- چکیده انگلیسی: Objective(s): Chitosan, a biodegradable and cationic polysaccharide with increasing applications in biomedicine, possesses many advantages including mucoadhesivity, biocompatibility, and low-immunogenicity. The aim of this study, was investigating the influence of pH, ratio of azelaic acid/chitosan and molecular weight of chitosan on loading efficiency of azelaic acid in chitosan particles.
Materials and Methods: A model was generated using artificial neural networks (ANNs) to study interactions between the inputs and their effects on loading of azelaic acid.
Results: From the details of the model, pH showed a reverse effect on the loading efficiency. Also, a certain ratio of drug/chitosan (~ 0.7) provided minimum loading efficiency, while molecular weight of chitosan showed no important effect on loading efficiency.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Noble metal nanoparticles have a great potential for biological study, especially the use of gold nanoparticles is popular. In this work gold nanoparticles (GNPs), silver nanoparticles (SNPs) and gold-silver hybrid nanoparticles (HNPs) synthesized and used as a carrier for electrochemical investigation of redox protein. Optical characterization of these nanoparticles was performed by UV-Vis spectroscopy. The optical absorption spectra of HNPs solution shows only one plasmon absorption, it is concluded that mixing of gold and silver leads to a homogeneous formation of alloy nanoparticles. LCR meter study shows the HNPs is best conductance in compare of GNPs and SNPs. Therefore, the electron transfer of the homogenous glucose oxidase (GOx), horse radish peroxides (HRP) and hemoglobin (Hb) was investigates by electrochemical method in presence of HNPs. They demonstrated quasi-reversible cyclic voltammograms with a formal potential of -479, -178 and,168 mV in 50 mM phosphate buffer solution at pH 7.4 respectively.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Graphene modified glassy carbon electrodes have been developed for the determination of calcium dobesilate in pharmaceutical formulations. The prepared graphene and CNTs were used as a conductive substrate for electrochemical study of calcium dobesilate. The direct electrochemistry of calcium dobesilate showed a reversible cyclic voltammogram with a formal potential of 133 mV (vs. Ag/AgCl) for graphene modified electrodes in 0.1 M phosphate buffer. The linear concentration range of the sensor is 30-120 ng/mL for graphene modified electrode, respectively. The lifetime of biosensor is more than 2 weeks. The proposed modified electrode provides a new promising and alternative way to detect calcium dobesilate

- چکیده انگلیسی: Direct electron transferring of glucose oxidase was investigated on reduced graphene and graphene oxide templates. The direct electrochemistry glucose oxidase on graphene showed a cyclic voltammograms corresponding to the FAD/FADH2 redox couple with an anodic, cathodic and formal potential of -430, -460 and -445 mV, respectively in 0.1 M phosphate buffer solution and air saturated condition for similarity of in vivo usage. The cyclic voltammograms of glucose oxidase on graphene is reversible. Also, the voltammograms results show, the current intensity of glucose oxidase on graphene is high, due to fast electron transferring. Moreover, the linear rang concentration of glucose on graphene are 0.4–9 µM. These studies make useful insight into the enzyme immobilization on nanoparticles for biosensors and bio-fuel cell preparation.

- چکیده انگلیسی: This study investigated different methods of controlling the fat, oil and grease (FOG) in sewer systems. A comprehensive control program was developed for the city of Mashhad (Iran) to maintain its sewer system and prevent blockages. The control program consisted of three parts: 1) fat, oil and grease source control, 2) sewer system modification, and 3) preventive maintenance. This program included guidelines for food service establishments, which are the major sources of (FOG). Food service establishments must implement better management practices to reduce (FOG) from entering the facility drain and install grease removal devices. As a part of preventive cleaning, the performance of several surfactants was evaluated as a cleaning agent. A 50:50 mixture (10 v. % in water) of two industrial surfactants, one containing monoethyl amine and sulfonated lauryl alcohol and one containing nonylphenol ethoxylate and potassium hydroxide, had the best performance and removed 80 % of the fat. Response Surface Methodology was used to determine the optimum conditions for the surfactant. The optimum conditions were a contact time of 36 h, shaking rate of 30 rpm and surfactant concentration of 12.5%. The second part of the program consisted of removing dead zones and increasing wastewater velocity in the sewer lines to enhance the hydraulic condition of the sewer system and decrease fat deposition. Finally, a detailed and well-defined control program could solve FOG problems in sewer systems.
