- چکیده انگلیسی: Case Description- A 5-year old male German shepherd weighing 28 kg with the history of falling from the third floor 9 months previous was referred to the Small Animal Hospital. Clinical Findings- In clinical examination roughness and thickness of the skin of the palmar surface of both forelimbs were felt. The animal was using his palmar plane of both forelimbs to walk without any signs of pain during walking or weight-bearing. Diagnostic radiographs revealed old traumatic carpal luxation in both forelimbs. Treatment and Outcome- Bilateral pancarpal arthrodesis was performed on both right and left carpal joints in a staged surgery. Under general anesthesia, the carpal joint was reduced and fixation was done at 10 degree extension. A dynamic compressive plate dorsally attached from the distal end of radius to the carpal joint. Arthrodesis was carried out by cancellous bone auto-grafting. Palmar molded splint was applied to support the internal fixation for nine weeks. Survey radiographs during 12 months follow up revealed successful fusion of inflicted joints. Patient exhibited no clinical signs of pain and could normally bear weight on both forelimbs. Clinical Relevance- Plate applications on the dorsal aspect provide easier approach for panarthrodesis of the carpal joint and use of cancellous grafts and external support after surgery increase healing and stability.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Objective- To evaluate the effects of autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) on wound healing in dogs. Design- Experimental in-vivo study. Animals- 5 mix-breed male adult dogs. Procedures- Under general anesthesia, six 2 × 2-cm, full-thickness skin wounds were created on the back of dogs symmetrically. In each dog, three right side wounds were treated topically with 1.5 ml PRP jelly, whereas left side wounds received no treatment. For macroscopic evaluation, at days 0, 3, 5, 7, 10, 13, 17, 20, and 24, digital photographs were taken from wounds. At days 10, 17 and 24 after wounding, skin biopsies were taken from the center and corner of each wound for hydroxyprolin measurement and histopathologic evaluation respectively. Results- No statistically significant differences were found in percentage of wound contraction, epithelialization and healing between test and control group during study (P>0.05). There were no significant differences between median of hydroxyprolin levels, median of inflammatory cells infiltration, presence of dermal granulation tissue, fibroblast proliferation, arrangement of fibroblasts, collagen deposition and collagen bundle formation scores, in the specimens from left and right wounds (P>0.05). Conclusion and Clinical Relevance- Topical application of platelet-rich plasma can not accelerate repair of the small granulating wounds of dogs.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Case Description- A 3-month-old, female mixed breed dog was presented to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of Ferdowsi University with an obvious deformity in its right forelimb. Clinical Findings- - In clinical examination, there was a separation from elbow joint to the end of digits and a long skin cleft between these separated regions was seen. Radiographic examination revealed a wide space between the radius and the ulna with a separated carpal joint. The limb had five digits which three of them were at the ulnar side and the others were at radial side. The characteristic proximal and distal carpal bone rows and distal radioulnar joint were absent. Treatment and Outcome- According to the clinical and radiographic findings the ectrodactyly was diagnosed, but upon to the owner' disagreement, the amputation was not done. Clinical Relevance- Ectrodactyly is a rare anomaly which can usually be treated surgically. In extremely severe cases such as the case described, amputation of the affected limb should be done.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Objective- The aim of this study was to assess the clinical and ultrasonographic alterations in the superficial digital flexor tendon (SDFT) of horses with collagenase-induced tendinitis. Design- Experimental study. Animals- Five clinically normal adult horse. Procedures- Two thousand units of collagenase were injected in the center of the SDFT of forelimbs of each horse under ultrasound guidance. Clinical examinations were performed to evaluate heat, response to palpation, presence of swelling, and lameness grade. Ultrasound images of the SDFT were recorded prior to injury and at 1, 3, 5, 7, and 14 days after injection. Images were digitized, and percentage of lesion, the echogenicity score (ES), and the fiber alignment score of the fibers (FS) at the maximum injury zone (MIZ) were measured. The sum of the core lesion from 8–20 cm distal to the accessory carpal bone was also measured. Results- Collagenase resulted in anechoic core lesion involving 20%-35% of the tendon cross section at MIZ. There were not any significant difference in the size, ES, and FS between all the days except between the first day and the other days. There were no significant differences between observations made of each structure in the left and right forelimbs of the same horse. Conclusions and Clinical Relevance- Collagenase-induced injury is ultrasonographically similar to naturally occurring injury and causes the same tendinitis in both left and right forelimbs and also in different horses. Tendon lesions using collagenase injection represent an experimental model for tendon injury in research trials.

- چکیده انگلیسی: One of the most important effective elements in economic growth is the efficiency of manufacturing units. Therefore, measuring the efficiency of firms is necessary in order to increase efficiency in future planning courses. In the current research, using Stochastic Frontier Production Function, the efficiency of firms in Tehran Stock Exchange has been measured. In the above method, the efficient frontier is determined by using the Trans log production function, and the efficiency of each firm measured by the efficient frontier. The most important superiority of Stochastic Frontier Production Function is to specify the role of random and environmental elements (out of firm authorities) and inter-organizational elements (in-firm authorities) to assess the inefficiency of firms as compared to other methods. Thus, 105 firms were selected using maximum likelihood method in 2008-2017 to evaluate the research model. Results indicated that the minerals industry and cement industry with the averages of 53% and 90% had the least and most efficiency values, respectively. Separating the inefficiency values showed that the food industry and chemicals industry had the least and most inefficiency resulting from the firm authorities as 33.6% and 95.2%, respectively. According to research results, financial analysts and investors are recommended to rank the efficiency and assess the performance based on the firm authorities. Due to the importance of efficiency measurement in operational auditing, the auditors are recommended to use the current research model to assess the firm’s efficiency. Also, Organization of Industries and Mines is suggested to tackle the obstacles after identifying the elements out of firm authorities which affect the inefficiency in the firms.

- چکیده انگلیسی: This mini review article, intends to provide the essential information about microemulsion technique as a reliable approach toward the synthesis of zeolitic nano crystallites. The strategy discussed here provides a unique, effective, and potentially general methodology to the preparation of uniform and high purity nano crystallites of template-free zeolitic materials including LTA, faujasite type and other zeolitic-like materials (i.e. zeotype materials). Microemulsion is a reliable approach for controlled synthesis of uniform nano sized zeolitic particulates. On the other hand, the microwave assisted microemulsion technique has the advantages of short reaction time, producing smaller and more uniform particles with a narrower size distribution and high purity, in comparing to the conventional heating approaches.

- چکیده انگلیسی: LTA Zeolite nanoparticles was successfully synthesized from clear solution under controlled conditions using hydrothermal method using tetramethyl ammonium hydroxide as a structural directing agent. The as-synthesized LTA zeolite particles were characterized by powder X-ray Diffraction (XRD) analysis, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Fourier Transform InfraRed (FT-IR) spectroscopy, Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis and surface area measuring technique of Brunauer, Emmett and Teller (BET). XRD patterns and FT-IR spectra were ascertained the formation of pure crystalline phase of 4A (i.e. LTA) zeolite. SEM micrograph was shown particles size in the range of 60 -170 nm with uniform morphology. The Si /Al ratio of the as-synthesized zeolite nanoparticles was 1.66 with a BET surface area of 421 m2/g.

- چکیده انگلیسی: MFI-type zeolite membranes (ZSM-5) were prepared on α-alumina tubular supports and tested for separation of H2/CO mixtures. The effect of pressure and temperature on H2 and CO flows and selectivity was investigated. The best results in this work were obtained with a ZSM-5 membrane prepared over a porous α-alumina tube seeded with zeolite nanocrystals synthesized with microwave technique. In this case the H2 permeance was obtained 2.8 × 10-6 mol/ (m2.s.Pa) with a H2/CO ideal selectivity of 4.9 at 373 K. The permeation results of four gas (H2, CO, N2, CH4) on the synthesized membrane were also investigated.

- چکیده انگلیسی: MFI zeolite membranes were prepared on porous α-alumina substrates, using secondary growth of nano-seeded layers. The resulting membranes were characterized by means of Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), X-Ray Diffractometry (XRD), and pervaporation performance tests for separation of Benzene, Toluene and Xylene (BTX) mixture from contaminated water. The morphology, thickness, homogeneity, crystal preferential orientation and permeation properties of these membranes have been studied in relation to the seed layers. Successful separation of BTX mixture from water was performed by using the manufactured MFI zeolite membrane. The influence of temperature, feed concentration on the membrane separation efficiency systematically investigated. The total permeation fluxes were found to increase with increase in temperature and feed concentration. The separation factors increased with increasing feed concentration and decreased with increasing in temperature.

- چکیده انگلیسی: This study deals with the uptake of Cd2+ and Mn2+ ions from contaminated water using two Iranian natural clinoptilolite-rich tuffs from Meyaneh (Z-m), and Semnan (Z-s) regions , and a synthetic zeolite-P from Z-m sample (Z-P) under static (batch operation) and dynamic (column operation) conditions. To investigate the selectivity of the zeolites toward Cd2+ and Mn2+ cations, the ion exchange isotherms were constructed at 298K. According to the data obtained for both cations, the following general trend in distribution coefficient (Kd) and consequently in selectivity was achieved for the investigated exchangers: Z-P>>Z-m> Z-s.
