- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: The use of a neutropenic diet after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) was instituted more than 30 years ago. This diet was targeted toward preventing from infection with organisms colonizing the gastrointestinal tract and the food-borne pathogens, which are the most important cause of illness and death in developing countries. Regarding this, the present study aimed to evaluate neutropenic diet in patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation in a selected hospital. This study also sought to investigate the role of hospital foods in the transmission of clinically important bacteria to the hospitalized patients. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted on the specimens of the foods served in the Bone Marrow Transplant Department of Shariati Hospital, Tehran, Iran. The samples were evaluated in terms of bacterial contamination using the standard method of American Public Health Association and Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Results: According to total bacteria and coliform counts, No contamination was detected in any of the tested specimens. Conclusion: As the findings indicated, the neutropenic diet, was found to be fully in line with the standards of the Ministry of Health and FDA both in terms of guidelines and food analysis.

- چکیده انگلیسی: COVID-19 disease is spreading all over the planet. It is more than necessary that any researcher does his/her part to control this pandemic disease. Since this virus is infectious, and due to the limitations of hospitals, in different matters, such as human recourses (expertise) and needed equipment, it is reasonable to identify a pre-determined number of hospitals as COVID-19 pandemic centers and trying to equip them as much as possible to treat a relative patient in them. This study proposes a methodology based on a multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) method, namely BWM-WASPAS, for COVID-19 preparedness centers based on a location-allocation problem. This methodology is examined in Tehran city as a real-life case study. We find out that the most important item in this decision making is the ICU capacity. However, ignoring the other criteria is not allowed at all.

- چکیده: این مطالعه با هدف بررسی برداشت معلمان زبان انگلیسی (بعنوان زبان خارجی) از ارزشهای آموزش و پرورش انتقادی در آموزش زبان انگلیسی و با تأکید بر جنسیت و تجربه تدریس این معلمان انجام شده است. برای این منظور ، یک پرسشنامه 33 گویه ای از نوع طیف لیکرت تهیه شد. این پرسشنامه پژوهشگرساخت، بر روی 102 معلم زبان انگلیسی که در مدارس زبان در قم ، تدریس داشتند اجرا شد. روایی پرسشنامه با استفاده از آلفای کرونباخ محاسبه و تایید شد (88/=آلفا).
برای بررسی تفاوت معنی داری بین سطح برداشت معلمان زبان انگلیسی مرد و زن از آموزش و پرورش انتقادی، داده ها از طریق آزمون غیر پارامتریک مَنویتنی مورد سنجش قرار گرفتند. نتایج نشان داد که تفاوت معنی داری بین جنسیت و آموزش و پرورش انتقادی وجود ندارد؛ هرچند در برخی از گویه ها (1، 18، 20، 19، و 28) این تفاوت معنادار دیده میشود. برای بررسی تفاوت معنادار تجربه تدریس بر برداشت معلمان زبان انگلیسی از آموزش و پرورش انتقادی از آزمون کروسکال والاس استفاده شد. نتایج آزمون هیچ اختلاف آماری معنی داری را در مورد رابطه تجربه تدریس بر برداشت معلمان زبان انگلیسی از آموزش و پرورش انتقادی (به جز گویه های 18، 19، و 32) نشان نداد. این نتایج در مقاله مورد بحث قرار گرفته و کاربردهای آن احصا شده اند.- چکیده انگلیسی: This study aimed at investigating the Iranian EFL teachers’ perceptions of critical pedagogy values in teaching English with an emphasis on gender and teaching experience. For that end, a 33-item Likert-type questionnaire was developed. The researcher-made instrument was administered to 102 EFL teachers teaching English in language schools in Qom, Iran. The internal consistency of the instrument was calculated through using Cronbach Alpha. It showed a high reliability (α=.88). The data was subjected to non-parametric Mann Whitney U test to check any potential significant difference between the levels of CP perceptions in the male and female EFL teachers. The results revealed that there was not a significant difference between genders in all items except item1 (p=.021), item18 (p=.017), item19 (p=.008), item 20 (p=.004), item28 (p=.000) and item 31 (p=.03) since the p value for these items was less than .05 (Pallant, 2005). The Kruskal Wallis test was also run to investigate if there were any differences in CP perceptions across four levels of language teaching experience. The test statistics revealed no statistically significant difference in levels of CP perception across four groups of EFL teachers in all items except item 18 (p=.034), 19(p=.025), 31(p=.01) and 32(p=.027) which were significant since the p value for them was less than .05 (Pallant, 2005). Then, the results of the study are discussed and some implications are presented.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Sexual dysfunction (SDF) is a common sequel to cancer treatment which affects the quality of life in women
treated with pelvic radiotherapy. The aim of this study was to evaluate the safety, symptom resolution and objective
improvement the injection of autologous platelet released growth factor (APRGF) for treatment of SDF in cited patients.
This prospective pilot study enrolled 10 cancer-free patients with SDF who underwent pelvic radiotherapy at least 5
years ago, randomly. Each patient was received 1-2 cc APRGF within four weeks and all patients were re-evaluated
at eight weeks and six months. CD34 immuno histochemistry and Masson’s trichrome staining were performed on
vaginal biopsy section for angiogenesis and fibrosis assay respectively. Sexual satisfaction after the injection of APRFG
was clinically difference and the entire patient had sexual satisfaction. In the patient’s follow-up, none of them needs
to repeat the treatment. Our results declared that APRGF injection was effective and symptoms were disappeared in
the entire patients. Significant objective improvements in vaginal diameter (mean before injection, 6.5 cm vs 7.1 cm
after injection) (p-value = 0.001) and vaginal flexibility (mean before treatment, 0.72 cm vs 1.85 cm after injection)
(P-value = 0.026) were observed. Characteristics of discharge before the injection in 60% of patients were included
dry vagina and 40% had mild discharge but after injection 40% of patients had moderate and also 60% had mild and
sufficient discharge (P-value= 0.190). Overally, our patients reported better sexual function and showed better vaginal

- چکیده انگلیسی: Osteopontin (OPN) is a glycoprotein involved in regulation of various influences on tumor progression, such as
cellular proliferation, apoptosis, angiogenesis, and metastasis. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a secreted
molecule supporting angiogenesis in various cancers through activation of the PI3K/AKT/ERK1/2 pathway. OPN and
VEGF have a number of isoforms with various activities. In spite of the well-defined association between OPN and
VEGF isoform expression and cure rate for solid tumors, there is a scarcity of information as to any association in
leukemia. Based on the critical role of OPN in cell survival, it seems reasonable to hypothesize that OPN and VEGF
isoform expression levels may impact on chemoresistance and relapse in leukemia the same as in solid tumors. Hence,
the aim of our review was to explain relationships between OPN and VEGF isoforms and angiogenesis and related
pathways in chemoresistance of leukemia and solid tumors. Our findings demonstrated that OPNb and OPNc alongside
with VEGF isoforms and other gene pathways are involved in angiogenesis and also might promote chemoresistance
and even recurrence in leukemia and solid tumors. To sum up, targeting OPN isoforms, particularly b and c, might be

Osteopontin (OPN) is an extracellular structural protein that is secreted by osteoblasts and hematopoietic cells. It suppresses the proliferation of hematopoietic stem and also plays an important role in promoting survival and drug resistance in leukemic stem cells (LSCs). Since the role of OPN isoforms in AML angiogenesis are remaining controversial, in the present study, we aimed to evaluate whether curcumin (CUR), as a known natural component with anti-angiogenesis effects, in a combination of AML conventional regiment has the potency to preclude induced anti-angiogenesis effects of OPN isoforms or not? Leukemia cells were treated with different concentration of CUR and AML conventional drugs alone and/or in combination with together to find effective doses and IC50 values. Percentages of apoptotic cells were evaluated by Annexin/PI staining and mRNA levels of OPN isoforms and AKT/ VEGF-A and VEGF-C/ STAT3/ β-catenin/ CXCR4/ IL-6/ KDR gene expression were investigated by Real Time-PCR method. Moreover, to confirm OPN gene expression data, we investigated the effect of simvastatin and OPN siRNA as an OPN inhibitor on the cell proliferation and induction of apoptosis in the indicated cell lines. Our data display that Ara-c (2μM and 1μM in KG-1 and U937 cell lines respectively), CUR (40μM in both cell lines), and also their combination significantly increased the percentage of apoptotic cells. Moreover, the mRNA level of OPN isoforms were down regulated in the KG-1and U937 cell lines treated with Ara-c while, upregulated in KG-1and U937 cell lines treated with CUR and its combination. Our results suggest that despite anti-angiogenesis effects of CUR, AML cells probably evade from anti-angiogenesis effects of CUR via induction of OPN b and c isoform and related molecular pathways.- انتشار مقاله: 11-05-1396
