- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: The emergence and use of e-learning in education have been one of the most important achievements of higher education which can solve many of the problems of this system, and addressing the challenges of e-learning are one of the concerns and problems of our society. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to explore the students’ experience of e-learning challenges at the Virtual School of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences (SUMS). Method: The research design was qualitative with the phenomenological method. Potential participants included students from Virtual School of SUMS. 10 students were selected using a purposive sampling method with a standard technique. The data collection method consisted of a semi-structured interview. After coding the data using thematic analysis method, basic, organizing, and inclusive themes were extracted. Results: Results classified the challenges of e-learning at the Virtual School of SUMS into six general categories which are as follows: 13 educational challenges, including the extensive amount of context in the courses as well as a large number of modules, disregarding the educational prerequisites of the field, failure of professors to accompany students at the early stages of the projects, etc.; 10 organizational challenges including non-diversification of e-learning courses, high availability of online academic staff due to lack of e-learning experience, 9 ethical challenges such as lack of appropriate culture for applying this discipline, negative perception towards e-learning, 8 technical challenges including low speed of internet, shortage of physical spaces in e-learning, 5 supportive challenges such as lack of facilities, lack of permission to use the university canteen, 5 evaluation challenges such as mandatory in-person exams in e-learning courses, not allocating a reasonable proportion of the final mark to in-person exams, 3 managerial challenges such as inefficiency of the educational content, rejection of students by the head of virtual faculty due to lack of time and lastly, 2 communicational challenges such as lack of interaction with academic staff and classmates as well as lack of face-to-face communication. Conclusion: Understanding the challenges and obstacles of establishing e-learning in Iran's higher education and providing practical solutions for them, developing this type of education and, as a result, the excellence of Iran's educational system.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: Virtual mobility, as one of the emerging phenomena in the internationalization of higher education, is a process that all activities within it are done electronically or digitally. It is used, among others, to facilitate physical activities, such as student exchanges, with the help of information and communication technologies. Objectives: The current study aimed at the identification of effective strategies in facilitating virtual mobility. Methods: In order to achieve the objectives of the study, a qualitative approach and a phenomenological research method were used. The statistical population included all the experts experienced in the area of internationalization from the top five comprehensive and public universities in Iran, including the University of Tehran, Shahid Beheshti University, Tarbiat Modares University, Mashhad Ferdowsi University, and Shiraz University. The participants included 27 experts with international experience purposefully selected from the five universities and their comments were collected using semi-structured interviews to achieve the theoretical saturation of data. The content analysis of the data was done using MAXQDA version 2018 software. Results: Seventeen minor components were identified as effective strategies in facilitating virtual mobility in higher education. The main effective strategies in facilitating virtual mobility were organized in four major themes, including promoting university websites, promoting social networks, improving virtual infrastructure, and strengthening virtual branding. Conclusions: The results of the study showed that among the components, promoting university websites and promoting social networks were the most important factors highlighted by the experts as the factors that could facilitate the process of virtual mobility as an area in which more must be invested.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: Mentoring is used as a developmental model in many academic disciplines including clinical medicine and public health sciences. An effective relationship between the instructor or faculty member and the student can be particularly helpful in the professional growth and improvement of students, especially, in clinical disciplines. The current study aimed at presenting a framework for effective e-mentoring relationships in medical sciences to improve the quality of e-mentoring in this field. Methods: The current study presented a framework for effective e-mentoring relationships using a qualitative meta-synthesis method. The previous studies on the effective factors in mentoring relationships from 2000 to 2017 were analyzed. The research population included all indexed articles in PubMed, Sage, Taylor and Francis, Science Direct, Emerald, Springer, Scopus, and Web of Science. After 2 stages of screening based on the title and abstract of the articles, 90 articles were selected and studied. Finally, 27 articles with the highest relevance to the topic were selected as the research sample. Research data were extracted from these articles by means of open coding, and then, the data were analyzed and synthesized. Results: Twenty-eight minor components were identified for effective e-mentoring in medical sciences in higher education. The main e-mentoring framework was organized in terms of 4 major components; i e, communication medium, quantity of communication, quality of communication, and communication outcome. Conclusion: In light of the findings of previous studies on mentoring in higher education over 17 years, the current study presented a framework for policy-making, evaluation, and development of mentoring relationship between instructors and students in clinical medical sciences in higher education.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: Since mobile learning is emerging as an alternative approach to teaching, educational institutions have used this approach to improve the teaching and learning process. This paper aimed at exploring learners’ experiences of mobile learning in vocational and technical education courses. Methods: The research method in this study was phenomenology. In this method, researchers investigated learners’ lived experiences of mobile learning in vocational and technical education courses by semi-structured interviews. Participants (two classrooms: 32 people) were all learners, who attended this course. Results: According to theme analysis of interviews, nine basic themes were identified, two organizing themes and one global theme. Based on thematic analysis, the results showed that learners had a positive perception of mobile learning. Conclusions: Using mobile learning, learners gain greater quality and in-depth learning and the opportunity to study anywhere and at any time.

- چکیده: مهارتهای فعلی رهبران برای موفقیت در آینده پیش رو، کافی نخواهند بود. رهبران آینده باید مجهز به سوادهای جدید باشند. هدف این پژوهش، کشف الگوی سوادهای جدید رهبری مدیران ارشد حوزههای اقتصادی بود. روش پژوهش تحلیل محتوای کیفی و مرجع دادههای پژوهش، کتابهای "پنج سواد رهبری جهانی" (هامس، 2007) و "سوادهای جدید رهبری" (یوهانسن، 2017) بود که به طور کامل و بر اساس واحد تحلیل مضامین، مطالعه شدند. یافتههای پژوهش شامل 184 شایستگی مبتنی بر 10 سواد رهبری میشد: "1.هوش شبکهای" شامل یادگیری انطباقی و رهایی از مفروضات و باورهای نادرست؛ "2.آیندهنگری" شامل تصمیمهای ساختمند و سازگاری مطلوب با پیچیدگی، "3. هدایتگری راهبردی" شامل کمک به تضمین ماندگاری سیستم و پیوستگی تفکر با تصمیمسازی جمعی و هوشمندانه؛ "4.طراحی ژرفاندیشانه" شامل هوشیاری مستمر و تعامل در یادگیری مشارکتی، "5.طنین برند" شامل بهرهبرداری از سرمایه فکری مشتریان و ارتباط خودجوش و سازنده، "6.نگاه به آینده و عمل در حال" شامل آیندهنگری شفاف و تبدیل تهدیدها به فرصت، "7.استقبال داوطلبانه از ترس" شامل تبدیل احساس ترس به احساسی مثبت و یادگیری از اشتباهات خود، "8.رهبری سازمانهایی با شکل متغیر" شامل رهبری سیال، سلسلهمراتب منعطف، "9.حضور در عین عدم حضور" شامل توسعه برند شخصی و مهارت در انتخاب بهترین رسانه و "10.ایجاد و حفظ انرژی مثبت" شامل متعادل سازی انرژی شخصی و اجتناب از شخصیتهای سمی. در عصر جدید تجهیز مدیران به سوادهای جدید رهبری، به آنان در توسعه و بالندگی سازمان، زیردستان و پاسخگویی به محیط و کسب مزیت رقابتی یاری میرساند.
- چکیده انگلیسی: The current skills of leaders will not be enough to succeed in future. Future leaders should be equipped with new literacies. This study intend to generate the new pattern of the new leadership literacies of senior managers of economic areas.
The method of research was qualitative content analysis and reference data of research included the books of Hames (2007) and Johansen (2017), which were completely studied. Unit of analysis was theme. The study findings included 184 basic themes in the top ten themes of literacy organizers: 1.’Networked Intelligence’: Adaptation through learning; 2.‘Futuring’: to cope better with complexity; 3.’Strategic Navigation’: helping to assure the long-term viability of the whole system; 4.’Deep Design’: continuous consciousness; 5.’Brand Resonance’: Viral forms of communication; 6.’Looking Backward from the Future’: Clarity; 7.’Voluntary Fear Engagement’: turning fear into something positive; 8.‘Leadership for Shape-Shifting Organizations’: liquid leadership; 9.’Being There When You’re Not There’: very skilled at choosing the best media for communicating, and 10.’Creating and Sustaining Positive Energy’: balancing their own personal energy. - چکیده انگلیسی: Sulforaphane (SFN) is an isothiocyanate which is produced through glucoraphanin hydrolysis via myrosinase activity. In the present study, SFN content and peroxidase activity has been assessed in treated Lepidium draba seedlings with different concentrations of iron and copper during 8 and 16 hours treatment. The results showed that the SFN content drastically elevated at treatment with 1 mg/L Fe2+ after 8 hours treatment which was around two-fold compared to the control. But its content decreased in treated seedlings with higher Fe2+ concentrations as well as treatment with all concentrations of Cu2+. Furthermore, promotion of peroxidase activity was seen in the treated seedlings with the both elicitors. The data revealed that not only the inhibitory effect of Cu2+ on SFN production was stronger than Fe2+, but its stimulatory effect on peroxidase activity was also remarkable especially after 16 hours treatment. It seems that the metals induce triggering of reactive oxygen species (ROS) which at low Fe2+ concentration leads to induce glucoraphanin biosynthesis pathway. While at higher Fe2+ concentrations as well as treatment seedlings with Cu2+, ROS lead to induce antioxidant enzyme system.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Objective: In this study, our aim was to extract, and identify and quantify the chemical composition of essential oils of Semenovia suffruticosa grown in Kerman, Iran. Moreover, cytotoxic, antioxidant and antimicrobial activity of the essential oil and methanol extract of aerial parts of S. suffruticosa were reported.
Materials and Methods: GC and GC/MS analysis were used for identifying and quantifying the essential oil components. Antioxidant and antibacterial activity were tested by 2, 2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and agar disc diffusion methods, respectively and MTT assay was used to determine the anti-proliferative potential of the oil against breast (MCF-7), colon (HT-29), neuroblastoma (SH-SY5Y), embryonal carcinoma (NCCIT) cancer cell relative to human umbilical vein endothelial cell (HUVEC) as a normal cell. Apoptosis induction was monitored by flow cytometry using PE annexin V apoptosis detection kit and cell cycle arrest was by with propidium iodide.
Results: Z-β-ocimene (25.1%), linalool (17.8%) and β-bisabolol (13.3%) were recognized as major components of the essential oil. Our study demonstrated apoptosis-inducing potential of essential oil on normal and cancer cells. However, methanol extract exerted cytotoxicity against a number of cancer cells and arrested cancer cells in G2/M phase; nevertheless, it did not exert strong cytotoxicity against normal cells. Furthermore, DPPH and disc diffusion results showed that while essential oil has considerable antiradical activity, methanol extract did not exert promising antioxidant and antimicrobial activity.
Conclusion: Methanol extract of S. suffruticosa shows tumor-cell-specific cytotoxic properties and the essential oil demonstrated a strong antioxidant activity.- انتشار مقاله: 29-03-1397
