- چکیده انگلیسی: Detecting anomalies is an important challenge for intrusion detection and fault diagnosis in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). To address the problem of outlier detection in wireless sensor networks, in this paper we present a PCA-based centralized approach and a DPCA-based distributed energy-efficient approach for detecting outliers in sensed data in a WSN. The outliers in sensed data can be caused due to compromised or malfunctioning nodes. In the distributed approach, we use distributed principal component analysis (DPCA) and fixed-width clustering (FWC) in order to establish a global normal pattern and to detect outlier. The process of establishing the global normal pattern is distributed among all sensor nodes. We also use weighted coefficients and a forgetting curve to periodically update the established normal profile. We demonstrate that the proposed distributed approach achieves comparable accuracy compared to the centralized approach, while the communication overhead in the network and energy consumption is significantly reduced.

- چکیده: این مطالعه با هدف امکان جداسازی و شناسایی باکتریهای تولید کننده رنگدانه با تاکید بر شناسایی عامل تولید کننده رنگ قرمز-صورتی در کف تانک هچریهای میگو به عنوان یکی از عوامل احتمالی تلفات مراحل اولیه لاروی و همچنین بررسی بیماریزایی این عوامل باکتریایی به مدت 3 ماه در یکی از هچریهای مبتلا در استان بوشهر انجام گرفت. 4 نوع پرگنه باکتری با رنگهای سفید(ویبریو)، قرمز-صورتی(سودوموناس)، نارنجی(آلتروموناس) و زرد(سودوموناس) جدا سازی گردید. از آنجاییکه بیشترین تلفات و کاهش بقاء لارو در تانکهای لاروی همراه با رویت رنگ قرمز-صورتی در کف تانکها بود.باکتری با پرگنه قرمز-صورتی به عنوان عامل احتمالی بروز بیماری در هچریهای میگو شناسایی اولیه و پس از مطالعات فنوتیپی و مولکولی مورد شناسایی قرار گرفت..نتایج فنوتیپی و مولکولی نشان داد که باکتریهای تولید کننده رنگدانه قرمز-صورتی متعلق به جنس سودوموناس است و از لحاظ برخی خواص فنوتیپی مشابه گونه های سودوموناس آنگوئیلی سپتیکا و سودوموناس مزوفیلیکا بود.در بررسی بیماریزایی جهت تعیین حدت این باکتری در دمایC?28-27 بر مراحل لاروی گونه پنئوس وانامی نتایج نشان داد که این باکتری ظرف مدت 24 ساعت در غلظت نهایی CFU mL–1 105×2-5/1 سبب 100 درصد تلفات در مقایسه با عدم تلفات در گروه کنترل می شود.از نظر پاتولوژی بالینی رنگ لارو ها غیر طبیعی و صورتی با یک نکروز حاد در تمام بدن 48 ساعت پس از تلقیح باکتری رخ داد. بعلاوه این باکتری قادر است در محیطهای حاوی بدون لارو میگو تولید رنگدانه قرمز-صورتی ینماید.
- چکیده انگلیسی: This study aimed to identify the causative of the mass mortality observed in zoeal to post-larval shrimp raised in hatcheries in south Iran. For three consecutive months, samples of nauplii and zoea of Litopenaeus vannamei were collected from an affected hatchery located in the province of Bushehr. Upon culture on marine agar, bacterial colonies that produced white, orange, yellow and red pigments were identified. In the hatcheries in which mass mortality was observed, the water columns of the affected tanks exhibited a red-pink color. Therefore, the bacteria that produced red pigment were selected for further phenotypic characterization using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and virulence bioassays. Our results indicate that this bacterium belonged the genus Pseudomonas and that it was identical to P. mesophilica and P. anguilliseptica. PCR analysis of this bacterium revealed the production of a 150-bp band that was consistent with the Pseudomonas genus. To determine the pathogenicity of the isolated bacteria in nauplii and post-larvae of L. vannamei, we performed bioassay experiments by bath immersion at 27-28°C. Our results showed that culture of nauplii and post-larvae of L. vannamei with the bacteria at a concentration of 1.5-2.0 × 105 CFU/mL in marine broth resulted in a 100% mortality rate 24-48 h post-challenge. In contrast, there was no mortality in the nauplii and post-larvae that were cultured in the absence of bacteria. Upon pathological examination, we found that the color of the larvae was abnormal and pink, with acute necrosis of the entire body 48 h post-challenge.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Toleration is a salient characteristic of thoughts and teachings of “Ekhvanossafa and Khellanolvafa” (sincere and loyal friends) community, who emerged about two thousand years ago during the flowering time of Islamic civilization. Their tolerance and forbearance have been observed in some studies conduced about them inside and outside our country, while the roots of their approach, which was put forward centuries before emergence of these themes in the West, have been neglected. This research was conducted with the aim to recognize the roots and destiny of their salient thought characteristic. Meanwhile, it was tried to, beside briefly introducing this thinking way, answer the innovative question of where the roots and factors of toleration of Ekhvanossafa have originated from. It should be noted that to do this research, the descriptive method and interpretation of texts were employed.

Antioxidants are essential elements in reducing the harmful effects of free radicals. The aim of this study was to compare the serum levels of total antioxidant before and after adenotonsillectomy procedure.
Materials and Methods:
This study was conducted on 41 children with the age range 3-12 who underwent adenotonsillectomy. The total level of antioxidants was measured before and two months after adenotonsillectomy.
Results:
The mean±SD level of serum antioxidants raised significantly from 11.17 (15.36) before surgery to 22.19 (10.87) IU/mL after surgery (P<0.001). The mean value was increased from 15.50 (17.97) to 24.89 (12.66) and 6.62 (10.67) to 19.36 (7.98) IU/ml among males and females, respectively.
Conclusion:
Adenotonsillectomy can efficiently increase the serum levels of total antioxidant among children with adenotonsillar hypertrophy. Moreover, it can improve the immune system against free radicals.- انتشار مقاله: 19-03-1397

Osteomas are asymptomatic and rare slow growing bony tumors in temporal bone, and should be taken into account in differential diagnosis of the osteolytic solitary skull lesions. Sometimes is associated with pain and functional loss. Only a few cases have been reported.
Case Report:
We describe a case of an osteoid osteoma of the temporal bone (mastoid) in a 31-year-old woman presenting as painful solitary tumor of calvarium and its management. The resection of whole bony tumor was performed using the retroauricular approach. Pathologic evaluation revealed the osteoid osteoma.
Conclusion:
Although osteoid osteoma of the temporal bone is rare, it should be taken into account in differential diagnosis of the osteolytic skull lesions. Treatment is indicated for symptomatic osteomas or cosmetic reasons.- انتشار مقاله: 20-10-1391

- چکیده انگلیسی: Introduction: Sleep disorder caused by adenotonsillar hypertrophy has been implicated as a cause of primary and secondary nocturnal enuresis in children. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of adenotonsillectomy on enuresis in children with adenotonsillar hypertrophy. Materials and Methods: This prospective cohort study was conducted in Hamadan City in Western Iran, from April 2010 to December 2011. Ninety-seven children aged 3 to 12 years with adenotonsillar hypertrophy who were admitted to Besat Hospital for adenotonsillectomy were evaluated. The primary outcome was the number of incidents of bedwetting (nocturnal enuresis) post-operation compared with pre-operation. Patients were followed-up for 3 months. Data were collected using a questionnaire regarding number of bedwetting incidents, type of enuresis (primary or secondary), and family history of enuresis, as well as results of urine analysis. Results: Of 420 children admitted for adenotonsillectomy, 97 had a positive history of preoperative enuresis, including 42 girls and 55 boys, with mean age of 48 months. The parents of 84 (86.6%) children agreed to participate in the study. Three months after adenotonsillectomy, enuresis had resolved completely in 51 (60.7%) children and had shown relative improvement in 22 (26.2%) children. Enuresis had not improved in the remaining 11 (13.1%) children (P<0.001). Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that adenotonsillectomy can improve enuresis in the majority of children with adenotonsillar hypertrophy. However, further evidence based on large multi-center randomized clinical trials is required to confirm these results.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia (IPEH) is an uncommon benign vascular disease characterized by endothelial cell proliferation and papillary formation within the lumen of blood vessels arising from an organizing thrombus. The occurrence of this uncommon lesion is about 2% of all vascular tumors. IPEH mostly occurs in the 5th decade of life, and there is no gender or age predilection. Nevertheless, some studies have suggested that IPEH is more common in women than in men. The clinical features are mostly asymptomatic, and the lesion is typically characterized as a small, firm, slightly elevated mass with red to blue discoloration of the overlying skin. The main diagnosis of the lesion is based on histological examination. The most common locations of IPEH are head and neck, fingers, and trunk. The occurrence of IPEH in the urethra is extremely rare, with only a few cases having been reported in the literature. We describe a 70-year-old woman with a complaint of dysuria and urethral bleeding of 3 days’ duration. Clinically, the lesion was a palpable firm mass in the urethra. Urethrocystoscopy illustrated a dark mass, a few millimeters in size, with bleeding. Histologic findings revealed dilated blood vessels with multiple papillary projections into the lumen. Thus, based on these findings, a final diagnosis of Masson’s tumor was confirmed. According to clinical and radiographic findings, this lesion is similar to malignant lesions and its accurate diagnosis is based on microscopic findings. Therefore, awareness of the microscopic characteristics of this tumor is very important for clinicians to rule out the presence of malignant vascular lesions and to avoid unnecessarily aggressive therapy.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: Beta thalassemia is a common inherited disease, resulting from one or more of 200 different mutations in the beta-globin gene. Qazvin province has attracted migrations of several different populations due to industrialization during the past five decades. The aim of this study was to define the molecular spectrum of beta-thalassemia mutations in Qazvin province. Methods: Ethylen diamin acetic acid-containing venous blood samples were collected from 100 patients with transfusion-dependent beta-thalassemia from the department of Pediatrics in Qods hospital. Age, sex, history, and consanguinity between the parents were recorded by reviewing the patients’ files. DNA was isolated from leukocytes using the standard procedure. Amplification refractory mutation system (ARMS) technique was used for molecular detection of mutations. Direct sequencing analysis was applied for DNA samples when no mutation was detected with ARMS. Results: Of the 200 chromosomes investigated, 11 types of mutations were identified by ARMS technique while direct sequencing revealed the remaining alleles (9 types of mutations). Total 20 different mutations discovered by this two-step approach. Abundant alleles (IVS II-1, IVS I-10, FSC 8/9) accounted for 59.3% of the mutations. IVS II-1 with a frequency of 31.3 % was the most common while HbS, Cd 74/75 and Cd 15, each with a frequency of 0.55%, had the least frequencies. Conclusion: Beta thalassemia mutations are very heterogeneous in Qazvin province. Extensive ethnic and genetic admixture has resulted in unexpectedly high number of different mutations, most of them similar to that of north and north-western provinces of Iran. Different mutations in this region suggest migration of chromosomes from distant places and genetic admixture.
