- چکیده انگلیسی: The use of quantitative structure–activity relationships, since its advent, has become
increasingly helpful in understanding many aspects of biochemical interactions in drug research.
This approach was utilized to explain the relationship of structure with biological activity of
antibacterial. For the development of new fungicides against, the quantitative structural–activity
relationship (QSAR) analyses for fungicidal activities of Pyrroledione Derivatives were carried
out using multiple linear regression (MLR) Quantitative structure–activity relationship (QSAR)
analysis was performed on a series of 3-Bromo-4-(1-H-3-Indolyl)-2, 5-Dihydro-1H-2, 5-
Pyrroledione Derivatives.QSAR investigations were based on Hansch's extra thermodynamic
multi-parameter approach. QSAR investigations reveal that steric and electrostatic interactions
are primarily responsible for enzyme–ligand interaction. These studies produced good predictive
models and give statistically significant correlations of selective COX-2 inhibitory with physical
property, connectivity and conformation of molecule. Also when available COX-1 inhibitory
data was analyzed with descriptors obtained from chem. Office 2007, partial charge descriptor,
van der Waal’s surface area and solvation energy gave statistically significant results. The results
obtained by combining these methodologies give insights into the key features for designing

- چکیده انگلیسی: Miliary mottling on chest radiography is seen in miliary tuberculosis, certain fungal infections, sarcoidosis, coal miner’s pneumoconiosis, silicosis, hemosiderosis, fibrosing alveolitis, acute extrinsic allergic alveolitis, pulmonary eosinophilic syndrome, pulmonary alveolar proteinosis, and rarely in hematogenous metastases from the primary cancers of the thyroid, kidney, trophoblasts, and some sarcomas. Although very infrequent, miliary mottling can be seen in primary lung cancers. Herein, we report the case of a 28-year-old female with chest X-ray showing miliary mottling. Thoracic computed tomography (CT) features were suggestive of tuberculoma with miliary tuberculosis. CT-guided fine needle aspiration cytology confirmed the diagnosis as lower-lobe, left lung non-small cell carcinoma (adenocarcinoma). It is rare for the non-small cell carcinoma of the lung to present as miliary mottling. The rarity of our case lies in the fact that a young, non-smoking female with miliary mottling was diagnosed with non-small cell carcinoma of the lung.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Objective(s): As a multifunctional molecule, NO has different effects on liver injury. The present work aimed to investigate the effects of Nos2 knockout (KO) on acute liver injury in aged mice treated with carbon tetrachloride (CCl4).
Materials and Methods: The acute liver injury model was produced by CCl4 at 10 ml/kg body weight in 24-month-old Nos2 KO mice and wild type (WT) mice groups. The histological changes, transaminase and glutathione (GSH) contents, and the expressions of liver function genes superoxide dismutase (SOD2) and butyrylcholinesterase (BCHE), as well as apoptosis- and inflammation-associated genes were detected at 0, 6, 16, 20, 28, and 48 hr, respectively.
Results: Compared with WT aged mice, there are more fat droplets in liver tissues of Nos2 KO aged mice, and the serum levels of ALT and AST were elevated in the KO group; in addition, there was a decrease in the expression of SOD2 and BCHE and GSH content at multiple time-points. Furthermore, the expression of apoptosis protein CASPASE-3 was elevated from 20 to 48 hr, the same as CASPASE-9 at 28 and 48 hr and pro-apoptotic protein BAX at 6 and 28 hr, while the expression of apoptosis inhibitory protein BCL2 declined at 6 and 28 hr; at the same time the mRNA expressions of genes related to inflammation were increased at different extents in liver extracts of Nos2 KO aged mice.
Conclusion: Nos2 KO exacerbated liver injury probably by elevated oxidative stress, apoptosis and inflammation response in CCl4-induced aged mice liver intoxication model.- انتشار مقاله: 23-01-1398

- چکیده انگلیسی: Subject analysis of the potential of spontaneous combustion in coal layers with analytical and numerical methods has been always considered as a difficult task because of the complexity of the coal behavior and the number of factors influencing it. Empirical methods, due to accounting for certain and specific factors, have not accuracy and efficiency for all positions. The Rock Engineering Systems (RES) approach as a systematic method for analyzing and classifying is proposed in engineering projects. The present study is concerned with employing the RES approach to categorize coal spontaneous combustion in coal regions. Using this approach, the interaction of parameters affecting each other in an equal scale on the coal spontaneous combustion was evaluated. The Intrinsic, geological and mining characteristics of coal seams were studied in order to identifying important parameters. Then, the main stages of implementation of the RES method i.e. interaction matrix formation, coding matrix and forming a list category were performed. Later, an index of Coal Spontaneous Combustion Potential (CSCPi) was determined to format the mathematical equation. Then, the obtained data related to the intrinsic, geological and mining, and special index were calculated for each layer in the case study (Pashkalat coal region, Iran). So, the study offers a perfect and comprehensive classification of the layers. Finally, by using the event of spontaneous combustion occurred in Pashkalat coal region, an initial validation for this systematic approach in the study area was conducted, which suggested relatively good concordance in Pashkalat coal region.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Plant mediated synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) is considered as a representative approach in material synthesis for environmental benignity. In this paper, we report an eco-friendly (green) protocol for the preparation of AgNPs using fruit extract of Michelia champaca L. The color change in experimental solution from light brown to dark brown indicates the resonance of AgNPs and further confirmed by characteristic Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) absorption peak at 410 nm using UV-Vis spectroscopy. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis confirms the presence of phytochemicals like phenols and flavonoids in the fruit extract which are responsible for reduction and stabilization of AgNPs. The biocapping molecules of nanoparticles were possibly stable and were negatively charged as revealed by zeta potential measurement. Further, the size and morphology of the nanoparticles were studied by using Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscope (HRTEM) analysis. The AgNPs were evaluated for antioxidant and antibacterial activities. The DPPH radical scavenging assay showed good antioxidant activity of AgNPs (EC50= 532.16 µg/mL) when compared to both fruit extract (EC50= 261.08 µg/mL) and standard ascorbic acid (AS) (EC50= 426.04µg/mL). The AgNPs exhibited potent antibacterial activities against both gram positive and gram negative bacteria. The Pseudomonas aeruginosa (19.00±0.73a mm) showed the highest zone of inhibition at 1000µg/ml concentration of AgNPs solution followed by Staphylococcus aureus (9.00±0.14a mm), Bacillus cereus (10.00±0.19a mm) and Escherichia coli (10.66±0.18a mm). Finally, it can be concluded that AgNPs from Michelia champaca fruit extract showed distinctive free radical scavenging and potent antibacterial activity.

- چکیده انگلیسی: 3-(2’-n-butylbenzofuran-3’-yl)-5-aryl-4, 5-dihydro-1H-pyrazoles (4a-4k) have been synthesized. The synthesized products have been assayed for their antimicrobial activity against Gram+ve, Gram-ve bacteria and fungi. All the synthesized products were assigned with IR, 1HNMR, Mass Spectra, TLC, and elemental analysis. Some of the products showed moderate activity, compare with known standard drugs.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Carcinoscorpius rotundicauda is one of the four extant species of horseshoe crab, occurring only in Asia: around India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Hong Kong. Virtually nothing is known about the physiology of this Asian species. In the present study, the respiratory physiology in terms of oxygen consumption rate of the trilobite larvae of C. rotundicauda was evaluated under laboratory conditions. The trilobite larvae were exposed to different levels of temperature (10, 20, 30 and 40 °C), salinity (10, 20, 30 and 40 ppt), pH (5, 6, 7, 8 and 9) and dark–light conditions for a period of 12 h. Effect of temperature on oxygen consumption in trilobite larvae was not so significant among all the temperatures tested. However, both 10 and 40 °C temperature showed comparatively high rate of oxygen consumption at the initial 4 h of experiment. More or less consistent oxygen consumption pattern observed at 20 and 30 °C temperature suggested 20–30 °C as the best temperature range for rearing trilobite larvae. Trilobite larvae revealed enormous tolerance to temperature and indicated that the temperature is not critical in terms of respiration. The trend in oxygen consumption was more or less uniform at all salinities tested indicating the insignificant influence of salinity on respiration. Though not significant, the oxygen consumption trend was more consistent at 20 ppt as compared to other salinities and thus could be considered as the most suitable salinity for rearing trilobite larvae. There was a positive relationship between oxygen consumption rate and the various seawater water pH tested with trilobite larvae. Maximum oxygen consumption was recorded between pH 7 and 9 at the initial hours of the experiment and the overall trend suggests that the larvae preferred slightly acidic conditions. Although the larvae showed higher oxygen consumption under light, in the overall analysis of the data the light–dark condition did not have a statistically significant influence. However, more consistent oxygen consumption pattern and swimming activity in the dark condition as compared to light condition during the 12 h of experiment revealed that the larvae have active nocturnal behaviour.

Background: Apart from reducing occupational exposure to cytotoxic hazards, the PhaSeal® closed-system transfer device (CSTD) can extend the beyond-use dates (BUDs) of unfinished vials of antineoplastic drugs for up to 168 hours (seven days). In this study, the total material cost incurred by its use in a Malaysian government-funded hospital was calculated. Methods: A list of vial stability following initial needle punctures of 29 commonly-used antineoplastic drugs was compiled. The amount of the materials used, including drugs, infusion bottles, the PhaSeal® CSTD and other consumables, was recorded on a daily basis for three months in 2015. The total cost was calculated based on the actual acquisition costs, and was compared with that of a hypothetical scenario, whereby conventional syringe-needle sets were used for the same amounts of preparations. Results: The use of the PhaSeal® CSTD incurred a cost of MYR 383,634.52 (USD 92,072.28) in three months, representing an average of MYR 170.5 (USD 40.92) per preparation or an estimated annual cost of MYR 1,534,538.08 (USD 368,289.14). Compared with conventional syringe-needle approach, it is estimated to lead to an additional spending of MYR 148,627.68 (USD 35,670.64) yearly. Conclusion: Although there was a reduction of drug wastage achieved by extending BUDs of unfinished vials using the PhaSeal® CSTD, cost saving was not observed, likely attributable to the wide use of lower-priced generic drugs in Malaysia. Future studies should further evaluate the possibility of cost saving, especially in health settings where branded and high-cost antineoplastic drugs are more commonly used.- انتشار مقاله: 03-07-1395
