- چکیده انگلیسی: Sparse coding is an unsupervised method which learns a set of over-complete bases to represent data such as image and video. Sparse coding has increasing attraction for image classification applications in recent years. But in the cases where we have some similar images from different classes, such as face recognition applications, different images may be classified into the same class, and hence the classification performance may be decreased. In this paper, we propose an Affine Graph Regularized Sparse Coding approach for face recognition problem. Experiments on several well-known face datasets show that the proposed method can significantly improve the face classification accuracy. In addition, some experiments have been done to illustrate the robustness of the proposed method to noise. The results show the superiority of the proposed method in comparison to some other methods in face classification.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background:Honey has been shown to accelerate wound healing, which is especially important in the management of patients with full-thickness wounds of skin in dermatologic surgeries. Objective: To evaluate the effects of honey in accelerating healing of full-thickness skin wounds in mice. Methods: Two groups of male NMRI mice (n=12) were subjected to full-thickness skin wounds under general anesthesia. They were then randomly allocated to receive either single daily applications of placebo or honey (n=6 for each group). On each of the 4th, 7th and 10th days after operation, 2 mice from each group were sacrificed using an overdose of anesthetic. Macroscopic and microscopic characteristics of wounds were studied pathologically, histologically, and for resilience, ultimate tensile strength and toughness. Results: Honey increased the formation of granulation tissue, density and activation of fibroblasts, keratinization in surface of wound, thickness of basement membrane and epidermis, and thickness of collagen fiber. It also decreased infection, inflammation, edema and dehiscence, and increased resilience, ultimate tensile strength and toughness of wound. Conclusion: Honey accelerates healing of full-thickness skin wounds in mice.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Recognizing genes with distinctive expression levels can help in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the diseases at the genomic level. In this paper, fast Global k-means (fast GKM) is developed for clustering the gene expression datasets. Fast GKM is a significant improvement of the k-means clustering method. It is an incremental clustering method which starts with one cluster. Iteratively new clusters are added. In each epoch all data points are checked for the k-th cluster center. Therefore a near global solution is obtained. In the gene expression clustering problem, since genes with significant differential expression levels, across the output class labels, are important for the accurate classification of samples, a fuzzy entropy measure is used to adjust the fast GKM for the gene expression data clustering application. To demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed method, three published microarray datasets are used: Leukemia, Prostate, and Colon. Classification results are found robust and accurate using three public classification methods: K-NN, SVM, and Naïve Bayesian.

- چکیده انگلیسی: The present study was carried out in order to isolate, identify, and assess the antimicrobial susceptibility of the causative agent(s) of pneumonic pasteurellosis in sheep in East Azerbaijan province, northwest of Iran. Pneumonia was detected in 320 cases, and the affected lungs were sampled in the slaughterhouse. The samples were investigated bacteriologically for the isolation of two microorganisms from the Pasteurellaceae family. Pasteurella multocida was isolated from six (1.87%) samples, while none of the lung tissues were positive for Mannheimia haemolytica. After the isolation and detection of microorganisms via cultural and morphological tests, the bacteria were identified on the basis of biochemical criteria and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing was performed on all P. multocida isolates, using broth microdilution method. Evaluation of the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of eight antimicrobial agents against the tested isolates showed that all the organisms were resistant to amoxicillin and relatively susceptible to ceftiofur. In conclusion, P. multocida was introduced as the main cause of ovine pneumonic pasteurellosis in the studied district, and the outbreak frequency significantly varied in different seasons of the year (P<0.05).

- چکیده انگلیسی: Salmonella enterica is recognized as one of the major food-borne pathogens with more than 2,500 serotypes
worldwide. The present study addresses antimicrobial resistance of Salmonella enterica serovar Enteritidis
isolates in Iran. A collection of 151 Salmonella spp. isolates collected from poultry were serotyped to
identify Salmonella Enteritidis. Sixty-one Salmonella Enteritidis were subsequently tested against 30
antimicrobials. A high frequency of antimicrobial resistance was observed against nitrofurantoin (n=55,
90.2%) followed by nalidixic acid (n=41, 67.2%), and cephalexin (n=23, 37.7%). Multi-drug resistance
were observed in 35 (57.4%) out of 61 isolates. Twenty-six antimicrobial resistance patterns were observed
among the 61 Salmonella Enteritidis. All isolates were susceptible to ofloxacin, imipenem, enrofloxacin,
chloramphenicol, gentamicin, and 3rd and 4th generation cephalosporins. In conclusion, our results revealed
that implementing new policies toward overuse of antimicrobial drugs in Iranian poultry industry are of
