- چکیده انگلیسی: In the process of preparing a research document (i.e. technical report or research paper) researchers challenging with organizing the references and research sources at the beginning to end of publishing. In this case, reference manager softwares are utilized by many researchers to overcome difficulties and facilitate the reference organization. There are several free/commercial reference managers for storing, collecting, organizing and managing the citations, among them Zotero as open source software has been gained many interests between researchers due to its advantages and user friendly features. In this paper, in addition to introduce Zotero services, Zotero is discussed and compared with other popular reference managers (EndNote, Mendeley, Connotea) in terms of their features, abilities and tools.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Circular simple shear extrusion process was introduced as a new geometry for simple shear extrusion technique to fabricate ultrafine-grained materials. Similar to the simple shear extrusion method, this process is also based on direct extrusion, and the samples deform in a simple shear manner. In this investigation, the simulations were carried out using the commercial finite element code ABAQUS/Explicit and the process was performed experimentally on commercially pure aluminum (AA1050) samples. Besides, the optimized length of the deformation channel was measured, 26 mm using the commercial simulation package DEFORM 3D. The effects of back-pressure and processing routes on deformation behavior and hardness homogeneity were studied in the simulation and experiment. Uniaxial compression test, X-ray diffraction, and Vickers microhardness test were performed on the samples to determine the mechanical and microstructural properties. The experimental results were in good agreement with the ones obtained by simulation. It was found that in the practical approach with the absence of back-pressure, route D had the most homogeneous distribution of strain in the cross-section and throughout the length of the samples. The results of compression and microhardness tests showed that the mechanical properties of the samples were improved compared to the annealing state. Also, a significant reduction in crystallite size can be seen in the XRD results leading to an average crystallite size of 103 nm after 10 passes.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Introduction: Endovenous laser treatment (ELT) is a new treatment method for the reflux of the great saphenous vein. A successful ELT is dependent on the selection of optimum parameters required to achieve optimal vein damage while avoiding side effects including skin burns. The mathematical modeling of ELT can be used to understand the process of ELT. This study was conducted to examine the effect of laser pullback speed and the distance between the vein and skin on the performance of ELT.
Material and Methods: The finite element method was used to develop optical-thermal damage models and simulate the process of ELT process. Firstly, light distribution was modeled using the diffusion approximation of the transport theory. On the second step, temperature rise was determined by solving the bioheat equation. Considering the temperature field, the extension of laser-induced tissue damage was estimated using Arrhenius model.
Results: Regarding the results, pullback speed and the distance between the vein and the skin distance can affect the process of ELT. Moreover, the pullback speed of 1 mm/s, 2 mm/s, and 4mm/s were suitable for the treatment of varicose veins located in a depth of 15 mm, 10 mm, and 5 mm, respectively.
Conclusion: In the ELT method, the pullback speed should be determined considering the geometry of the varicose vein segments, especially the distance between the skin and vein.- انتشار مقاله: 01-08-1396

- چکیده انگلیسی: A series of Graphene Oxide/ Polyacrylamide (GO/PAM) super-elastic nanocomposites with different amounts of Graphene Oxide Nanosheets (GONSs) (0.5, 1, 1.5, and 2 wt. %) were synthesized using an in-situ polymerization in an aqueous medium in this paper. To this end, we proposed a method for obtaining super-elastic nanocomposites with a high dispersion of GONSs in the PAM chains as well as in a rapid synthesis. Fine adaptability, powerful inner interaction between embedded GONSs into the PAM chains, and remarkable enhancement of mechanical and thermal properties of synthesized GO/PAM super-elastic nanocomposites can be considered as the unique characteristics of this synthesis method in a short time. In this study, GONSs were prepared by a modified Hummer's procedure at ambient temperature. Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM), thermo-Gravimetric Analysis (TGA) and DifferentialThermal Analysis (DTA) were employed to characterize the internal network structure of GONSs, PAM, and GO/PAM nanocomposites. XRD investigation indicated the increase of the interlayer spacing of GONSs. The exfoliation and dispersion of GONSs in the PAM matrix were studied by XRD and FESEM. The formation of oxygen-including groups on the surface of GONSs and hydrogen linking between GONSs and PAM was confirmed by FT-IR spectra and DTA. Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) was used to evaluate the thickness of the synthesized GONSs that was measured to be about 6.85 nm. Ultraviolet-Visible (UV/vis) spectroscopy illustrated the high percent of oxidation with more oxygen-including groups on the GONSs basal surface. Raman spectroscopy was also utilized to determine the induced disorder degree in the synthesized graphene oxide and distinguish the number of its layers. Thermal properties curves of GO/PAM nanocomposites represented an improvement trend in degradation temperature and a remaining amount up to GO-loaded (1.5 wt. %). The addition of GONSs also showed the significant improvement of viscoelastic behavior in PAM chains. The highest storage modulus (G'; 6.42 MPa) and loss modulus (G"; 0.98 MPa) are related to GO/PAM nanocomposite with 1.5 wt. % GO-loading. Based on the empirical result, the GONSs could remarkably enhance the thermal conductivity of PAM which was measured to be about 0.49 W.m-1.K-1. Thermal conductivity of GO1.5/PAM nanocomposite was about 0.9 W.m-1.K-1 that showed 84 % increase compared to the PAM.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: ACEI (Angiotensin Converting Enzyme Inhibitors) inhibits tumor growth and development. Different mechanisms have been proposed for this matter, including the inhibition of enzymes that are involved in extracellular matrix degradation, matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) and etc. The present study was designed with the aim to investigate the effects of low dose ACEI on the Quality of Life (QoL) of non-hospitalized gastric cancer patients with cachexia.Materials and Methods: This study was a single-blinded randomized controlled clinical trial conducted in clinics affiliated with Shiraz University of Medical Sciences (SUMS). All participants were patients with gastric cancer in cancer cachexia step aged 40-80 years old who had referred to our clinics from October 2013 to April 2014. In the intervention group, patients were assigned to receive ACEI (Captopril) and the placebo group served as control and received placebo during the same time course. They were asked questions in order to fill out QLQ-C30 (Persian Version) questionnaire 3 times; baseline, 1 and 2 months after their first visit. Results: The mean age of patients was 60.55 ± 12.07 (range 31-80) years and the mean BMI of the patients was 17.21 ± 2.31. In the ACEI group, physical functioning and fatigue score changes were significant 1 and 2 months after treatment. The mean of fatigue score decreased significantly in the placebo group. Overall, global health status scores significantly increased in both groups, but other items of QoL did not change significantly. Conclusion: Overall, our results showed that Captopril does not have a significant positive effect on QoL of patients with cancer cachexia.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Objective: Breast cancer is the most common cancer and leading cause of mortality in women worldwide. Diagnosis of
axillary lymph node involvement, frequently by axillary ultrasonography (AUS), is an important step in patients with
primary breast cancer, while the gold standard pathological examination is only applicable during surgery. Thus,
we aimed to evaluate the predictive value of AUS in detection of lymph node involvement. Methods: A total of 56
patients with primary breast cancer, who were candidate of mastectomy were included in this study. A single radiologist
performed pre-operative axillary sonography for all the patients and reported the results in a checklist. The results
were then compared with intra-operative pathological results of lymph node dissection to evaluate the sensitivity,
specificity, positive and negative predictive values of AUS in detection of the disease. Result: The results showed that
pre-operative AUS had a sensitivity of 63.3%, specificity of 84.6%, positive predictive value of 82.6%, and negative
predictive value of 66.6%. Correlation between axillary lymph node characteristics revealed that the absence of fatty
hilum, cortical thickness, and loss of ovality of the lymph nodes were the most specific factors in detection of lymph
nodes’ involvement. Conclusion: AUS has a low sensitivity and cannot determine the presence of micro-metastases
and suspicious lymph nodes accurately in early stages of the disease, and it seems that defining new parameters may
help for increasing the sensitivity and specificity of the axillary lymph node sonography. Apparently, pathological

- چکیده انگلیسی: This work, the application of a surfactant-modified natural nano-clinoptilolite for the removal of several two valances heavy metal cations (i.e., Cu2+, Pb2+, Ni2+, Cd2+, Fe2+ and Zn2+) from aqueous media was discussed. Triton X-100 was used as modifier and to achieve maximum efficiency of adsorption; variables such as the concentration of surfactant, contact time, the working temperature and pH of sample solution were optimized. The results revealed that, the maximum adsorption was achieved at a solution with the pH of 6, containing 2 mL of triton X-100 and 2 g/L of clinoptilolite at 45 °C. The obtained selectivity series for the adsorption of cations were Pb2+>Cu2+>Cd2+>Ni2+ >Zn2+>Fe2+. The maximum adsorption capacity of the modified zeolite for Pb2+, Cu2+, Cd2+, Ni2+, Zn2+ and Fe2+ was 91.34, 85.71, 78.27, 76.18, 67.41 and 63.45 mg/g, respectively. The adsorption data were acceptably fitted to the both Freundlich and Langmuir isotherms.
