- چکیده انگلیسی: Background : The purpose of the present study is to investigate the effect of classroom management based on cooperative learning approach on the educational achievement of students in elementary sixth in science course. Methods : The method of this study was quasi-experimental and with pre-test - post-test using two control groups and two experimental groups. The statistical population was elementary sixth students in Piranshahr primary schools in schooling year 2011 - 2012. Sample size was 120, and through multi-stage cluster sampling, 60 students were classified into experimental groups and the other 60 students into control groups. Classroom management based on cooperative learning approach was used in the experimental groups while that based on traditional teaching approach (lecture) was used in the control groups. The study instruments were inclusive made-researcher educational achievement tests. All the tests were consistent in terms of validity and reliability coefficient (0.91). Data was analyzed by descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation), and inferential statistics (T test). Results : The results revealed that the educational achievement of students having classroom management based on cooperative learning approach with mean scores (15.69) were more involved in learning than students who are based on the Traditional approach (lectures) with mean scores (14.10), were learning (P < 0.01). In the collaborative groups between the two groups, boys with the mean scores 15.63 and girls with the mean scores 15.75 were not significantly different (P < 0.01). Conclusions : Based on the present results, implementation of classroom management based on cooperative learning approach can have positive effects on educational achievement in Science class.

- چکیده انگلیسی: In the digital age, e-learning systems have been employed as new equipment in the higher education system in different universities. Consideringthe importance of optimization of this system, this research is aimed at providing a modelfor the effectiveness of e-learning at in higher education systems. The study is a descriptive survey study in terms of its data collection method.The population includes all the students of electronic courses at the University of Tehran. This population includes 1481 students of the University of Tehran in the academic year 2019-2020. Regarding the population size, 300 students were selectedbased onstratified sampling, using Cochran’s formula.Lisrel and Amos softwarewere used for data analysis. In the first step, byliterature review, and based on the collected information, 87 components were identified to be related toe-learning effectiveness. Then, based on the highest frequency of the identified components in one hand, and their significance from the experts’ viewpoints, on the other hand, 14 components were finally selected and classified in three major classes including;pedagogical, individual and technicalrelated factors.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background and Objectives: Complement proteins are some of the most important plasma proteins of the innate immune system. Impaired immune function is reported in subjects who are iron deficient, and there are documents that these patients are prone to infection. This study was conducted to show whether serum C3 and C4 complement change in adult nonpregnant female with iron deficient anemia or not. Methods: Forty five normal subjects and 45 iron deficient anemia (hypochrom microcytic) cases were entered in this case and control study by using patients’ clinical history and also results of CBC, Serum ferritin, iron and total iron binding capacity. Serum C3, and C4 were measured in case and control subjects with nephlometry method, finally comparison between result of patients group and control group was done with using suitable statistical test. Results: Mean serum C3 and C4 in patient group was 1.28 ± 0.81 and 0.28 ± 0.23 g/L respectively and for control group was 1.39 ± 0.87 and 0.35 ± 0.25 g/L respectively. Although serum complements were slightly lower in patient groups in compared to control group but this differences was not meaningful with t test. Conclusion: This study showed serum C3 and C4 complements levels were not changed in iron deficiency anemia.

Otitis media with effusion (OME) is prevalent among children in such a way that it is the most common cause of hearing loss and surgery in childhood. Immunoglobulin E (IgE) mediated hypersensitivity has been proposed as a causative factor in the development of OME; however, there has been contrasting data in this regard. Therefore, the present study aimed to detect the possibilities of interconnection.
Materials and Methods:
In this study, 37 OME children were selected as the case group and 52 children were randomly chosen as the control group. Allergic rhinitis prevalence, serum total IgE concentration, serum eosinophil count, and nasal scraping cytology were evaluated in all the children. Furthermore, the skin prick test was performed in the OME group and suspected allergic rhinitis patients in the control group.
Results:
Allergic rhinitis prevalence was notably higher among OME patients than in the control group (P=0.01). There were no remarkable differences in eosinophil counts and serum IgE concentrations in the two groups. Nasal smear eosinophils did not show any significant difference between the two groups; however, Appreciable difference was observed in the allergic rhinitis patients, compared to other OME patients (P=0.004).
Conclusion:
There may be a correlation between allergic rhinitis and development of OME. Therefore, it seems reasonable to examine allergic rhinitis patients for OME.- انتشار مقاله: 26-12-1395

- چکیده انگلیسی: Objective(s):Mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) can be isolated from adult tissues such as adipose tissue and other sources. Among these sources, adipose tissue (because of easy access) and placenta (due to its immunomodulatory properties, in addition to other useful properties), have attracted more attention in terms of research. The isolation and comparison of MSC from these two sources provides a proper source for clinical experimentation. The aim of this study was to compare the characteristics of MSC isolated from human adipose tissue and placenta.
Materials and Methods: Adipose and placental MSC were isolated from the subcutaneous adipose tissues of 10 healthy women (25 to 40 years) and from a fresh term placenta (n= 1), respectively. Stem cells were characterized and compared by flow cytometry using CD29, CD31, CD34, CD44, CD45, CD105, CD166 and HLA-DR markers. Osteocytes and adipocytes were differentiated from isolated human mesenchymal stem cells (HMSC).
Results: Adipose and placenta-derived MSC exhibited the same morphological features. ADSC differentiated faster than placenta; however, both were differentiated, taking up to 21 days for osteocyte and 14 days for adipocyte differentiation. About 90% of PLC-MSC and ADSC were positive for CD29, CD44, CD105, and CD166; and negative for CD31, CD34, CD45, and HLA-DR.
Conclusion: The two sources of stem cells showed similar surface markers, morphology and differentiation potential and because of their multipotency for differentiating to adipocytes and osteocytes, they can be applied as attractive sources of MSC for regenerative medicine.- انتشار مقاله: 27-12-1393
