- چکیده انگلیسی: The mathematical model of Area-Reduction empirical method is written through MATLAB software. Three periods of the hydrologic survey are required to run, calibrate and validatethe model. The Dez Dam, which is one of the most significant dams of the Middle East with three periods of hydrographic surveys in 1972, 2002 and 2011, has been chosen for the investigation. The annual average of the input sediment load to this reservoir was calculated by summation of the suspended load and bed load that were estimated through the sediment rating curve and experimental Karaushev curve, respectively. Upon running the model in order to predict the sediment distribution in 2002, the optimization was done by combining MATLAB and Genetic Algorithm models. The research was validated by comparing the results of the calibrated model in 2002 and 2011 with the measured data in the corresponding years. Additionally, Sediment distribution in the reservoir was predicted for 2032 and 2052 using the optimized model. Input data of the calibrated model can be changeable, so the calibrated method can be generalized for other reservoirs as well.

- چکیده انگلیسی: The water used in the production process of an agricultural or industrial product is
called "virtual water". In Iran with low average annual precipitation also lack of
available water resources, concept of the virtual water and its trade is used as a
strategy for optimal operation of water resources in many fields such as water
scarcity, drought and so on. This concept, also, could hold some interesting new
opportunities for the field of sustainable consumption. Recently, in Iran, net virtual
water import reached to (15-20)*109 m3 per year and is one out of the top ten virtual
importing countries. In this research, after virtual water applicable concepts
expressing, virtual water content in some of the agricultural products in the world
have been compared with products existence in Iran. Additionally, we selected
some strategic agricultural products, which export and import to the country, and
used an algorithm called "Genetic Algorithm", to optimize virtual water usage and
trade according to demands, agricultural situation, production cost and
environmental condition. Results showed which products how could help optimal

- چکیده انگلیسی: Autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) models are appropriate for the annual streamflows (annual peak and maximum and also mean discharges) of the Karkheh River at Jelogir Majin station of Karkheh river basin in Khuzestan province in western Iran, through the Box- Jenkins time series modelling approach. In this research among the suggested models interpreted from ACF and PACF, ARIMA(4,1,1) for all annual streamflows satisfied all tests and showed the best performance. The model forecasted streamflow for ten leading years showed the ability of the model to forecast statistical properties of the streamflow in short time in future. The SAS and SPSS softwares were used to implement of the models.
