- چکیده انگلیسی: In this research, some of the inorganic complexes of uranyl with N- donor ligands
were synthesized. Complexes were characteriezed by FT-IR and UV spectra, ¹HNMR,
¹³CNMR and some physical properties. The uranyl unit (UO2) is composed of a center of
uranium atom with the charge (+6) and two oxygen atom by forming two U=O double bonds.
The structure is linear (O=U=O, 180) and usually stable. So other ligands often coordinate to
the U atom in the plane perpendicularly to the O=U=O axis. The antitumor activity of some of
ligand and their complexes against a panel of human tumor cell lines (HT29: Haman colon
adenocarcinoma cell line T47D: human breast adenocarcinoma cell line) were determined by
MTT(3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5-diphenyl-tetrazolium bromide) assay. These data
suggest that some of these compounds provide good models for the further design of potent

- چکیده انگلیسی: An important method in oil and gas exploration is vertical seismic profile (VSP) to estimate rock properties in drilling well. Quality factor is also the crucial point of seismic attenuate in VSP data. In the present study, this factor was used to evaluate the hydrocarbon potential of Kangan Formation in one of the Persian Gulf oil fields using VSP zero offset method. Quality factor was estimated using VSP spectral ratio method. Density and porosity logs are also used to determine lithology and reservoir fluid types. Analysing Vp/Vs ratio changes is a useful tool to detect hydrocarbon accumulation. These points marked by high amplitude energy in seismograms in correlation with petrophysical logs. According to Vp/Vs plots and geological logs of the field revealed that Vp/Vs ratio is increased at depths indicating hydrocarbon presence. Data are showing good correlation to petrophysical logs. Therefore, VSP method can be applied as a suitable alternative method to find hydrocarbon reserves in those boreholes without petrophysical logs.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Objective: The application of human cord blood (hCB) is limited to children by using relatively small volume of cord blood that does not contain enough hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). So, efforts for applying cord blood stem cells in transplantation have led to establishment of some approaches for ex vivo expansion of HSCs such as garcinol.
Materials and Methods: CD133+ HSCs were separated by a magnetic-activated cell sorting (MACS) system. Isolated cells were cultured with different doses of garcinol, SCF, TPO and FLT-3L. The optimal dose of garcinol for ex vivo expansion of HSCs was determined by direct counting. Flow cytometry was used to evaluate the expression of CD133 marker to check the ability of garcinol in maintenance of HSCs. Colony forming cell (CFC) assay was performed to evaluate clonogenic capability of treated cells. The level of expression of CXCR4 gene was evaluated by RT-PCR. Data were analyzed using Student’s t test.
Results: Our results showed that CD133+ HSCs in the presence of garcinol (5-10 µM) had high expansion activity and cell counting showed that the number of cells in treated group was higher than control group (1.9 –fold) and CFC assay showed that the number of colonies following treatment with garcinol had 1.3-fold increase. Treatment of HSCs with garcinol resulted in 9.6-fold increase in terms of CXCR4 expression in comparison to control group.
Conclusion: The present study showed that garcinol can improve ex vivo expansion of HSCs and enhance their potential for homing to bone marrow.- انتشار مقاله: 19-06-1395

- چکیده انگلیسی: Objective: Osteoporosis or silent disease is a major bone disorder in elderly women in current century. Estrogen has an important role in osteogenesis and prevention of bone fractures. Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is usually accompanied by such effects as breast and ovary cancers. Thus, there is an increasing demand for replacement with plant phytoestrogens. This study is focused on determining the effects of Foeniculum vulgare extract on proliferation and osteogenesis progress in human mesenchymal stem cells.
Material and Methods: Human mesenchymal stem cells were isolated and treated with different amount of plant extracts (0.5 to 100 µg/ml). Extract cytotoxicity was measured using MTT assay. The alkaline phosphatase enzyme activity was measured to evaluate the differentiation progress.
Results: Results of MTT assay and alkaline phosphatase activity showed that Foeniculum vulgare extract, at range of 5 to 50 µg/ml, may positively affect cell proliferation and mineralization. The most proliferation and enzyme activity were seen with dose of 5 µg/ml.
Conclusions: Foeniculum vulgare has been used in Iranian folk medicine for many years. Our in vitro study showed that Foeniculum vulgare extract has osteoprotective effects.- انتشار مقاله: 21-03-1391

- چکیده انگلیسی: GBM (Glioblastoma multiforme) is the most prevalent and lethal primary brain tumor. Gene therapy is one of the promising approaches and involves the delivery of genetic therapeutic molecules for specific antitumour response/activity. miRNAs can regulate the cell biology functions including replication, cell growth, and apoptosis by regulating gene expression. In this study, we found that down-regulation of miR-4731 expression occurred in GBM cells. We further determined that miR-4731 behaved as a tumor suppressor by inhibiting GBM cell proliferation. We further investigated the molecular mechanisms of miR-4731 and EGFR, ERK-1,2 and AKT-1,2 in GBM cell lines U87 and U251. The in vitro ectopic expression of miR-4731 affected cell proliferation, migration, and invasion of U87 and U251 cells. Luciferase reporter assays validated that miR-4731 targeted the 3′-untranslated region (3′-UTR) of EGFR. In conclusions, we identified that miR-4731 plays a tumor suppressor role in GBM cell proliferation and migration by targeting EGFR expression, and miR-4731 may act as a novel biomarker for early diagnosis or therapeutic target of GBM.
