- چکیده انگلیسی: In this work, the template, monomer, and cross-linker with the ratio of 1:8:40 were used to synthesize Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (MIPs) for extraction of the bioactive chemical compounds from some traditional herbs as a sorbent material. Quercetin, Methacrylic Acid (MAA), Trimethylolpropanetrimethacrylate (TRIM) and Tetrahydrofuran (THF) were used as a template, functional monomer, cross-linker, and porogen, respectively. Polymer particles have been evaluated by Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Field Emission Scan Electron Microscopy (FESEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET). The produced nanoporous MIPs, with a good specific surface area 167.899 m2/g comparatively to Non-Imprinted Polymers (NIPs), exhibited a good affinity to quercetin with the binding capacity of 392.08 mg/g in acetonitrile-water (1:1v/v). The results showed that the MIPs can be used as a sorbent. Thus, direct extraction of certain pharmacophoric components from herbal plants is considerable by MIPs technology.

Background: Vitamin D deficiency is a worldwide issue and the effect of vitamin D supplementation alone as a possible option to prevent that is still under examination.Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of vitamin D supplementation on term and preterm neonates and mothers for 4 months.
Materials and Methods
In this clinical trial, 30 term neonates and 30 preterm neonates along with their mothers created a total of 120 participants who were referred to the maternity unit of Vali-e-Asr hospital in Birjand, Iran, in 2018. Neonates and mothers were supplemented with vitamin D supplementation of 400 IU/day and 50,000 IU/month of vitamin D drops and tablets, respectively. Serum vitamin D levels of mothers and infants were measured during delivery, birth and after 4 months using ELISA method. P Results: The level of vitamin D in term and preterm neonates was 24.53±10.93 and 41.30±12.87, 19.45±8.88 and 43.78±15.51 ng/ml at birth and at 4 months of age, respectively. There was a significant difference between the mean level of vitamin D at birth and 4 months later in both infants and mothers (P<0.001). There was also a significant positive correlation between vitamin D levels of mothers during labor and neonates at birth (P<0.001).
Conclusion
Although vitamin D deficiency was high, regular consumption of vitamin D supplements has a significant effect on vitamin D levels and could increase the level of vitamin D to the normal levels, particularly in neonates.- انتشار مقاله: 09-03-1398

Background: Head louse infestation is highly common in collective centers such as schools, garrisons and campuses. This study was done to determine the prevalence and risk factors associated with Pediculus humanus capitis in primary school girls in Qom Provincecentral Iran.
Materials and Methods: This descriptive –analytic study was conducted among 1,725 feminine primary students from 89 schools of Qom province, Central Iran were randomly selected during 2015 to 2017. Data collection was done using standard check list that was provided by the Iran Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and physical exams of the hairby visual scalp examination. Head examinations were performed by medical entomologist experts. Analysis of data was done using SPSS version 20.0 software.
Results: The prevalence rate of infestation was 13.28%. The rate of head lice infestation was 13.73% in the urban areas and 10.22% in the villages. According to the multivariable logistic regression analysis, a significant relationship was observed between Pediculus capitis and each of these factors: family size, water source, family income (per month for each family, in US dollars), father occupation, parental education, access to primary health care services, having previous history of Pediculus capitis infestation, number of comb uses per day (p<0.05).
Conclusion: The head lice infestation is a significant public health issue in primary school girls of Qom province. Risk factors associated with head louse among primary school girls were some demographic and socioeconomic factors. Improvement of these status and designing and implementing appropriate educational and preventive programs can be helpful for surveillance of infestation among primary school girls.- انتشار مقاله: 11-09-1396

Recognition of head lice prevalence and related risk factors contributing in spreading the disease is a step forward to the control of this important health problem. This survey was done to determine prevalence and risk factors associated with head louse (Pediculus Humanus Capitis) in Central Iran.
Materials and Methods
In this descriptive–analytic study, a total of 38,237 suspected cases of head lice infestation that were referred to public health centers in Qom province during 2016 were studied. Data collection was done using standard check list that was conducted and approved by the Health Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Iran and physical examination of the hairsby visual inspections of scalp and hair for the presence of adult lice, nymphs, and eggs (nits) in all of suspected cases. For data analysis, Chi-square and Multiple Logistic Regression Tests were utilized.
Results
A total of 11,223 (29.35%) out of 38,237 suspected cases of all ages were found to have pediculosis. According to the multivariable logistic regression analysis, a significant relationship was observed between Pediculus capitis infestation and each of these factors: educational grade, family size, family income, having previous history of P. capitis infestation, number of combing per day(P<0.05). Head lice infestation was detected in 33.45% (7,182/21,469) of females and 24.09% (4,041/16,768) of males.
Conclusion
High prevalence of P. capitis among people of all ages, especially in students who reside in Qom province was attributable to inadequate access to health educators, health facilities, inattention to personal health, and other related factors.- انتشار مقاله: 17-02-1396

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: Congenital heart disease is the most common type of maternal abnormality and is the leading cause of mortality in the first year of life. The aim of this study was to determine the epidemiological and related factors of congenital heart disease (CHD) in children referred to the pediatric heart clinic of Vali-e-Asr Hospital of Birjand, Iran.
Materials and Methods: In this descriptive-analytical cross-sectional study, the study population included 300 patients with congenital heart disease who referred to the Vali-e-Asr Hospital, Birjand, Iran. A checklist form was used to complete the information contained in the patient records and contact their parents. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS software version 16.0 at a significance level of p≤0.05.
Results: The mean age of children with CHD at the time of diagnosis was 1.25 ± 2.92 years. 156 (52%) were male. The most common type of CHD included ventricular septal defect (28.7%), patent ductus arteriosus (18.2%), and atrial septal defect (14.6%). Down syndrome (3.8%) was the most common anomaly. In 57% of cases, there was a familial relationship between parents. There was a significant statistical difference between drug use in pregnancy, maternal age, age of patients, mother's education level, place of residency, and familial relationship of parents and CHD in the children p≤0.05.
Conclusion: Based on the results, the most common type of CHD included ventricular septal defect, patent ductus arteriosus, and atrial septal defect, respectively. There was a relationship between baseline and clinical characteristics (maternal age, patient age, familial relationship, and drug use in pregnancy), and CHD in the children.- انتشار مقاله: 08-04-1398

- چکیده انگلیسی: Three-component coupling of 2-naphthol, aldehydes, and urea has been accomplished in the presence of FeCl3 under microwave irradiation and solvent-free conditions to afford the corresponding synthesis of 1-phenyl-1, 2-dihydro-3H-naphtho[1,2-e][1,3]oxazin-3-onederivatives in excellent yields. It is a promising catalyst for the microwave-assisted reaction providing high product yield in a short period.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: Quetiapine fumarate is a dibenzothiazepine derivative and it is classified as a second-generation antipsychotic drug that has been established as an effective therapy for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. These antipsychotics have a low incidence of extrapyramidal side effects and tardive dyskinesi as compared to older antipsychotics. The advantages of the therapeutic profile of quetiapine have led to increasing the use of the clinical practice encouraging the development of new pharmaceutical preparations. Objective: The goal of this work was to recognize the synthesis and analytical deference methods of quetiapine fumarate. Methods: Generally, A precise, specific, rapid and feasible reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatographic (RP-HPLC), UV spectrophotometric and reversed phase ultra-performance liquid chromatography (RP-UPLC) methods for the determination of an antipsychotic drug quetiapine fumarate in pharmaceuticals, spiked human urine and plasma sample have been developed and collected in this review. The methods also find applications in clinical, biological and pharmacokinetic studies of quetiapine fumarate.

- چکیده انگلیسی: The aim of this work was to develop and validate the assay test for Tetrabenazine in the pharmaceutical dosage forms by HPLC. The assay method by HPLC was found to be linear in the concentration range of 20 to 100 μg/mL. The mobile phase was composed of acetonitrile and buffer pH: 6.8 potassium dihydrogen phosphate (60:40 v/v) the flow rate of 1 mL/min using UV detection at 215 nm. The results of the analysis were validated by recovery studies. The percentage recovery method was found to be 99.33-100.87%. The LOD and LOQ were found to 0.04 μg/mL and 0.15 μg/mL. All the parameters of validation were in the acceptable range. This developed method was successfully applied to estimate the amount of Tetrabenazine in the tablets.

The geometry of the title compound was optimized by B3LYP/6-311++G** level of theory. The theoretical 1H and 13C NMR chemical shift values of the title compound are calculated and compared with the experimental results. The computed data are in good agreement with the experimental data. Frontier molecular orbitals (FMOs), molecular electrostatic potential (MEP), energy gap between HOMO and LUMO, electronic properties, thermodynamic parameters, natural charges distribution (NBO charges) and NBO analysis were investigated by theoretical calculations.

- چکیده انگلیسی: A green and highly efficient method has been developed for the synthesis of 2-amino-4H-chromene derivatives in the presence of FeTiO3 as magnetic catalyst via one-pot three-component condensation reaction of aromatic aldehydes, malononitrile and α- or β-naphthol without solvent under microwave irradiation. Mild reaction conditions, short reaction times, simple work-up, use of an economically convenient catalyst, and excellent product yields are the advantageous features of this method. The catalyst can be easily recovered by a simple magnetic separation and can be recycled six times with no significant loss of catalytic activity.
