- چکیده انگلیسی: Case description- A two-month-old cockatiel (Nymphicus hollandicus) of unknown sex ،weighing 58 g was referred for history of ingestion of foreign body inaction.
Clinical findings- Of course, by examination and observation of chest, an object was seen and touched in the crop. Lateral and ventrodorsal radiographs showed a foreign body within the crop in a transverse position.
Treatment and outcome- Because the foreign body can cause obstruction we decide to remove it by minor surgery. The feathers at the incision site were plucked. The skin was prepared for aseptic operation. The crop was approached through a 1 cm skin incision in the left lateral cervical region to remove the foreign body and the end of silicon needle was pulled out slowly and the foreign body was removed carefully.
Clinical Relevance- Crop has a good blood supply and heals well, so, the surgical removal of the foreign body from crop can be used.- انتشار مقاله: 05-02-1397

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: Regulatory T cells (Tregs) have been involved in impaired immunity and may have a pivotal role in persistence of viral infections.
Objective: To develop a simple and reliable in-house three color flow cytometery of peripheral blood to understand the role of HCV infection in the increase of Tregs.
Methods: The level of naturally occurring CD4+CD25+FoxP3+ regulatory T cells (nTregs) in 20 chronically infected with hepatitis C virus (HCV) patients was compared to those of 15 healthy individuals by flowcytometry. In a different approach we performed permeabilization and intracellular staining before surface staining which allows the preservation of the surface molecules in the combined detection process and results in the normal frequency of nTregs in blood.
Results: Using the optimized method, it was shown that a significantly higher proportion of nTregs in the total CD4+ T cell population was seen in the peripheral blood of chronic HCV patients (0.83 ± 0.21%, p=0.05) as compared to controls (0.26 ± 0.1, p=0.05).
Conclusions: In accordance with other studies, we showed that HCV infection induces a dramatic increase in Tregs, which might contribute to the immune response failure during HCV infection.- انتشار مقاله: 16-05-1395

- چکیده انگلیسی: A mono- and a bi-functional dithiocarbamates as sodium salts were obtained by treating p-peridine or p-perazine in aceton-water mixture with CS2 in the presence of NaOH. These anionic water soluble compounds have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR and 1H NMR spectroscopic studies. Both compounds (p-peridine (I) and p-perazine-bis dithiocarbamate (II) sodium salts) were examined for inhibition of mushroom tyrosinase (MT) activity. The results showed that they inhibit MT competitively. KI values of two compounds at 27°C are 2 and 4 mM. Therefore, the compound (I) is more potent than (II). They chelate active site of tyrosinase via electrostatic interactions. These conclusions are proved by obtained thermodynamic parameters and fluorescence studies. Extrinsic fluorescence studies disprove any tertiary structure changes of MT. Major enthalpy changes in binding of compound (II) in comparison to (I) show that including two carbamate tails in such compounds disturb balancing of hydrophobic interactions with vicinity of active site of enzyme.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Two common methods to augment heat transfer are the application of nanofluids and porous inserts. In the present work, heat transfer inside a double tube heat exchanger filled with porous media is analyzed numerically using two phase mixture model for the nanofluid flow and the Darcy-Brinkman-Forchheimer model for the flow inside porous media. Basically, porous media improve heat transfer at the expense of increasing pressure drop. A new PN (Performance number) -defined as the ratio of heat transfer to pressure drop on the base state (without porous media and nanoparticles)- is introduced to better judge the first law’s performance of configurations. Results indicated that by keeping and increasing Reynolds number from 500 to 2000, an increase of 56.09% was observed in the performance number. Furthermore, maintaining Reynolds number at Re=500 and changing from 0.0001 to 0.1, results in an increase of 138%. For pressure drop, by keeping and increasing Reynolds number from 500 to 2000, it is 40 times. Furthermore, maintaining Reynolds number at Re=500 and changing from 0. 1 to 0.0001, the pressure drop is 250 times. Besides, adding 3% nano particles to the base fluid enhances the performance number by about 50% and increase pressure drop by about 20%.
