- چکیده انگلیسی: Background Blended learning means using more than one method, strategy, technique, and medium in education to provide content and training materials. This method can affect student’s learning owing to its flexibility and ability to use advantages of both face to face and e-learning methods. The aim of this study was to compare the effects of two methods of blended and face to face learning on the knowledge and performance of master’s degree students of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences. Methods This research is a quasi-experimental study designed as pretest/posttest, which was conducted on 60 students. Based on the criteria, the selected students were randomly divided into two groups of 30 individuals to receive either blended or face to face learning. Data were collected at pretest and posttest using questionnaires and checklists. The acceptable significance level was set at 0.05 (α = 0.05). Face and content validity of the questionnaire and checklist were assessed by four professors in the field of education. Reliability of the questionnaire and checklist was assessed using Cronbach’s alpha, which gave the values of 0.72 and 0.7, respectively. Data were analyzed through paired and independent t-tests in SPSS version 19. Results Results showed that the increases in pretest scores compared to posttest scores were significantly higher in the blended learning group than the face-to-face learning group (P < 0.05). The score of the blended learning group also showed a significant increase compared to the other group (P < 0.05). Conclusions If the methods, techniques, and educational media are used in the right place (according to the target group) and the right way, it can help improve and facilitate learning.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Introduction: An important factor fostering the achievement of educational objectives and goals is the lecturer. Characteristics of a lecturer could facilitate the teaching procedure and even compensate for the textbook imperfections. Regarding the importance of the subject, the aim of this research is to determine the characteristics of a successful lecturer from the in the prospect of the students of the Shiraz Virtual Universities. Materials and Methods: The present research was functional and for its accomplishment, the measuring- method has been used. For the purpose of data accumulation, the verified questionnaire forms has been used, which reliability of the questionnaires was calculated by the Cronbakh Alpha coefficient and estimated to be 0.93. Statistic Research Community contains 1270 people, from which 1200 people were in Shiraz Virtual University and 70 people were the students of Shiraz Virtual Medical Science University. The volume of research statistic sample, by using Morgan chart estimated to be 351 people, that has been chosen by the proportional classificatory sampling method. The analysis of questionnaires of single changeable test, independent T, dissolution of one way variance (ANOVA) and the prosecution test is also used. Results : The results showed that Domains of scholarship (Virtual University Shiraz of m= 4.37 and Virtual University of Medical Sciences Shiraz m= 4.47), electronic skills (Virtual University Shiraz of m= 3.94 and Virtual University of Medical Sciences Shiraz m= 4.16) and teaching techniques (Virtual University Shiraz of m= 4.21 and Virtual University of Medical Sciences Shiraz m= 4.30) Successful teachers are effective in defining feature (p= 0.001). Conclusion: Research findings demonstrate that, researching, obligation, electronic skills and teaching techniques scopes, are effective in clarification of successful master.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Introduction: E-learning in a manner to facilitate and promote learning by helping ICT based tools. The main objective of this study Comparison of knowledge and satisfaction of general practitioners participating in diabetes training courses by eLearning (offline) and the traditional education. Material & Methods: This quasi-experimental research was performed on general practitioners who had participated in Diabetes continuous medical education (CME). All research cases (74 cases), after filling pre-test questionnaire randomly divided into two groups: one group of traditional practices and retraining in another group of e-learning methods were used. 2-4 weeks later, they filled a posttest questionnaire. The data gathering tool was the questionnaire which completed by the research samples.Results: There was a significant correlation between pretest and posttest scores and the posttest scores were significantly more than the pretest ones in eLearning group (P < 0.01). There was a significant correlation between the research samples' accessibility to computer and their satisfaction to eLearning approach (P < 0.03).Conclusion: Findings generally showed the e-learning was an effective approach to create deep and lasting learning in the participant of continuous medical education

According to the family physician’s idea, evaluatingprograms in order to improve them is one of the necessities ofpromoting quality and increases the efficiency and effectivenessof continuing education. This study aimed to determinefamily physicians’ educational needs regarding health and itsapplicability in continuous medical education in Fasa Universityof Medical Sciences.Methods: In this cross-sectional study, viewpoints of 45 generalphysicians working at Fasa University of Medical Sciences in2013 were studied. Samples were selected through census. Datacollection was done using a researcher-made questionnaire using10-point Likert scale and a checklist with Delphi technique.Content validity of the questionnaire and its reliability wereconfirmed by the experts’ opinion and Cronbach’s alpha of 80%.The data were analyzed through SPSS software version 16, usingboth descriptive and inferential statistics (mean and standarddeviation, standard score (SQ), t-test, ANOVAs). A significancelevel of <0.05 was considered.Results: The highest educational priority was in the field ofmental health (SQ=0.38), and environmental and professionalhealth was the lowest priority (SQ=_0.24). Additionally, withineach of the areas above specific priorities were determined. Basedon the results of this study, gender, graduation date, cooperationtime, and university they were educated in did not affectexpressing educational needs (p>0.05). The most educationalconformity with continuing education was in the diseases area(topic 27%, content 37%). In the areas of environmental andprofessional health and health education, compliance was zero.Conclusions: The physicians stated that mental health was thefirst educational need and environmental and professional healthwas the last one. According to the results, proper continuingmedical programs should be coordinated with educational needs.Keywords: Needs assessment; Physicians; Family; Health; Education
