- چکیده انگلیسی: Statement of Problem: One of the complications in reconstruction of the primary teeth with stainless steel crowns (SSC) is microleakage at the crowns' margins. Luting cement that can seal the margins can reduce the microleakage.Purpose: This research was performed to compare the ability of four adhesive cements for reducing microleakage at the SSC margins.Methods and Material: In this experimental study, standard preparation was performed on 60 primary molar teeth for SSC restorations. After adjusting SSC, the samples were randomly divided into 5 groups, each containing 12 teeth. Then, the SSCs were cemented in each group with different cements. These groups contained Zincphosphate (Elite, ZP), Polycarboxylate (Durelon, PC), Glass ionomer (Ketac cem, GI), Resin-modified glass ionomer (Rely X luting 2,RMGI), and Resin-modified glass ionomer with bonding agent ((Single Bond,SB). After thermocycling and using dye penetration (methylen blue 1%), the samples were evaluated under a digital microscope. For comparison of the microleakages among the groups, t-test, ANOVA and LSD tests were used. Result: Microleakage in the adhesive cement groups (GIC, RMGIC, RMGIC+BA) was significantly lower than that in the non-adhesive (ZP, PC) groups ( p <0.05). Comparison of the cements revealed a statistically significant difference among all the groups ( p <0.001). RMGI+SB had the lowest microleakage followed by RMGI, GI, ZP. PC cement showed the greatest microleakage.Conclusion: Adhesive cements were more effective in reducing the microleakage in cementation of SSC than non-adhesive cements. The use of bonding agents with RMGI cement showed more acceptable results in comparison with RMGI cement.Key words: Marginal Adaptation, Dental, Primary teeth, Dental Cements

- چکیده انگلیسی: In this case report, dental status of a boy aged eight years, referred to the pediatric department of dental school of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences is presented and explained. His main chief complaint was reduced number of the teeth. During clinical evaluation, hypodontia, and in radiographic examination, congenital missing and rootlessness of many permanent teeth were evident. The patient did not have any evidence of systemic diseases, developmental anomalies and/or syndromic defects. Key words: Rootless teeth, Hypodontia, Syndromes

پروتئینKruppel-like factors (Klfs) که وابسته به خانواده پروتئینهای حاوی دامین zinc-finger میباشد، در تنظیم رشد سلولهای یوکاریوتیک و تفریق انواع متفاوتی از سلولهای پستانداران نقش دارد. با استفاده از تکنیک RT-PCR یک cDNA کد کننده بخش انتهایی N پروتئین مربوطه به طول 456 نوکلئوتید به کمک پرایمرهای دژنره از مخاط پوست ماهی کارپ معمولی (سیپرینوس کارپیو) افزوده گردید. از توالی این قطعه به عنوان جستجوگر جهت یافتن قطعات cDNA بزرگتر در زمان جستجوی دادههای Expressed Sequence Tag بانک بینالمللی ژن استفاده گردید. در نهایت اندازه قطعه افزوده شده به طول 1157 نوکلئوتید تعیین گردید که این قطعه پلیپیتیدی به طول 274 اسید آمینه را کد میکند. این پلیپیتید دارای وزن ملکولی 359/30 کیلو دالتون و نقطه ایزو الکتریک 88/4 میباشد. مقایسه توالی اسیدهای آمینه پروتئین Klf2b شناسایی شده از کارپ معمولی با توالیهای مشابه مربوط به Danio rerio، Tetraodon nigroviridis و Salmo salar به ترتیب 79، 54 و 53 درصد همولوژی را نشان میدهد. در حالی که شباهت این پروتئین با Klf مربوط به Xenopus laevis به میزان 50%، Gallus gallus 44% و Mus musculus 30% برآورد گردید.

Kruppel-like factors (Klfs) are a highly related zinc-finger family of transcription factors implicated in
the regulation of the eukaryotic cellular growth and differentiation of a diverse set of cells in mammal. Using
RT-PCR technique, a 456 bp cDNA fragment encoding N-terminus part of a Klf2b was isolated from the skin
mucosa of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) using two degenerative oligonucleotide primers. Use of this
fragment as a probe allowed the isolation of a larger cDNA clone through the searching of the GenBank
expressed sequence tag database. The size of the amplified product is 1157 bp, which encodes a polypeptide of 274 amino acid residues with a predicted molecular mass of 30.359 kDa and theoretical pI of 4.88. The deduced amino acid sequence exhibited 79, 54, and 53% identity to the homologous Klf2b identified from zebrafish Danio rerio, Spotted Green Pufferfish Tetraodon nigroviridis and Atlantic salmon Salmo salar, respectively. The common carp protein is 50% similar to Klf2 orthologues in African clawed frog Xenopus laevis, 44% in chicken Gallus gallus and is 30% similar to the mammalian Klf in house mouse Mus

- چکیده انگلیسی: In this study, five carp pituitary glands were collected and dispersed enzymatically and mechanically.
Then, the cells were cultivated as monolayer in MEM (minimum essential medium Eagle). The culture media
were collected after 72 h and frozen at -20°C. Carp ovarian follicles also were separated mechanically and
incubated in BSS (basic salt solution) Cortland medium in 24-well microplates for 48 h at 20°C. Then, they
were divided into two groups: control group which were incubated in BSS medium and experimental group
which subdivided into three subgroups according to treatment with different concentration of collected
pituitary secretion (50, 100 and 200 μl/ml). Follicles culture media were collected 24 h later and were
analyzed for 17-β-oestradiol (E2) and 17-α-hydroxy progesterone (P4) content by radioimmunoassay (RIA).
The results showed that adding low concentration (50 μl/ml) of collected pituitary secretion (CPS) increased
steroid hormones (E2 and P4) secretion of incubated ovarian follicles significantly (P<0.05) but the high
concentration of CPS (200 μl/ml) significantly decreased the secretion of E2 and P4 (P<0.05). Collected

- چکیده انگلیسی: To study viability and activity of isolated common carp, Cyprinus carpio, ovarian follicular cells (granulosa and theca cells), 17- α -Hydroxy progesterone (17 α -OHP) and 17 β -Estradiol (E2) levels were estimated in the culture media of cultivated carp ovarian follicular cells, using radioimmunoassay (RIA). Oocytes were isolated from the ovaries of female carp. Interstitial tissue was manually removed in order to obtain single oocytes surrounded only by the follicular envelope. Such a preparation was trypsinized at room temperature. Follicular cell suspension contained both cells and cell clumps. It was the mixture of theca (T) and granulosa (G) cells. The cells were grown as monolayer in 24-well microplates in M199 medium supplemented with FBS. Culture media were analyzed for estrogen and progesterone content by appropriate radioimmunoassay. Trypsinization of ovarian follicles resulted in the formation of the cell suspension which contained a mixture of G and T cells. The follicular cells attached to glass and grew well during culture period. E2 was the main steroid hormone secreted by cultivated cells. Estrogen secretion increased by 415.52 ± 25 pg/mL at the first 3 days up to 530.25 ± 55.8 pg/ml on day 5 and it didn't change significantly until the end of the experiment. 17 α -OHP secretion, however, gradually increased from 23.84 ± 8.2 pg/ml at the beginning of culture up to 35.76 ± 5.4 pg/ml at the end of cultivating. As the result of the present study the fish follicular cells grown in tissue culture were steroidogenically active cells as expressed by the secretion of E2 and P < sub>4 and The E2 was a dominant hormone secreted by isolated follicular cells, which it correlated closely with vitellogenes stage
