- چکیده انگلیسی: Objective- The aim of this study was to assess the clinical and ultrasonographic alterations in the superficial digital flexor tendon (SDFT) of horses with collagenase-induced tendinitis. Design- Experimental study. Animals- Five clinically normal adult horse. Procedures- Two thousand units of collagenase were injected in the center of the SDFT of forelimbs of each horse under ultrasound guidance. Clinical examinations were performed to evaluate heat, response to palpation, presence of swelling, and lameness grade. Ultrasound images of the SDFT were recorded prior to injury and at 1, 3, 5, 7, and 14 days after injection. Images were digitized, and percentage of lesion, the echogenicity score (ES), and the fiber alignment score of the fibers (FS) at the maximum injury zone (MIZ) were measured. The sum of the core lesion from 8–20 cm distal to the accessory carpal bone was also measured. Results- Collagenase resulted in anechoic core lesion involving 20%-35% of the tendon cross section at MIZ. There were not any significant difference in the size, ES, and FS between all the days except between the first day and the other days. There were no significant differences between observations made of each structure in the left and right forelimbs of the same horse. Conclusions and Clinical Relevance- Collagenase-induced injury is ultrasonographically similar to naturally occurring injury and causes the same tendinitis in both left and right forelimbs and also in different horses. Tendon lesions using collagenase injection represent an experimental model for tendon injury in research trials.

- چکیده انگلیسی: In this paper, ratcheting behavior of beams subjected to mechanical cyclic loads at elevated temperature, using the rate dependent Chaboche unified viscoplastic model with combined kinematic and isotropic hardening theory of plasticity, is investigated. A precise and general numerical scheme, using the incremental method of solution, is developed to obtain the cyclic inelastic creep and plastic strains. Applying the numerical method to the governing equations obtained based on the mentioned unified model, cyclic behavior of the beam due to the combined plastic and creep strains are obtained. Effect of loading rate, creep time, and mean load on ratcheting response and stress amplitude of the beam due to the combination of axial and bending moments at elevated temperatures are obtained. It is shown that increasing the loading rate, results into decrease in ratcheting rate and increase in stress amplitude. Also, the ratcheting strain increases with increasing the creep time while the stress amplitude decreases. The results obtained using the applied method in this paper is verified with the experimental data given in the literature search.

- چکیده انگلیسی: The generalized coupled thermo-viscoelasticity of hollow sphere subjected to thermal symmetric shock load is presented in this paper. To overcome the infinite speed of thermal wave propagation, the Lord-Shulman theory is considered. Two coupled equations, namely, the radial equation of motion and the energy equation of a hollow sphere are obtained in dimensionless form. Resulting equations are transformed into the Laplace domain using the Laplace transformation and discretized by means of the finite element method along the radius. Week's method is employed to obtain the unknowns in the time domain. The numerical results are provided to examine the propagation of thermal and mechanical waves. The results presented visually as temporal, radial and stress-strain plots to shown wave front of various field variables.

- چکیده انگلیسی: In this study buckling analysis of solid rectangular plate made of porous material in undrained condition is investigated. The mechanical properties of plate are assumed to vary through the thickness direction. Distributing of the pores through the plate thickness are assumed to be the nonlinear nonsymmetric, nonlinear symmetric, and monotonous distribution. The effect of pores and pores distribution on critical buckling load of porous plate are studied. Effect of fluid compressibility on critical buckling load is investigated in the undrained condition. Also, effect of temperature on fluid compressibility for symmetric porous material plate, choosing a linear function, is examined. A Direct and analytical method is used for solving governing equations usin Fourier expansion method. The results obtained for porous plates are verified with the known data in literature.

- چکیده انگلیسی: In this paper, an analytical solution for computing the linear plastic stresses and critical temperature and pressure in a FGM hollow cylinder under the internal pressure and temperature is developed. It has been assumed that the modulus of elasticity and thermal coefficient of expansion were varying through thickness of the FGM material according to a power law relationship. The Poisson's ratio was considered constant throughout the thickness. The general form of thermal and mechanical boundary conditions is considered on the inside surfaces. In the analysis presented here the effect of non-homogeneity in FGM cylinder was implemented by choosing a dimensionless parameter, named m, which could be assigned an arbitrary value affecting the stresses in the cylinder. Distribution of stresses in radial and circumferential directions for FGM cylinders under the influence of internal pressure and temperature gradient were obtained. Graphs of variations of stress, critical temperature and pressure versus radius of the cylinder were plotted. Cases of pressure, temperature loadings were considered separately. The direct method is used to solve the heat conduction and Navier equations.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Objective Articular cartilage as an avascular skeletal tissue possesses limited capacity to heal. On the other hand, it is believed that the regeneration capacity of each tissue is largely related to its stem cell contents. Little is known about the presence of mesenchymal stem cells in articular cartilage tissue. This subject is investigated in the present study. Materials and Methods Articular cartilage was obtained from rats of Wistar strain and subjected to enzymatic digestion using 1:1 ratio of 0.2% collagenase I and 0.1% pronase. The released cells were then collected and cultivated in 25 cm2 culture flask, which was resulted in the appearance of two morphologically distinct cell populations. Fibroblastic population were purified and expanded through several subcultures, using their loose adherence on culture surfaces and examined in terms of differentiation potential. Results The primary culture mainly contained polygonal cells with few fibroblastic cells among them. Upon the first subculture, the fibroblastic cells appeared as aggregates of few cells among the polygonal cartilage cells. It was found that the fibroblastic cell population could easily detach from the culture surface following to a brief exposure to tripsin solution. Using this property, these cells purified and expanded by several subcultures. According to the results, the isolated cells were able to easily differentiate into chondrocytic, osteocytic and adipocytic cell lineages. Conclusion It seems that articular cartilage contains a distinct fibroblastic cell population with mesenchymal stem cell nature. These cells can be purified and expanded by cell culture methods, thanks to their loose adherence on the culture dish surfaces.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: Adding magnesium sulfate (MgSO4) to opioid receptor agonists increases the opioid analgesic
effects via blocking this receptor. The current study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of adding MgSO4 to
tincture of opium (TOP) and buprenorphine (BUP) on pain and quality of life (QOL).
Methods: In prospective, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial, one hundred and
sixty-three women with secondary dysmenorrhea caused by endometriosis were selected using a respondentdriven sampling (RDS) and assigned into six groups using block randomization. Patients received 50 mg/kg
MgSO4 in 100 ml saline by micro set in six monthly menstrual periods and completed the visual analogue
scale (VAS) and QOL Questionnaire (QOLQ). Data were analyzed by repeated measures analysis of variance
(ANOVA) and hierarchical regression.
Findings: The primary outcomes showed that pain scores in magnesium (MAG) + opium tincture (OT)
[F = 5.7(1,162), P = 0.004] and MAG+ BUP [F = 4.5(1,162), P = 0.006] groups showed a significant decrease
compared with control group. Also, QOL scores in MAG + OT [F = 4.8(1,162), P = 0.005] and MAG + BUP
[F = 5.9(1,162), P = 0.003] showed a significant increase. However, there was no significant difference
between the two groups (P = 0.140) and the changes did not persist until follow-up (P = 0.810). Secondary
outcomes indicated that the low scores of the two components of QOL including physical and psychological
components were predictors of pain (P = 0.011, Beta > 3.09).
Conclusion: Simultaneous use of MAG with opioids is associated with pain reduction and the improvement of
QOL. However, this hypothesis requires careful handling in a randomized controlled trial
