- چکیده انگلیسی: Objective(s): The purpose of this study is to investigate the indication function of the calcium circulation-related factors on the damage to muscle strength and contraction function after nerve injury. The target factors include ryanodine receptor (RyR), inositol-1,4,5-triphosphate receptor (IP3R), phospholamban (PLN), cryptocalcitonin (CASQ), ATPase and troponin C (TNNC).
Materials and Methods: Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were randomly divided into sham-operated group (SO), sciatic nerve injury group (SNI) and sciatic nerve disconnection group (SNT). Sciatic nerve function index and stretching test were used to examine the changes to muscle strength; bilateral gastrocnemius muscles were extracted after execution for gastrocnemius wet weight ratio test. HE staining slides and average cross-sectional area of muscle fibers were acquired to analyze the muscle atrophy. The transcription level of the factors was also measured.
Results: Sciatic nerve damage in SNI group was significantly higher than that in SO group in the 6 weeks, but there was no significant difference between SNT and SO groups fallowing sciatic nerve damage. Sciatic nerve function in SNT group was worse than that in SNI group. The average cross-sectional area of gastrocnemius muscle fibers in SNI and SNT groups was significantly reduced compared to that in SO group. The transcriptional levels of RyR, PLN, CASQ, ATPase and TNNC in SNI and SNT groups were significantly different from those in SO group.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Objective(s): To investigate the effect of miR-103 on the angiogenesis of ischemic stroke rats via targeting vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) at the molecular level.
Materials and Methods: Rat models had received the middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) or sham operation before grouping, and cell models of oxygen-glucose deprivation (OGD) were performed. FITC-dextran, matrigel, and Trans-well assays were used to evaluate the vascular density, tube formation, and cell migration respectively. The expression levels of miR-103 and VEGF were detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and Western blotting. Dual-luciferase assay was used for analyzing the targeting relationship between miR-103 and VEGF.
Results: We found the reduced miR-103 in rats after MCAO. Down-regulating miR-103 with the miR-103 inhibitor enhanced VEGF, ameliorated the neurological scores, decreased infarct volume, and increased vascular density in rats after MCAO. Besides, in OGD human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs), inhibition of miR-103 could promote the increase of tube length and the migration of cells. Additionally, we found that miR-103 could directly target VEGF and thereby lead to the down-expression of VEGF. Meanwhile, si-VEGF could reverse the effect of miR-103 inhibitor on angiogenesis in rats subjected to MCAO.
Conclusion: Inhibition of miR-103 could promote ischemic stroke angiogenesis and reduce infarction volume via enhancing VEGF, which provides a new target for the clinical treatment of ischemic stroke.- انتشار مقاله: 08-08-1396

- چکیده انگلیسی: The large scale production of Graphene Nano Sheets (GNS) has fascinated many researchers. GNS was produced base on a sustainable raw material namely coconut fruit. Coconut fruit was converted directly to be GNS with ethanol assisted. Then, it was characterized by XRD and TEM. Interestingly, XRD data show the C(002) peak is broad and weak appear, indicating GNS was formed. This data is also consistent with TEM data. Therefore, the formation of GNS may definitely be affected by the immersing process of coconut fruit by ethanol. Base on this research, the large scale GNS may be produced with the facile and benign method.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: There are various causes of male infertility. Infertile men usually have a low quality of life (QoL) and a high level of stress compared with men without infertility problems. The present study aimed to examine the effects of a spousal support program to enhance the QoL of male patients undergoing infertility treatment.
Methods: The present non-randomized controlled trial was conducted among 38 infertile couples in Tokyo (Japan) during April-August 2018. The study employed a quasi-experimental design (pretest-posttest with comparison) using purposive sampling. The levels of QoL, distress, and spousal support were measured using self-administered valid and reliable questionnaires. The paired t test was used to analyze pre- and post-intervention data with SPSS software (version 23.0). P Results: There were significant differences between the pre-test and post-test scores for the relational and emotional sub-scales of QoL. The paired t test results showed that the post-test emotional sub-scale (66.9±16.9) was significantly higher than the pre-test emotional sub-scale (58.5±13.5; t (30)=2.2, P=0.04). Similarly, the post-test relational sub-scale (71.2±21.6) was significantly higher than its pre-test score (60.8±13.7; t (30)=2.3, P=0.03). The majority of the participants 23 (74.2%) expressed satisfaction with the program.
Conclusion: The spousal support program was well-received and significantly improved part of the QoL of men who were infertile due to various causes.- انتشار مقاله: 15-11-1397

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: The elderly is an age group that is susceptible to nutritional problems, especially protein intake which tends to be less intake, so it affects the body mass index. Both of these problems directly or indirectly will also affect the quality of life of the elderly. This study aimed to determine the correlation between body mass index, protein intake and quality of life in the elderly.
Methods: In a cross-sectional design, a sample of 165 elderlies aged≥60 years were enrolled and randomized from three community health centers of Karanganyar Regency. The body mass index (BMI), height, weight, protein intake data were obtained through interviews using 24-hour recall form. The quality of life data was prepared through interviews using the WQOOL-BREF questionnaire.
Results: There was a significant correlation between protein intake and quality of life; however, there was no correlation between body mass index and the quality of life.

- چکیده انگلیسی: One of the mos t significant concerns of urban planners, at metropolitan cities, especially in old and worn out textures, is the reduction of the quality of life and the environment, so they are always seeking for a way to improve these qualities. Low level of available services and amenities, besides physical and social disorders, have caused numerous problems and have totally become as important factors of unsus tainability in such a metropolitan area. In this article, we aimed to identify those effective factors which contribute to environmental quality of neighborhoods, such as Cyrus in the city of Tehran, which have experienced urban decayed. A research method that was employed in this paper is descriptive – analytical. Data were obtained from ques tionnaires dis tributed to a randomly selected sample of 384 respondents also the interview technique was applied to gather data from residents. After that ques tionnaire was developed using the identified external and internal factors, and determined s trategies adminis tered to 30 experts in the field of urban planning. Further, experts participated in the formal group discussion in order to weight SWOT factors and prioritize the identified s trategies, respectively. The results of this s tudy sugges t that according to the perspective of residents, experts reflected in the s trategic analysis plan by using the SWOT, Internal and External (Matrix IE) and QSPM matrix; one of the key factors and the mos t preferred s trategy to improve environmental quality in Cyrus is considering social factors such as maintaining local and original residents, increasing safety/security, keeping identity of neighborhoods and creating open spaces and decent leisure places.

- چکیده انگلیسی: The Protein kinase CK2 (formerly known as casein kinase 2) is a highly conserved serine/ threonine kinase
overexpressed in various human carcinomas and its high expression often correlates with poor prognosis. CK2 protein
is localized in the nucleus of many tumor cells and correlates with clinical features in many cases. Increased expression
of CK2 in mice results in the development of various types of carcinomas (both solids and blood related tumors, such
as (breast carcinoma, lymphoma, etc), which reveals its carcinogenic properties. CK2 plays essential roles in many key
biological processes related to carcinoma, including cell apoptosis, DNA damage responses and cell cycle regulation.
CK2 has become a potential anti-carcinoma target. Various CK2 inhibitors have been developed with anti-neoplastic
properties against a variety of carcinomas. Some CK2 inhibitors have showed good results in in vitro and pre-clinical
models, and have even entered in clinical trials. This article will review effects of CK2 and its inhibitors on common

- چکیده انگلیسی: The hemagglutination assay is a simple and easy method to specify a lectin. An activelectinagglutinates erythrocytes by recognizing a carbohydrate on the cell surface and forming a cross-linked network in suspension. The assay is traditionally performed on a microtiter plate, where the lectin solution is serially diluted and the minimum concentration of a lectin causing agglutination is detected. The crude extract of Senna occidentalis and Sesbania bispinosa seedscontain considerable amount of protein. It was found that 10 gm of Sesbania bispinosaand Senna occidentalis seeds contain about 12.6 mg/mL and 9.8 mg/mL of protein and minimum agglutination concentration was found to be 0.393 mg/mL for Sesbania bispinosa in each group of human erythrocytes (A, B, O and AB) and 0.613 mg/mL for Senna occidentalis in chicken erythrocytes. Finally, the hemagglutination assay confirmed that possible lectins have been presented in the Sesbania bispinosa and Senna occidentalisplant sources.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Factors affecting the performance of polyvinyl chloride based ion selective electrode such as using different cationic exchangers and ionophores as well as sensor fabrication procedures were recently the scope of study by several researchers. This work presents an environment friendly electro-analytical method for the determination of Triprolidine HCl (TRI) and Pseudoephedrine HCl (PSE). A comparative study was held between five suggested sensors for each drug to reach optimum response. They were developed using several exchangers as tetraphenylborate (TPB), phosphotungestate (PT) and tetrakis with different ionophores as β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) and calixarene using nitrophenyl octyl ether (NPOE) as a plasticizer. Also different strategies were applied for their membrane fabrication. Conventional sensors (3a and 3b) and solid contact gold sensors (a and b) showed the best sensitivity as well as the fastest response for determination of TRI and PSE, respectively .The two conventional sensors were composed of (PVC/TPB/β-CD/NPOE) and (PVC/PT/calixarene/NPOE) in addition to the solid contact gold sensors were composed of (TPB/β-CD/NPOE) and (PT/calixarene/NPOE). Moreover those sensors succeeded to determine TRI and PSE in their different pharmaceutical formulations. Method validation was assessed according to IUPAC recommendations. The method is considered to be a green eco-friendly technique that neither requires sample pre-treatment nor derivatization
