- چکیده انگلیسی: Melanogenesis is a process of melanin synthesize, which is a primary response for the pigmentation of human skin. Tyrosinase is a key enzyme, which catalyzes a rate-limiting step of the melanin formation, natural products have shown potent inhibitors, but some of these possess toxicity. Numerous synthetic inhibitors have been developed in recent years may lead to the potent anti-tyrosinase agents. Therefore its inhibition may be an efficient way for the development of depigmenting agents. A novel series of 2-arylidine-1H-indene-1,3(2H)-dione analogs were designed, synthesized and screened for their in vitro tyrosinase inhibitory activity. 3d derivative bearing nitrothiophene revealed excellent anti-tyrosinase activity with an IC50 value of 3.55 μM comparable to kojic acid as a positive control. 3d as the most potent inhibitor and 3f as the least active derivative were subjected to in silico evaluations considering the 3D conformations, ΔGb of bindings and interactions within the active site of tyrosinase.

Background: Ankle fractures, especially those resulting from external rotation mechanisms are associated with injury to
the distal tibiofibular syndesmosis. Some authors have recommended performing CT scanning after open ankle surgery to evaluate the reduction of syndesmosis. In this current study, we aimed to investigate the sensitivity of plain radiography in diagnosing syndesmosis malreduction after open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) in patients with ankle fractures.
Methods:
Thirty patients with ankle fractures participated in this prospective study. ORIFs were performed with respect to all of the technical guidelines shown in orthopedic literature for exact syndesmosis reduction, such as fibular length and proper settings. In the operating room, plain radiography was performed in anteroposterior, mortise and lateral views to assess whether syndesmosis was malreduced. If malreduction was detected, the patient was revised. As the gold standard, patients underwent postoperative bilateral CT scanning to investigate the syndesmosis reduction which was then compared to the healthy side. Finally, the sensitivity of plain radiography in the diagnosis of syndesmosis malreduction was determined by comparing this method to CT scanning.
Results:
In both of the methods we did not find any patient with syndesmosis malreduction. Hence, the sensitivity of plain radiography was determined 100%.
Conclusion:
Based on our findings, there is no need to perform CT scanning to evaluate syndesmosis reduction after ankle ORIF in patients with ankle fractures. Plain radiography is sufficient and has satisfactory sensitivity in these patients.- انتشار مقاله: 25-04-1392

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: At present, there is no consensus on an appropriate treatment modality for intertrochanteric fractures in the elderly with background diseases. The aim of the present study was to compare treatment outcomes of intertrochanteric fractures reduced with dynamic hip screws (DHS) and bipolar hemiarthroplasty in elderly patients with background medical conditions.
Methods: In this randomized clinical trial, 60 patients with intertrochanteric fractures, who were 45-60 years old, were randomly divided into DHS and bipolar groups. After treatment, the two groups were compared in relation to complications and mortality rates, functional status using the Harris Hip Score (HHS), range of movement and severity of pain using the visual analogue score (VAS). Results: HHS (86±9 vs. 75±7.6), range of flexion (105±11 degrees vs. 90±17 degrees) and external rotation (35±7 degrees vs. 20±7 degrees) were significantly higher in the bipolar group compared to the DHS group (P<0.05). However, there were no significant differences in pain severity between the two groups.
Conclusion: Reduction of intertrochanteric fractures in elderly patients with background medical conditions is more effective and less problematic with the bipolar technique compared to DHS and is better tolerated by patients, because this technique is associated with improvements in functional status and hip joint movement range.- انتشار مقاله: 25-04-1392

- چکیده انگلیسی: The goal of this article is to proposing a conceptual model explaining the Information Systems Integration. In this paper, passing the concept of Intra-Organizational Information Systems Integration, we emphasis on the concept of Inter-Organizational Integration.The problem is what the Information Systems Integration is, and which problems the organizations face.The method using in this research is a four step method proposed according to the system thinking and related theories in this domain. Due to the fact that, emphasizing on the Inter-Organizational Information Systems, at the first step we draw an expanded conceptual model of the Organizational Informatics Doman between the two organizations. After that, this model expands within the network of organizations. This model has a lot of applications. For example, using this model, we can provide a list of the important and required managerial and technical issues for the successful implementation of integration projects, which these expensive projects and programs will fail without this notification. Moreover, aggregating cognitive propositions extracting from this model, we are able to achieve an initial theory regarding Information Systems Integration.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Hydroxyapatite (HA) nano-rods with uniform morphology and controllable size have been successfully synthesized in the presence of cationic and non-ionic surfactants by a hydrothermal method. (NH4) 2HPO4 and Ca(NO 3)2.4H2O were used as the phosphorus and calcium sources, respectively. The composition of synthesized powders was characterized using X-ray diffraction, and Fourier transform infrared spectrometer and morphology of the resulting powders were examined by scanning electron microscopy. Results revealed the as- prepared HA nano-rods have a typical diameter of about 60-80 nm and an average aspect ratio of about 10-12, which indicates that the mixture of cationic and non-ionic surfactants acts as a soft template to regulate the nucleation and crystal growth of HA. Also effect of hydrothermal temperature was studied on the system.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background and objective:Breast cancer is the most common malignancy among women. The Neoadjuvant chemotherapy is the treatment of choice for non-operable tumors. The Ki67 is a proliferation marker that can be used to predict the therapeutic response to chemotherapy and the patients' prognosis.
Methods: This retrospective study was carried out on 55 consecutive patients with breast cancer referred to a Training Tertiary Healthcare Center in Kerman, Iran since 2009 to 2014. After diagnostic approval, the tissue samples of patients were examined for estrogen and progesterone receptors, ki67 and HER2-neu markers by using immunohistochemical staining. Then the patients were treated with 6 cycles of Neoadjuvant chemotherapy regimens by Doxorubicin and Taxans or 4 chemotherapy cycles, containing Anthracycline and Cyclophosphamide and 4 cycles of Paclitaxel. After mastectomy, their samples were reexamined for ki67 again and classified into three groups (low: ki67<15%), medium (Ki67 = 16-30%) and high (Ki67> 30%).
Results: Before chemotherapy, 54.5% of the patients had high expression of Ki67. But after chemotherapy, 52.7 of the patients had complete therapeutic response showing that the Ki67 level was reduced significantly (P=0.003).
Conclusion: Before and after Neoadjuvant chemotherapy, Ki67 measurements may be used as a predictive marker of therapeutic response.- انتشار مقاله: 29-06-1395

- چکیده انگلیسی: The aim of this research was to produce a convenient additive for enhancing the properties, especially the fluid loss, of oil well cement slurries. In this regard, a variety of drilling/cementing chemical additives known as fluid loss controllers were prepared through derivatization and chemical modification of lignite. Lignite-based graft copolymers were synthesized using different groups of acrylic monomers via aqueous the free radical polymerization method. Then, it was allowed to react with sulfomethylating agents to enhance its water solubility. Subsequently, a comparative sulfomethylated lignite was prepared and employed as the backbone in the free radical polymerization. ATR-FTIR and elemental analyses were performed to demonstrate the structures of the fluid loss controller and incorporated elements. The performance of these additives in improving the properties of oil well cement slurries was investigated through analyzing the quality of fluid loss controller in saline saturated slurries. Under similar desired well conditions, i.e. a compressive strength of 800-1100 psi, a thickening time of 400 minutes, and a viscosity of 25 cP, a fluid loss below 130 ml API was obtained. The best standard performance was assigned to the cement slurry which employed sulfomethylated lignite graft copolymer.

- چکیده انگلیسی: In this work, Mordenite zeolite was successfully synthesized with Si/Al ratio of 18 in absence of organic template. The hydrothermal method was applied for synthesis under optimum conditions: 24 h synthesis time, 180°C temperature and 2 days aging time. The obtained zeolite was characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), Fourier Transforms infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The prepared sample had total (BET) surface area of 331.63 m2g-1, whereas total pore volume was 0.278 cm3g-1. The catalytic performance of this catalyst was investigated for meta-xylene isomerization reaction in a fixed bed reactor at the 10 bars Pressure, 380°C temperature and 3.35 h-1 Weight hourly space velocity (WHSV) of feed. The results compared with a commercial SAPO-11 catalyst (Si/Al = 20) and showed that the mordenite gave better Para/Ortho ratio (63%) and fewer amount of xylene loss (2.11%) compared to SAPO-11.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Platinum-based anticancer drugs are chemotherapeutic agents to treat cancer. Carboplatin (cis diammine cyclobutane dicarboxylate platinum (II)) is a second generation drug that has less toxic than cisplatin, allowing for high dosages. In the first stage, 1,3-Cyclobutane dicarboxylic acid, a key intermediate for the preparation of carboplatin, have been synthesized in good yields using different methodology to achieve high purity then carboplatin was synthesized from the reaction of the prepared ligand with cisplatin. Purity of prepared carboplatin was confirmed by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). Platinum(II) complex carboplatin,have been characterized with 1H and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance spectra and infrared spectroscopy.

- چکیده انگلیسی: The purpose of this research is to found the impact of built area and occupant number on winter gas consumption in the residential building sector of Iran, Shiraz.Sothe annually and monthly gas consumption data through 19 houses were analyzed to achieve the heating energy consumption and operation month.The average operation months of gas heating consumption were from first of November up to end of April and the average maximum monthly gas consumption of sample houses was in February. On the other hand, the case study houses have different built area from 80 t0 200 m2andoccupant number from 3 to 7 persons.It was concluded that the biggest and busiest houses did not consume the maximum annual gas consumption and so the smallest and low occupant ones about minimum consumption. Therefore, the samples heating consumption was not so related to the built area and occupant number. The occupant culture and behavior was more supposed to be related with energy consumption in residential sector of the city.
