Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is a tumor consisting of squamous epithelial cells. This tumor is relatively uncommon in goats. In this report, we discuss clinical, gross and histopathological features of SCC in six goats. The goats were referred to the veterinary clinic with a progressive ulcerative and hemorrhagic mass located in the perineal area. The vital signs (temperature, pulse rate, respiration rate) were normal. Biopsy specimens were taken and histopathological examinations were done. The tumor cells were large and had an abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm, ovoid nuclei with a prominent nucleolus. Keratin tonofibers and keratin pearls were also seen. The mitotic figures were moderate. The mass was found to be a moderately differentiated SCC. Ulceration with infiltration of neutrophils was observed on the surface of the tumors. The SCC tumors are uncommon in goats and have multi-factorial etiology. Age, ultraviolet (UV) light exposure, lack of epidermis pigmentation, and viruses may be involved in the presence of SCC.

This paper aimed to evaluate Water Use Efficiency (WUE) indices for crops and horticulture productions. In doing so, after gathering data from 164 farmers, we investigated water withdrawal cost indices and monetary return per cubic meter of water through two econometric and managerial approaches . Besides, water shadow pricesand dry matters of per cub meter of water were calculated. The results revealed that the average monetary return per cubic metre of water is 3875.4 IRR (0.134 USD) and cost per cubic metre of well water equals 839.3 IRR (0.029 USD), four times more than the value of some current development projects of water resources. Finally, according to the findings, we suggested a corrected price trade term to adjust water monetary return indices.Control policies and government participation in funding of artificial recharge of undergorund aquifers projects were recommended as well.

Introduction: One of the major challenges in cancer treatment is the lack of specific and accurate treatment in
cancer. Data analysis can help to understand the underlying molecular mechanism that leads to better treatment.
Increasing availability and reliability of DNA microarray data leads to increase the use of these data in a variety of
cancers. This study aimed at applying and evaluating microarray data analyzing, identification of important pathways
and gene network for medulloblastoma patients to improve treatment approaches especially target therapy. Methods:
In the current study, Microarray gene expression data (GSE50161) were extracted from Geo datasets and then analyzed
by the affylmGUI package to predict and investigate upregulated and downregulated genes in medulloblastoma. Then,
the important pathways were determined by using software and gene enrichment analyses. Pathways visualization
and network analyses were performed by Cytoscape. Results: A total number of 249 differentially expressed genes
(DEGs) were identified in medulloblastoma compared to normal samples. Cell cycle, p53, and FoxO signaling pathways
were indicated in medulloblastoma, and CDK1, CCNB1, CDK2, and WEE1 were identified as some of the important
genes in the medulloblastoma. Conclusion: Identification of critical and specific pathway in any disease, in our case
medulloblastoma, can lead us to better clinical management and accurate treatment and target therapy.- انتشار مقاله: 17-05-1397
