- چکیده انگلیسی: The study was conducted to evaluate the effects of different dietary oil sources supplementation on laying hens’ performance and fatty acids profile of egg yolks. Seventy-two 23-week-old laying hens (Tetra-SL) divided into six experimental diets (four replicates and three birds per replication) in a completely randomized design for nine weeks. Experimental diets were included: 1) control (no oil), 2) 3.00% fish oil, 3) 3.00% olive oil, 4) 3.00% grape seed oil, 5) 3.00% canola oil, and 6) 3.00% soybean oil. The diets were similar in terms of energy and protein. Egg production, egg mass, egg weight, feed intake, feed conversion ratio and fatty acid composition of egg yolk were determined at the end of the trial. The results indicated that the performance parameters were not significantly different between treatments in the entire period (p > 0.05). However, fatty acids profiles of yolk were affected by experimental diets (p < 0.05). Fish oil significantly reduced omega-6 fatty acids and increased docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) in egg yolk. Also canola oil increased linolenic acid content in the egg yolk. In conclusion, fish oil increased omega-3 long-chain fatty acids and decreased omega-6 to omega-3 ratio in eggs which may have beneficial effects on human health.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Physical drug delivery through smart nanocarrier and external stimulus could lead to significant improvements of drug potency as well as noticeable decrease in unwanted side effects. Currently, many external energy sources such as light, magnetic fields, ultrasound, ..., are under investigation as external stimulus for physical drug delivery. The purpose of this paper is to review most recent developments of triggered release of drugs and biomolecules under external ultrasound exposure. A special attention has also been paid to the metal nanostructures for ultrasound mediated drug delivery and also, other nanostructures were also considered. We briefly introduced ultrasound regulation and safety consideration. Further it is concluded that the use of nanostructures for delivery of active biomolecules in combination with ultrasound as a stimulus to trigger drug release from the nanocarriers and increased drug penetration has gained much attention for effective drug delivery and overcoming difficulties of multi-drug resistance of cancer.

Background and objectives: Human adenoviruses cause a wide range of diseases, from self-limiting and mild infections to some life-threatening infections. Many studies have shown that components derived from medicinal plants have antiviral activity. Pistacia genus is rich in phenolic compounds and has antioxidant and antimicrobial effects. The aim of this study was to investigate antioxidant potential and antiviral effects of ethanol and crude extracts and different fractions of Pistacia atlantica Desf. leaves on adenovirus. Methods: Crude P. atlantica leaf extract was prepared by maceration with 80% ethanol. Hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate and n-butanol fractions were prepared using liquid-liquid extraction method. Toxicity on HEp-2 cells and anti-adenoviral activity of the extract/fractions were evaluated by MTT colorimetric methods. The concentration that caused 50% viral inhibition (IC50) and 50 % cytotoxicity concentration (CC50) were evaluated using regression analysis. Selectivity index (SI), as a marker of antiviral activity, was calculated. To determine antioxidant activity the 2, 2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assay was used. Results: Ethyl acetate fraction showed the highest antioxidant activity with IC50of 1.54±0.12 μg/mL in DPPH scavenging assay. Based on our results, IC50 of P. atlantica crude extract on adenovirus was 15.72 μg/mL, with SI of 8.09; n-butanol fraction showed the highest anti-adenoviral activity among the fractions with IC50of 16.38 µg/mL and SI of 26.5. Conclusion: The ethanol extract and n-butanol fraction of P. atlantica leaves showed inhibitory effects on adenovirus and could be a new promising anti-adenovirus agent.- انتشار مقاله: 03-09-1398

- چکیده انگلیسی: A solid phase extraction procedure for simultaneous separation and preconcentration of trace
amounts of Cu+2 ion from various real samples prior to its determination by flame atomic
absorption spectrometry has been developed. The proposed method is based on the utilization of
multiwalled carbon nanotube in combination with Cupferron ligand as a solid phase
extractant. The influences of the analytical parameters, including pH, amounts of ligand and
adsorbent, sample volume, volume and concentration of eluent, flow rates of solution and ,
interference effects from the foreign metal ions were investigated for the optimum recoveries of the
analyte ion. The optimum pH for the separation of Cu+2 ion on the new sorbent was 7.0. The
relative standard deviation (RSDs) and the recoveries of standard addition for this method were
lower than 5 % and 95-100 %, respectively. A sample volume of 200 mL resulted in a
preconcentration factor of 100. The proposed procedure was successfully applied to the
determination of copper in various real samples with satisfactory results.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Bagasse as a real biomass was converted to hydrogen rich gas via catalytic supercritical water gasification process. To find the effect of Cu on selectivity of products, Cu promoted Ni-γAl2O3 catalysts were prepared with 1 to 20wt% Ni and 0.5 to 10wt% Cu loadings via impregnation method. Catalysts were characterized by ICP, BET, XRD, H2 chemisorption and TEM technique as well CHNS analysis was carried out for elemental analysis of bagasse. The biomass supercritical water gasification process was performed in a batch micro-reactor at 400oC and 240 bars. The total gas yield increased with increasing in Ni and Cu loadings up to 15wt% Ni and 7.5 wt% Cu and became approximately constant. The catalytic process increased hydrogen yield to 9.5, CO yield to 2.2 and light hydrocarbons to 0.59 mmol/g bagasse. Total H2 selectivity (THS) ratio increased with increasing in Ni and Cu loading reached a maximum at 15%wt Ni and 7.5%wt Cu and then began to decrease.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Functionalization of carbon nanotube (CNT) was performed, during preparation of Fischer–Tropsch synthesis (FTS) via cobalt nanocatalysts, to modify the surface properties of CNT support. Common and functionalized CNT supported cobalt nanocatalysts were prepared using impregnation wetness method with cobalt loading of 15 wt.%. The catalysts were characterized by Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), temperature program reduction (TPR), H2 chemisorption, and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) technique. Most of the cobalt particles were homogeneously distributed inside the tubes and the rest on the outer surface of the functionalized CNT. Functionalization of CNT shifted the TPR reduction peaks to lower temperatures, improved the reduction degree, and increased the dispersion of cobalt particles and stability of catalysts. The proposed cobalt catalyst supported on functionalized CNT- (N-doped functionalized CNT) increased the FTS rate (g HC/gcat./hr), and CO conversion (%) from 0.1347, and 30 to 0.235, and 47 respectively, compared to that of the catalyst prepared by impregnation wetness method on common CNT. Catalysts supported on functionalized CNT also showed better stability.

- چکیده انگلیسی: This study describes the adsorption and photocatalytic removal of methylene blue (MB) from aqueous solution by surface-modified TiO2 nanoparticles under ultraviolet irradiation in a batch system. The 5-sulfosalicylic acid grafted TiO2 (5-SA-TiO2) as a photocatalyst was characterized by means of XRD, FTIR and SEM techniques. The surface of TiO2 nanoparticles was modified by 5-sulfosalicylic acid (5-SA) to increase performance by altering surface properties. Notably, in contrast with the adsorption process, the remarkable removal enhancement of MB dye was observed by photocatalytic degradation process from aqueous solution. The adsorption and photocatalytic degradation kinetics of MB using 5-SA-TiO2 nanoparticles have also been investigated. The results show that the photocatalytic degradation was good fit with the pseudo-first-order kinetic model (R2 > 0.99). The adsorption isotherm of MB onto modified TiO2 nanoparticles fitted into the Temkin equation. In addition, thermodynamic studies indicate the spontaneous behavior of adsorption and photocatalytic degradation processes.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: Chronic otitis media with effusion (CME) primarily affectschildren. Temporary auditory deprivation is a serious complication of thisdisease and can result in auditory processing disorder, as demonstrated in paststudies. The objective of the current study was to investigate the effects of CMEduration on binaural processing and amblyaudia.Methods: Ninety-four children were examined, including 48 children (29girls=60%) with different CME durations (from 3 months to more than 9months) and 46 children (34 girls=73%) with no history of CME or a durationof less than 3 months CME. Persian versions of the dichotic digits and dichoticrhyme tests were applied.Results: Significant differences between the groups (P<0.001) in dichoticdigits difference (DDD) and dichotic rhyme difference (DRD) in free recallconditions were identified. With longer durations of CME, the DDD and DRDaverage scores were increased in the CME positive group, and the probability ofamblyaudia was also enhanced.Conclusion: A history of CME and the long-term auditory deprivation resultingfrom it in early childhood can increase the risk of amblyaudia.
