- چکیده انگلیسی: Introduction: The awareness of the current compliance of Joint commission international standards is a prerequisite for their upgrading. The purpose of this study was to provide a systematic review of the evaluation of Iranian hospitals in accordance with International Joint Commission standard. Methods: The present systematic review was conducted in 2019. Data were gathered by searching the Google Scholar, Scopus, PubMed, and Web of science databases. Search keywords were “medical tourism", "health tourism", "joint commission international", "JCI", "Hospital", "medical center" and "Iran". The search protocol was limited to 2009-2019. Results: The findings showed that the average compliance of patient-based standards was about 68.89% and the average adherence to organization-based standards was about 69.05%. Also, the most compliance with patient-based standards was related to “Anesthesia and Surgical Care”, while the least adherence to them belonged to the area of "Patient and Family Rights". Conclusion: According to the results of the study, Iran's medical tourism standards are not universally desirable; authorities are recommended to focus on continual improvement of their reliability and removal of their weaknesses. In this regard, strategies such as developing a comprehensive and mandatory national qualification program and evaluating its periodic performance in this field are suggested

- چکیده انگلیسی: Introduction: Quality of health services is the rate of achievement to the most desirable resultants of health, so that provided services are effective, efficient, and affordable. Thus, quality evaluation can be an important source of information for recognition of problems and favorable plans in provision of treatment services.Method: In this cross-sectional study, criteria of quality in hospital services and the compatibility rate from viewpoint of providers and recipients of services in Iran were studied using simple random sampling method in 4 provinces of country among 1485 people. Data were gathered using a designed questionnaire; criteria of quality in views of providers and recipients of services in six dimensions were studied. The data were analyzed using SPSSW-20 software. In order to analyze the information, descriptive tests and to determine the compatibility rate between the two groups, Chi-square test were used at a significance level of 0.05.Results:Based on the results of this research, most percentage of accordance between the two groups of providers and recipients of services was in “Human Resources” dimension and in 1st priority (“Knowledge and specialty and skills of physicians and nurses and other people involved in patient care” criterion) with a frequency of 76.3 and 73.1 percent. Among the six studied dimensions, compatibility rate between the two groups, in “Access to Service and Care”, “Respecting Values and Emotional Support”, and “Management and Coordination of Care System” dimensions was significant (P<0.001).Conclusion: Quality evaluation is an important source of information for recognition of problems and favorable plans in provision of effective health services. Therefore, recognition of different views of beneficiary groups and specially attempts to make perceptions of providers and recipients closer in the context of quality criteria are essential.Keywords: Quality, Standard, Hospital, Evaluation

- چکیده انگلیسی: Introduction: Patient safety culture is an important part of improvement in the safety of health care. Knowing its present status is required for development of safety culture. The present study aimed to evaluate the current status of Patient safety culture in hospitals of three central provinces of Iran.Method: The present cross-sectional study was performed in teaching hospitals of Tehran, Alborz, and Qazvin provinces. The standard HSOPSC questionnaire was used for evaluation of the patient safety culture from the viewpoint of 522(Qazvin: 200, Tehran: 312, Alborz: 40) individuals who were randomly selected as workers of the hospitals. The collected data were analyzed using Chi-square and ANOVA tests.Results:The mean positive response to 12 aspects of the patient safety was 62.9%. “Organizational learning” had the highest proportion of positive response (71.18%) and “Handoffs & Transitions” had the lowest (54.49%). There was a statistically significant difference in scores of “Teamwork within Units”(p=0.006(,”Manager Expectations & actions promoting”(p=0.014),”organizational learning and continuous improvement”(p=0.001), “Management support”(p=0.007), “Feedback and communication”(p=0.012), and “Communication openness”(p=0.003) among the provinces, respectively.Conclusion: We performed a full assessment of the patient safety culture in the studied provinces. Organizational learning was satisfactory in the hospitals. The studied hospitals need arrangement of safety-based programs and supports of senior administrators to perform more sophisticated efforts and improve the patient safety culture.Keywords: Patient safety, Patient safety culture, Teaching hospitals

- چکیده انگلیسی: Objective: The length of stay is an important indicator of hospital performance and efficiency. Regarding the importance of the length of stay, this study aimed to design a structural model of the inpatients’ length of stay in the educational and therapeutic health care facilities of Iran in order to identify the influencing dimensions. Methods: The present study was an analytical and applied study. The face validity of the data gathering tool was investigated by the expert judgment and the construct validity was examined by using the exploratory factor analysis. In order to verify the reliability of the tool, the internal consistency was also trialed by using the Cronbach’s alpha. For ranking the influencing dimensions and factors and also in order to examine the causal relationships between the variables in a coherent manner and presenting the final model, the structural equation modeling technique was used in AMOS software at a significant level of 0.05. Results: The mentioned structural model consists of 4 dimensions and 29 factors influencing the length of stay of hospitalized patients. The independent variables are based on priority and importance as follows: patients’ conditions, the underlying factors, the clinical staff performance, and hospitals’ service delivery, which were examined by second-order factor analysis in order to study the relationship between them and the inpatients’ length of stay. Conclusion: Considering the importance of each one of the proposed dimensions from the point of view of service providers in some therapeutic centers of the country by paying attention to the role of each one of them in preventing prolonged hospitalization can be essential in the effectiveness of the treatment and cost reduction.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: Considering the increasing incidence of different cancers, use of modern technologies such
as TTCC can make a dramatic change in treatment of these diseases. So, if the evolution strategy conflicts with
the organizational culture, national culture, and organizational structure of experts in this field, resistance will rise.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the effective factors on the use of TTCC in hospitals affiliated
to Tehran University of Medical Sciences using the AHP model. Materials and Methods: This current descriptive
study was carried out in 2018 on specialist physicians from five hospitals of Tehran University of Medical Sciences.
The data gathering tool was a questionnaire consisting of two sections; demographic items and 27 effective factors
influencing the implementation of TTCC technology, which was evaluated for validity and reliability. Data analysis
was performed using analytical hierarchy process with expert choice and for empirical illustration are used to discuss
the use of covariance-based SEM versus smart PLS software. Results: Based on AHP comparisons in the studied
factors, the highest priority was the Cultural factor. In other words, commitment of senior executives to support
the provision of a new technology with a weight of 0.327. The lowest priority, however, was related to support diverse
approaches, innovation, creativeness, and acceptance of new ideas with a weight of 0.038. In regard with technical
and organizational factors, out-of-hospital access to the intranet network and support provided by the doctors, with the
weight of 0.221 and 0.205 in order, acquired the highest rates. Conclusion: Considering the high prevalence of cancer
in Iran and the necessity of using new technologies in its treatment and by addressing the specialists’ views and opinions
in this field, organizational and national culture in the application of TTCC technology should be promoted. This target
