- چکیده انگلیسی: A new unsymmetric thioether diamine N - ( 2 - ( 2 - aminophenylthio) ethyl) benzene - 1 , 2 - diamine was prepared through the nucleophilic substitution of cysteaminium chloride with 1 - chloro - 2 - nitrobenzene and then the nitro groups of prepared compuond converted to the amine by zinc powder and ammonium chloride. Then, unsymmetric Schiff bass ligand 2 - ((( 2 - (( 2 - (( 2 - (( 2 - hydroxybenzylidene) amino)phenyl) amino) ethyl) thio) phenyl )imino) methyl )phenol [H2L] was synthesized via [2 + 1] condensation of 2-hydroxybenzaldehyde with this unsymmetric thioether diamine and the corresponding Schiff base complexes of this ligand were prepared by adding metal salts of Zn(II), Cu(II), Ni(II) and Mn(II). - چکیده انگلیسی: The reactions of 1 - chloro - 2 - nitro benzene with 2 - Amino thio phenol yield the 2 - ( ( nitro phenyl ) thio ) aniline and then 2 , 2' - thio dianiline of this compound was prepared . Also the symmetrical potentially pentadentate N 2 O 2 S Schiff base ligand 2 , 2' - ( ( ( thio bis (1 , 2 - phenylene ) ) bis ( azanilidene ) ) bis ( methenilidene ) ) diphenol ( H 2 L ) obtain by added salicylaldehyde . These compound have been characterized by FT - IR , 1 H NMR and Mass Spectrometry . Bi - nuclear Zn ( II ) complex of this ligand was prepared and structurally characterized by X - ray crystallography . The coordination geometry around Zn ( II ) is intermediate between trigonal bipyramidal and square pyramidal , τ = 0.54.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: One of the major challenges in orthopedic surgery is the prevention of arthrofibrosis, which can be
successfully alleviated in its early stages. Many studies suggest the administration of methylene blue (MB) as an
accessible and effective agent for the prevention of post-operation adhesions. The purpose of this study was to evaluate
the efficacy of MB in the prevention of arthrofibrosis.
Methods: This study was conducted on 18 New Zealand white female mature rabbits. The anterior cruciate ligament
of the left stifle joint of each animal was cut during aseptic surgery. In the next step, the rabbits were divided into three
groups based on their treatments. The rabbits in the first, second, and third groups were subjected to the injection of
normal saline, 1% MB solution, and 2% MB solution into their synovial space, respectively. The postoperative stifle
range of motion was measured every week. After 4 weeks, the animals were euthanized and all joints were dissected
for histopathology.
Results: The histopathological evaluation of tissues indicated the presence of fibrotic connective tissue as a sign of
fibrosis in all groups. The fibrosis rate, inflammatory rate, tissue disarrangement, fibroblastic cellularity, and granulation
tissue formation were at their highest levels in the 1% MB group. The integrity of articular cartilage in the 2% MB group
was lower than the other groups. The level of bone degeneration was similar in both MB groups; however, it was more
than the control saline group. The range of motion was reduced during the first week, then increased in the second and
third weeks, and finally decreased in the fourth week.
Conclusion: The MB was not an effective method regarding the prevention or treatment of arthofibrosis and the
subsequent osteoarthritis. In contrast with previous studies, fibrosis was lower in the high dose MB group, compared
to the low dose MB group. The alterations in the range of motion were related to the reduced movement caused by the
pain and stiffness of the operated joints. The current study can be considered as the first report addressing the adverse

- چکیده انگلیسی: BACKGROUND AND AIM: Malocclusions are major traits whose prevalence should be noticed, by gender, among high school students to program oral health status in a society and clarify the needs and demands of this orthodontic field. METHODS: In a cross-sectional population-based study, using a stratified random cluster sampling design, a sample of 1338 students of Shiraz, aged 14-18 years from 15 high schools, located in four different regions of Shiraz was obtained and evaluated clinically for malocclusion traits. Using tongue blades, researchers studied the students under normal room illumination conditions. RESULTS: The overall prevalence of malocclusion was 23.70%. Angle’s classes I, II, and III malocclusion were observed in 12.78%, 9.94%, and 0.97% of the samples, respectively. There was no statistically significant difference in the overall prevalence of malocclusion between sexes. Other malocclusion traits evaluated were edge-to-edge occlusion (4.78%), crossbite (1.93%), and open bite (1.19%). CONCLUSION: The results of this study showed a high prevalence of malocclusion class I as well as an edge to edge malocclusion trait. Considering the findings, health care officials are expected to pay more attention to oral health fields.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Background: It is widely recognized that neuromuscular function is temperature sensitive. Changes in muscle temperature may affect muscle force development. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of temperature on wrist flexor muscles endurance.Methods: Fifteen healthy subjects (mean age 21.13 ±1.30 years) participated in the present study. The wrist flexor muscles endurance was measured before and after applying ice and hot packs over the forearm for 15 minutes. Paired t tests were used to compare differences between pre and post intervention endurance.Results: The results showed a significant increase in wrist flexor muscles endurance after heating. (P=0.04). We also found that, cooling the forearm muscles leaded to significant decrease of wrist flexor muscles endurance (P=0.01). Conclusion: These results suggest that hand function is temperature sensitive. Therefore, further studies are needed to evaluate the effects of cold on muscular function in people working in workplaces with extreme temperature.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Introduction: Operations cancellation at the last minute is one of the main reasons of inefficiency and waste of resources in Hospitals. This study aims to investigate the reasons and the frequency of operations cancellations in Khatam-al-Anbia Eye Hospital (Mashhad-Iran) in 2013.
Materials and Methods:In this descriptive and cross-sectional study, all canceled scheduled operations in 2013 in Khatam-al-Anbiya Eye Hospital were investigated and the data were recorded in a checklist. Study variables included: 1) the number of planned operations, 2) the number of canceled operations, 3) age, 4) gender and 5) the reason of operation cancellation. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and SPSS16.
Results: Of 16512 operations scheduled during 2013, 329 cases (1.99 percent) were canceled. The reason of cancellation was not mentioned in (28.6 percent) of cases. Other reasons of operations cancellation included, in the order of importance, high-risk underlying disease (22.5%), medical advice ignorance from the patient's behalf (10.6%), change in clinical status (7.9%), prolongation of previous operations (7%), patient’s dissatisfaction (5.8%), Patients' incomplete Nil Per Os (NPO) time (5.5%), inadequate equipment (4.6%), lack of lab tests and consultations (2.7%), diagnosis change (2.4%), surgeon's absence (1.8%), and incomplete admission documents (0.6%).
Conclusion: In a high percentage of canceled cases, the reasons of operation cancellations had not been mentioned in the patient’s file. A significant portion of theses cancellations can be attributed to the patients' incomplete cooperation. The purpose of this study was to investigate the controllable operating parameters influence, including pH, solid content, collector, co-collector, and depressant dose, and conditioning time, on apatite flotation kinetics. Four first order flotation kinetic models are tested on batch flotation time-recovery profiles. The results of batch flotation tests and the fitting of first-order kinetic models to assess the influence of operating parameters on the flotation kinetics indicated that model with fast and slow - floating components and classical model gave the best and the worst fit for experimental data, respectively. Also, rectangular distribution of floatabilities and gamma distribution of floatabilities fitted the experimental data well. In this study, the model with rectangular distribution of floatabilities associated with fractional factorial experimental design was employed to evaluate the effect of six main parameters on kinetic parameters (R_∞, K). The result indicated that linear effects of depressant dose, conditioning time, and the interaction effects of solid concentration and pH statistically were important on ultimate recovery but the significant parameters for flotation rate constant were linear effects of solids content, depressant dosage and the interaction effect between pH and conditioning time.
