- چکیده انگلیسی: From the perspective of environmental psychology, educational spaces are considered behavioral camps. Among the various components of this behavioral camp, classrooms can influence children's behavioral characteristics more than other spaces. Thus, from the classroom benches and how they are arranged in the space to the choice of classroom light and color, all have a special place in the interior architecture of learning environments (Kamelnia, 2010). Educational spaces are spaces that are used by students during the academic year for the teaching and learning process with the description of specific courses under the guidance and guidance of students with appropriate facilities and equipment and include theoretical, experimental and general classes. Theoretical class refers to a closed space used by a group of peers for the teaching and learning process through reading, writing and repetition under the guidance of a teacher with appropriate facilities and equipment. Experimental class refers to a closed space in which a group of students are guided by the teacher every year for the process of teaching and learning by doing practical work that is the basis of activities based on research and objective and experimental observation. General classroom refers to the educational space and package that the teaching and learning process does not require practical work and the curriculum is provided by the teacher to the students (Organization of the renovation, development and equipping of schools, 2013). Unfortunately, most of the educational spaces in the country's schools do not have the necessary compatibility with the psychological characteristics of children and adolescents, and in this regard, they can affect their social and behavioral performance, as well as their attitudes and perceptions towards education. The rules and standards for the design of educational spaces in all courses have been prepared by the Organization for Renovation, Development and Equipping of Schools and have been approved by the Vice President for Planning, and are currently the only reference available to architects and designers of educational spaces. (Tabaeian, 2011). If the school environment responds positively to the psychological and physical needs of students, users' focus on learning will increase and they will achieve the desired performance. Otherwise, improper design of the environment will cause dissatisfaction, fatigue and distraction of users. Unfortunately, many existing school buildings are not in good condition. This disadvantage includes old buildings with poor condition or new buildings that have not been built according to the correct principles of architecture (Tahertoloudel & Aminifar, 2016).
The purpose of this study was to determine the difference between the views of students in public and non-governmental secondary schools with educational environment standards in Karaj. The research method is applied to the purpose and the method of data collection is descriptive-surveying. The statistical population includes 23192 secondary school students in secondary school in Karaj, selected by Multistage cluster sampling from 4 educational districts and 384 students were selected. The research tool was a researcher-made checklist for evaluating educational space and a researcher-made questionnaire for educational space adjusted to the standards of the School Renovation Organization . The educational environment includes dimensions, layout, light, color, location and temperature. Content validity was used to assess the validity and Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used to determine the reliability of the questionnaire. The coefficient of reliability obtained for the survey scale is 0.910. According to the results of the checklist in the school environment, the standards for the desk and bench, classroom dimensions and the level of sound penetration into the classroom are not well considered. The color components of the desk and the bench are standard in all schools. Therefore, in these cases more attention has been paid to the required standards. The number of students in the class, the type of class arrangement, the coloring and the heating and cooling equipment are in most cases non-standard. The type of classroom, the number of class windows, the amount of natural light, the amount of light entering, the temperature, and the adjacent places are in most cases consistent with the standards of the teaching space. According to the students' opinions, the questionnaire of the type of table and bench survey and heating and cooling equipment is in most cases non-standard. The size of the classroom, the distance to the first row, the size of the classroom, the number of class windows and their dimensions, the amount of natural light, the amount of artificial light, and the amount of light entering are in most cases consistent with the standards of the teaching space. Therefore, in terms of the type of desks, benches, heating and cooling equipment, the non-standard and the number of windows in the classroom, the amount of natural light and the amount of light entering, are in accordance with the standards of the school renovation organization. In cases involving classroom temperature, window dimensions, adjacent locations, class layout and board type, students' opinions did not differ significantly from educational space standards, but with regard to number of students, board size, distance to first row, distance between rows, class coloring , Dimensions of the window, classroom temperature, and heating and cooling The students' views are independent of the educational space standards.According to the results it is better to pay more attention to the students' opinions in developing school education standards. This shows that less attention has been paid to the opinions of students in the development of standards. International standards in the field of educational space as one of the important sources for document preparation for the School Renovation Organization, a significant number of indicators do not correspond to the social, cultural, indigenous and climatic conditions of our country and this issue is reflected in students' opinions. Therefore, in preparing the standards of educational space by the Organization for Renovation, Development and Equipping of Schools, in addition to international standards, special attention should be paid to the culture of the country, religious issues, climatic conditions and students' opinions. New standards can be developed based on a holistic and realistic view that is more in line with the conditions and requirements of the country, which ultimately leads to the effectiveness of teachers and all education officials to improve the quality of education and improve the educational and behavioral performance of students.- انتشار مقاله: 11-08-1398

- چکیده:
- چکیده انگلیسی: This work analyzes the effects of Satureja khuzestanica essential oil (SKEO) on the thyroid and antioxidant system, assessed by measuring levels of tri-iodothyronine (T3), thyroxine (T4), thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), malondialdehyde (MDA), reduced glutathione (GSH), and glutathione peroxidase (GPx) activity. Forty adult male Sprague Dawley rats (225 ± 25 g) were divided into five equal groups: one control and four hyperthyroid groups that received placebo, 200 mg kg-1 body weight of vitamin (Vit.) E, 225 mg kg-1 body weight of SKEO, 200 and 225 mg kg-1 body weight of Vit. E and SKEO together, respectively. Hyperthyroidism was induced by administering of L-thyroxin in drinking water. After 30 days of L-thyroxin consumption, serum T3 and T4 levels, TSH, and oxidative stress indices were determined. Significant increase in serum T3, T4 and MDA concentrations with a simultaneous significant decrease in TSH, GSH level and GPx activity were observed in hyperthyroid group (p <0.05). In the treatment groups, SKEO and/or Vit. E can compensate serum MDA elevation and GPx activity reduction. Only, SKEO + Vit. E could compensate the decline of GSH levels in response to hyperthyroidism. Supplementation of SKEO, plus Vit. E as antioxidants is useful in attenuating lipid peroxidation and may potentially benefit hyperthyroid patients.

- چکیده:
- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: Endometriosis is a common gynecological disease in which oxidative stress is a potential factor. Caffeine and caffeic acid are present in various foods and beverages with anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-carcinogenic properties. In this study, we aimed to investigate the ameliorative effects of caffeine, caffeic acid, and caffeine+caffeic acid treatments on oxidative stress in ectopic endometrial cells taken from patients and eutopic ones from women without endometriosis. Methods: In this experimental study, eutopic and ectopic endometrial cells were obtained from biopsies of women free of disease (n=10) and patients with endometriosis (n=10) who referred to Shiraz reference hospitals (2017-2018). Both eutopic and ectopic endometrial cells were divided into four groups: Treated with caffeine, with caffeic acid, with caffeine+caffeic acid, and the control. Also, antioxidant enzyme activities and the levels of glutathione (GSH) and malondialdehyde (MDA) were determined in each group. The data were analyzed using independent sample t test and one-way ANOVA followed by Tukey post-hoc test. Results: Caffeic acid, but not caffeine treatment demonstrated a decrease in MDA level (P<0.001) as well as an increase in GSH level (P<0.001) and antioxidant enzyme activities in ectopic endometrial cells. Also, the treatment of the cells with caffeine+caffeic acid caused similar effects as those ectopic cells treated with caffeic acid. Conclusion: According to the findings of the present study, caffeic acid reduced oxidative stress which may alleviate the complications associated with endometriosis. However, more investigations are needed for evaluating the efficiency and safety of caffeic acid.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: Hyperthyroidism is associated with liver oxidative stress causing liver dysfunction in many hyperthyroid patients. The hepatoprotective effect of Satureja Khuzestanica Essential Oil (SKEO), as herbal origin antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent on the hyperthyroidism induced hepatotoxicity and oxidative stress is investigated. Methods: Adult male sprague dawley rats were divided into categories of; control (group C), hyperthyroid (group H), hyperthyroid with olive oil (group H+O), hyperthyroid with vitamin E (group H+E), hyperthyroid with SKEO (group H+S), combination of hyperthyroid with vitamin E and SKEO (group H+S+E). Hepatoprotective and antioxidant properties of SKEO with or without vitamin E in hyperthyroid rats were then investigated. Results: Serum Aspartate Transaminase (AST) and Alanine Transaminase (ALT) activities reduced significantly in H+O, H+E, H+S and H+S+E groups in comparison with hyperthyroid rats. Enzymes activities returned to normal in H+S+E group. Hepatic Malondialdehyde (MDA) was reduced in H+E, H+S and H+S+E groups in comparison with hyperthyroid rats. The most significant MDA reduction was in the H+S+E group. Glutathione Peroxidase (GPx) and Glutathione Reductase (GR) activities increased in H+E, H+S and H+S+E groups in comparison with group H. The largest increment in GPx and GR activities were in the H+S+E group. Glutathione level did not change in any group in comparison with the control group. Conclusion: Administration of SKEO has hepatoprotective effect in hyperthyroid rats and is more effective when used in combination with vitamin E.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: It has been proposed that oxidative stress may contribute to the development of testicular abnormalities in diabetes. Morus alba leaf extract (MAE) has hypoglycemic and antioxidant properties. We, therefore, explored the impact of the administration of MAE on steroidogenesis in diabetic rats. Methods: To address this hypothesis, we measured the serum level of glucose, insulin, and free testosterone (Ts) as well as oxidative stress parameters (including glutathione peroxidase, glutathione reductase, total antioxidant capacity, and malondialdehyde) in the testis of control, untreated and MAE-treated (1 g/day/kg) diabetic rats. In order to determine the likely mechanism of MAE action on Ts levels, we analyzed the quantitative mRNA expression level of the two key steroidogenic proteins, namely steroid acute regulatory protein (StAR) and P450 cholesterol side-chain cleavage enzyme (P450scc), by real-time PCR.Results: The MAE-treated diabetic rats had significantly decreased glucose levels and on the other hand increased insulin and free Ts levels than the untreated diabetic rats. In addition, the administration of MAE to the diabetic rats restored the oxidative stress parameters toward control. Induction of diabetes decreased testicular StAR mRNA expression by 66% and MAE treatment enhanced mRNA expression to the same level of the control group. However, the expression of P540scc was not significantly decreased in the diabetic group as compared to the control group. Conclusion: Our findings indicated that MAE significantly increased Ts production in the diabetic rats, probably through the induction of StAR mRNA expression levels. Administration of MAE to experimental models of diabetes can effectively attenuate oxidative stress-mediated testosterone depletion.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: Cyclosporine A (CsA) is a nephrotoxic immunosuppressive drug. Antioxidants might attenuate its toxicity. In the present study, the effects of vitamin E and quercetin on the morphology of kidney in CsA-treated rats were investigated. Methods: Six groups of rats were used in this gavage feeding study either for 4 or 8 weeks. Groups 1 and 2 received either olive oil or 25% ethanol in olive oil per day. Group 3 received CsA (25 mg/kg/day) in olive oil. All other groups received CsA plus the following: group 4, vitamin E (100 mg/kg/day) in olive oil; group 5, quercetin (15 mg/kg/day) in 25% ethanol in olive oil; and group 6, vitamin E plus quercetin. In the final day of the study, the animals were sacrificed and kidney sections were prepared for morphologic studies using light microscopy. Results: Acute morphologic alterations induced by CsA in the kidney tubules included isometric vacuolization, brush border loss, microcalcification, and presence of inclusion bodies. Smooth muscle degeneration and necrosis were developed in arterioles. Treatment with vitamin E plus quercetin prevented severe, moderate, and mild abnormalities of the tubules. However fibrosis was the only microscopic change of the interstitium that was not present in animals treated with vitamin E plus quercetin after both periods. Some mild morphological changes of the blood vessels such as arteriolar medial smooth muscle degeneration and necrosis, arteriolar myocyte dropout and arteriolar wall hyalinization caused by CsA disappeared with administration of vitamin E, quercetin or vitamin E plus quercetin in both periods. Conclusion: Co-administration of vitamin E plus quercetin with CsA in renal transplant patients may be beneficial in reducing the nephrotoxic effects of CsA.

Background: There are challenging reports in the public health sphere regarding associations between oral contraceptive (OC) use and cancer risk. Methods: To evaluate possible effects of OCs on cancer susceptibility, we quantified of global 5-methyl cytosine (5-mC) levels and assessed methylation patterns of CpG islands of two key tumor suppressor genes, APC1 and ESR1, in serum of users by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and methylation specific PCR methods, respectively. Results: Our results indicated that OCs significantly decrease the level of global DNA methylation in users relative to control non-users. However, our data revealed no significant differences between CpG island methylation patterns for ESR1 and APC1 in healthy control and OC-treated women. However, we did find a trend for hypermethylation of both tumor suppressor genes in OC users. Conclusion: Our data suggest that the level of 5-mC but not individual CpG island patterns is significantly influenced by OCs in our cross-section of adult users.- انتشار مقاله: 23-11-1395
