- چکیده انگلیسی: In this article, the catalytic activity of bis[2-(p-tolyliminomethyl)phenolato] copper(II) complex was studied, for the first time, in the oxidation of various primary and secondary alcohols to the corresponding aldehydes or ketones. The effect of different solvent was studied in the oxidation of benzyl alcohol and methanol was chosen as the reaction medium. Also the effect of different oxidants such as H2O2, urea-H2O2 (UHP), NaOCl, tert- BuOOH (TBHP) and NaIO4 was studied in the oxidation of benzyl alcohol and H2O2 was selected as oxygen donor. In this catalytic system, oxidation of benzyl alcohol required 4 mol% of catalyst for completion and with increasing the reaction temperature to 60 °C, the highest oxidation yield was observed. Results showed that this homogeneous catalyst, exhibited good catalytic activity in the selective oxidation of various alcohols with hydrogen peroxide and gave the corresponding aldehyde without further oxidation to carboxylic acids in good to excellent yields (56-95%).

- چکیده انگلیسی: The current article seeks to investigate the behavior of masonry wall reinforced with timber lumbers and effect of timbers on increasing the shear strength and ductility of wall. To determine the mechanical properties of the timbers, two experiments according to ASTM D143 were performed. All of the mechanical properties required for timber simulation were determined via tensile and compressive tests, and using parametric equations. The behavior of the timbers under tensile force was brittle, and under pressure was semi-ductile. Hill yield criterion was utilized for timber behavior modelling. Predictably, the location of the plastic strain formation in the tensile and compressive specimen was consistent with the location of the fracture in the experimental specimens. In the next parts of the research, the obtained parameters were used to model the mechanical behavior of the timbers. Macro and meso approaches were used for the numerical modeling of the masonry wall. The Willam–Warnke yield criterion was used on the macro scale, and the cohesive-frictional interface constitutive model was utilized on the meso scale. Both numerical models were in good agreement with the laboratory results. However, due to the gap and sliding of the masonry wall in the numerical model, the Meso scale was used in the research. The masonry wall was retrofitted and strengthened by three different patterns of timber placement. An examination of the analysis results showed that by placing the timbers, the wall cracking pattern tends to change, and the ductility and shear capacity of the wall considerably enhances.

- چکیده انگلیسی: In this experimental work, PbS/ZnS/ZnO nanocomposite was synthesized via a simple co-precipitation method. The effect of Zn2+/Pb2+ mole ratio was investigated on the product size and morphology. The products were characterized via scanning electron microscopy to obtain product size and morphology. The optical properties of the nanocomposites were studied by ultra violet-visible spectroscopy. Photocatalytic activity of the product was examine by decomposition of acid black 1 as dye. To investigation of the effect of as synthesized nanocomposite on the water treatment, the influences of the nanocomposite to remove heavy ions was studied by atomic absorption spectroscopy. The results showed that the synthesized nanocomposite has well optical properties, photocatalytic and water treatment activities.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: It has been reported that vitamin D has broad anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects.
Objective: To evaluate the effects of vitamin D on the expression of IL-27 and IL-33 in a model of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE).
Methods: EAE was induced in C57BL/6 mice by immunization with myelin oligodendroglial glycoprotein mixed with complete Freund's adjuvant. The mice were administered with PBS or olive oil, intraperitoneally, in the control groups and vitamin D (200 ng every two days) in the treatment group, from day +3 to +30. At day 31, the mice were scarified and their spinal cords and brains were harvested. The expression of the IL-27 and IL-33 mRNA in the spinal cord was measured using real time-PCR.
Results: In PBS- or olive oil-treated EAE mice the expression of IL-27 P28 mRNA was significantly lower than that in the healthy control group (p<0.002). In both PBS- and olive o il-treated EAE groups, the expression of IL-27 EBI3 mRNA was also lower than that observed in the healthy group, but the differences were not significant. In vitamin D-treated EAE group, the expression of IL-27 P28 and IL-27 EBI3 were significantly higher compared with the olive oil-treated EAE groups (p<0.002 and p<0.04, respectively). The expression of IL-33 was significantly higher in PBS-or olive oil-treated EAE groups compared with healthy mice (p<0.05 and p<0.02, respectively). Vitamin D significantly decreased the expression of IL-33 compared with PBSor olive oil-treated EAE mice (p<0.04, p<0.02, respectively). The PBS- or oliv -treated e oil EAE mice showed the clinical symptoms of EAE at days 9 and 10, respectively. The vitamin D-treated EAE group exhibited the symptoms at day 12 post immunization. The maximum mean clinical score and mean pathological scores were also significantly lower in vitamin Dtreated EAE group, in comparison with PBS- or olive oil treated EAE mice (p<0.001).
Conclusion: Vitamin D may modulate the expression of IL-27 and IL-33 in the spinal cord of EAE mice and also ameliorate the clinical symptoms of the disease.- انتشار مقاله: 14-05-1395
