medicinecurriculum as well as the recommended strategies to overcomesuch barriers through a systematic review of literature.Methods: PubMed, ERIC, Scopus, CINAHL, Google Scholar,and OPENGREY were searched for studies on the barriers tointegration of BSS into the general medicine curriculum as wellas the strategies employed to overcome them until August 28,2015.Results: Sixteen relevant studies were included and the relateddomains were categorized as barriers and some strategies wererecommended to overcome them. In addition, the quality of theincluded studies was assessed.Conclusion: Despite the prominent role of BSS in theeffectiveness of health care, these sciences have not beenincluded in the curriculum of medical students effectively. Theidentified barriers and the strategies used to overcome themshould be considered for all integration programs. Future studiesshould focus on the process of BSS integration in the medicalcurricula and should evaluate the efficacy of this integration inmore detail.Keywords: Integration; Social sciences; Behavioural sciences; Curriculum; Barriers

Sentinel node mapping has been used for laryngeal carcinoma in several studies, with excellent results thus far.In the current study, we report our preliminary results on sentinel node mapping in laryngeal carcinoma using intra-operative peri-tumoral injection of a radiotracer.
Materials and Methods:
Patients with biopsy-proven squamous cell carcinoma of the larynx were included in the study. Two mCi/0.4 cc Tc-99m-phytate in four aliquots was injected on the day of surgery, after induction of anesthesia, in the sub-mucosal peri-tumoral location using a suspension laryngoscopy. After waiting for 10 minutes, a portable gamma probe was used to search for sentinel nodes. All patients underwent laryngectomy and modified radical bilateral neck dissection. All sentinel nodes and removed non-sentinel nodes were examined by hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining.
Results:
Ten patients with laryngeal carcinoma were included. At least one sentinel node could be detected in five patients (bilateral nodes in four patients). One patient had pathologically involved sentinel and non-sentinel nodes (no false-negative cases).
Conclusion:
Sentinel node mapping in laryngeal carcinoma is technically feasible using an intra-operative radiotracer injection. In order to evaluate the relationship of T-stage and the laterality of the tumor with accuracy, larger studies are needed.- انتشار مقاله: 23-10-1393

SPECT projections are contaminated by scatter radiation, resulting in reduced image contrast and quantitative errors. Backscatter constitutes a major part of the scatter contamination in lower energy windows. The current study is an evaluation of the effect of backscatter material on FWHM and image quality investigated by Monte Carlo simulation.
Materials and Methods
SIMIND program was used for simulation of a Siemen’s dual-head variable angle scintillation gamma camera. Planar and SPECT scanning of a 99mTc source and a Jaszczak phantom for varying thicknesses of Perspex slabs, as a backscatter media, were analyzed using the photopeak and scatter windows. Simulated planar images and reconstructed tomographic images were evaluated qualitatively, by two nuclear medicine specialists, and quantitatively, by Structural Similarity (SSIM) Index.
Results
In the 99mTc photopeak window, no significant change in total counts due to backscatter material was measured. In the scatter windows, scattering was overestimated compared with a simulated backscatter free SPECT system. For instance, at a thickness of 10 cm, total counts of a 99mTc source detected in the 72 keV windows eventually doubled with increasing backscatter material, compared with the situation without backscatter material. The backscatter contribution plateaued when more than 7 cm of scatter material was placed but there were optimized results for a backscatter thickness of 4.5 cm. Better image quality for the thickness was confirmed by the results of eye interpretation and also by SSIM algorithm.
Conclusion
Backscatter should be taken into account, particularly in model-based scatter correction methods in SPECT for an accurate simulation system optimization.- انتشار مقاله: 19-04-1392

- چکیده انگلیسی: Introduction: In Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT), the projection data used for image reconstruction are distorted by several factors, including attenuation and scattering of gamma rays, collimator structure, data acquisition method, organ motion, and washout of radiopharmaceuticals. All these make reconstruction of a quantitative SPECT image very difficult. Simulation of a SPECT system is a convenient method to assess the impact of these factors on the image quality.
Materials and Methods: The SIMIND Monte Carlo program was employed to simulate a Siemens E.CAM SPECT system. Verification of the simulation was performed by comparing the performance parameters of the system. The verified system was used for SPECT simulations of homogenous and inhomogeneous voxelized phantoms in conjugation with hardware modifications. The resulting data were compared with those obtained from the simulated system without any modifications. Image quality was assessed by comparing the Structural SIMularity index (SSIM), contrast, and resolution of images.
Results: The energy spectra acquired from both simulated and real SPECT systems demonstrated similar energy peak regions. The resulting full-widths-at-half-maximums were 13.92 keV for the simulation and 13.58 keV for experimental data, corresponding to energy resolutions of 9.95% and 9.61%, and with calculated sensitivities of 85.39 and 85.11 cps/MBq, respectively. Better performance parameters were obtained with a hardware-modified system constructed using a 0.944 cm thickness NaI(Tl) crystal covered by a layer of 0.24 cm aluminum, a slat of 4.5 cm Pyrex as a backscattering medium, and a parallel hole collimator of Pb-Sb alloy with 2.405 cm thickness.
Conclusion: The modeling of a Siemens E.CAM SPECT system was performed with the SIMIND Monte Carlo code. Results obtained with the code are in good agreement with experimental results. The findings demonstrate that the proposed hardware modifications in the system appear to be suitable for further improvement of the performance parameters of the system, indicating that future investigations can be conducted on using the system for supplementary studies on image improvement in the field of nuclear medicine.- انتشار مقاله: 10-12-1388

In the current case series, several misconducts occurring over the previous years in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences (Mashhad, Iran) either for Journals or Faculty members were gathered and specific recommendations were provided to avoid similar events in the future. All recommendations are according to Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

To assess the efficacy of foeniculum Vulgar, menthe longifolia and Garlic
in Iranian children.
Methods and Matherials:
Nine databases such as MEDLINE, Scopus and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials as well as domestic database (Persian) such as SID, Iranmedex, Magiran, Medlib, Irandoc, and Google Scholar were searched using keywords such as
“child” and “complementary treatments or alternative treatments or herbal treatments or Anthum Foeniculum or Capillaceum or Foeniculum Officinale or Foeniculum vulgare or menthe longifolia or Garlic in June 2014
Result:
Five studies were included in the systematic review. Our systematic review showed beneficial effect of Foeniculum Vulgare on redacting of infant colic and also led to significant increase on prolactin levels in lactating mothers. Base on only study, comparison between two groups (Shirafza and placebo Drops) did not show any significant difference in regarding infant weight gain. Menthe longifolia combined with ORS improved frequency of defecation, Volume and consistency of stool. Also Review Systematic showed that Garlic significantly decreased fever, frequency and duration of diarrhea, leukocyte in stool.
Conclusion:
herbals medicine (foeniculum Vulgar, menthe longifolia and Garlic) had beneficial effect on Women's serum prolactin levels, infantile colic, frequency of defecation, Volume, consistency of stool. - چکیده انگلیسی: Objective: We performed this systematic review and meta-analysis study to determine saffron (Crocus sativus) effectiveness and safety in male infertility problems.
Materials and Methods: The databases PubMed, Scopus, Cochrane, Google Scholar, SID, IranMedex and Magiran until July 2016 and reference section of relevant articles, were searched to find both English and Persian clinical trials on male infertility issues that used saffron as medical treatment. Also, the quality of these trials was evaluated by Oxford Center for Evidence Based Medicine checklist. A total of six trials was ultimately included. All statistical analyses were done by Comprehensive Meta-analysis (CMA) Version 2.
Results: Only in one study conducted on sperm parameters, the mean percentage of sperm with normal morphology (p<0.001) and sperm motility (p<0.001) were increased. Quantitative analysis showed that saffron had a significantly positive effect on all dimensions of Erectile Function questionnaire (MD for Erectile function=5.36(p=0.00), Orgasmic function=1.12 (p=0.007), Overall satisfaction=1.23 (p=0.005), Satisfaction with intercourse=2.18 (p=0.00) and Sexual desire=0.78 (p=0.00), Fixed effects model using 3 trials). The result of subgroup analysis based on dimensions of Erectile Function questionnaire showed statistically significant differences among subgroups (p=0.00).
Conclusion: saffron has a positive effect on erectile dysfunction. However, our study showed contradictory results about semen parameters. So, interpretation of results is limited because of methodological flaws of the included studies, erectile dysfunction status and a large heterogeneity among them.
