- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: Objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) is one of the best methods of evaluating the achievement of domains such as educational objectives and cognitive, emotional, and psycho-motor aspects of medical students. According to available evidences, no study has been conducted on the evaluating of OSCE in midwifery students. The main purpose of this study was the evaluation of knowledge and clinical practices of midwifery students in the courses of physiopathology, infectious, and internal diseases and surgery based on OSCE method, compared with traditional and with the final clinical traineeship score.
Methods: This study was performed on 39 midwifery students at the end of the third year of their education in Islamic Azad University of Karaj. The OSCE was performed in 10 different stations based on five practical purposes. A week later, traditional evaluation was performed using multiple choice questions and essays. Then final clinical examination was applied in next semester, when they passed their traineeship course. The scores in three evaluation methods were compared and correlation between the scores were reported.
Results: The mean (Standard deviation) score of OSCE, traditional, and clinical exams were 85.29 (8.90), 62.76 (10.80) and 81.50 (3.22) respectively. Based on the results of Pearson correlation test, there was no significant difference between the three evaluation methods mutually. There was a poor correlation between scores obtained from traditional and clinical (r=0.30, P Value=0.068), traditional and OSCE (r=0.19, P Value=0.123) and clinical and OSCE (r=0.06, P Value=0.728) evaluations. Mixed mode analysis showed a significant difference in the average scores when three evaluation methods of OSCE, traditional and clinical were compared (P<0.001, F (2, 83) =91.8).

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: E-learning is considered as one of the most important learning environments and the efforts and experiences of this type of learning have been studied and implemented in many countries. The purpose of this study is the application of path analysis model in explaining the factors affecting the quality and usefulness of e-learning through the student’s perspective. Methods: The research method is descriptive-correlation through using path analysis. The statistical population of the study consisted of 110 students of virtual courses of Payame Noor University (2018-2019); The questionnaire was provided to all of them through census and 70 students was answered and filled in the questionnaire. A researcher-made questionnaire was used to collect data and the reliability coefficient of the questionnaire was obtained through Cronbach’s alpha of 0.94 and validity was verified by 10 experts. Also, the validity was assessed through the internal consistency method which showed 0.87. Results: The findings of the path analysis indicated that the quality factor of the type of technology with a coefficient of influence of 0.59 had the most effect on the quality and usefulness of the education from the students perspective (P=0.001) and Content agent with an impact coefficient of 0.26 indirectly affected on the quality and usefulness of e-learning (P=0.021). Also learning methods with coefficient (0.51) directly affected on the quality and usefulness of e-learning (0.51=β). The teacher agent with coefficient0.27 has indirectly influenced on the quality and usefulness of e-learning. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, virtual education planners need to pay attention to the factors affecting the quality of courses.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Introduction: Technological progress and its impact on the social context are so vast that their healthcare field has been affected by these changes. So, research and development in the field of mobile technologies and techniques for data transfer and the adoption and implementation of health education in this way seems indispensable.Methods: This study was a randomized controlled trial. A total of 81 type II diabetes patients were randomly assigned into two groups: the experimental Group (n= 43) and control group (n= 38). Educational Short Message Service (SMS) was sent to the cellphones of the members of the experimental group. Data were collected through valid questionnaires (α= 0.75), the laboratory sheet reporting the patients’ KAP and HbA1C before and after the education via mobile phone and the demographic characteristic list. . Data gathering was run at the baseline of the study and after three months intervention and by SPSS17 and Lisrel software, using chi- square, Factor Analysis and ANCOVA, and the significance level of 0.05.Results: The results of this study showed that the experimental group compared with the control group improved significantly in knowledge (p≤ 0.001), practice (p≤ 0.001) and HbA1C (p≤ 0.001) Also, the fitness indicators exhibited a proper fit.Conclusion: The findings of this investigation showed that intervention using SMS via cellphone was effective in the management of type II diabetes mellitus (DM). Mobile health, with high potential in improving health, lifestyle, and perhaps more research in the field of e-Health applications could be taken into consideration as policymakers and health care providers to use electronic management in health system.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: The risk of developing tuberculosis is high among chronic hemodialysis patients. The tuberculin skin test (TST) has been in use for diagnosing latent TB, but few data are available on TST in hemodialysis patients.
Objective: This study was done to identify the TST reactivity and frequency of booster effect in serial TST among hemodialysis patients.
Methods: A total of 100 patients in three hemodialysis centers were prospectively tested. Patients with less than 10mm indurations were given addi-tional TST one and four weeks later to determine the frequency of booster effect.
Results: The cumulative prevalence of a positive TST was 7 % for the first test and 16 % for the third test. There was a weak, but significant correlation between TST positiv-ity, serum albumin level, urea reduction ratio and KT/V (p<0.05). There was no influ-ence of age, gender, hemodialysis duration and primary renal disease.
Conclusion: This study showed that the TST reactivity and booster effect among our hemodialysis pa-tients in Iran are lower than in other societies. Inadequate hemodialysis and poor nutri-tion may contribute to the lower tuberculin skin test reactivity in our hemodialysis pa-tients.- انتشار مقاله: 17-05-1395
