- چکیده انگلیسی: Today, environmental crisis and loss of natural resources are the principle causes of the creation of environmental management systems. The optimal management of natural resources requires the assessment and classification of ecological and environmental potentials. Using this method, the abilities and restrictions of resources can be recognized, and their future trends can be predicted. Nebka landscape is the natural reaction of ecosystem against the stress of wind erosion and ecosystem tries to adjust wind stress by creating this landscape. Therefore, the development of Nebka is the best and most suitable method for quicksand stabilization in the study area, and the most adaptable type of Nebka species must be identified and selected for the development of the ecosystem. This important aim will not be achieved except through careful and scientific investigation of Nebka phenomenon. According to the present environmental conditions, a suitable method with high accuracy is required in order to evaluate and manage natural resources and environment for achieving sustainable development. The aim of this study was to select the best Nebka species for quicksand stabilization using their morphometric parameters analysis by multi attribute decision making (MADM) methods. The results of this study show that in three models, Haloxylon obtained the highest point. Therefore, it has the highest effect in stabilization of quicksand. For implementation of stabilization projects of mobile sands in the study area, development of Haloxylon Nebka systems have the highest importance and efficiency. The results of this study will be beneficial in systemic management of desert regions and stabilization projects of quicksand.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Objective(s): The present study aimed to investigate the antibacterial and anti-biofilm potential of the non-oxidized form of zinc nanoparticles (Zn NPs) prepared by a ‘green approach’ using the Lavandula vera extract with microwave irradiation.
Materials and Methods: After synthesis of Zn NPs, the microdilution and disk diffusion methods was applied for antimicrobial evaluation followed by anti-biofilm activity measurement using crystal violet colorimetric assay procedure.
Results: The obtained results demonstrated the production of spherical Zn NPs within the size range of 30-80 nanometers. The measured minimum inhibitory concentration of the Zn NPs and ZnSO4 against the biofilm-producing and clinically isolated pathogens of Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Proteus mirabilis was estimated to be more than 2560 µg/ml. In addition, a non-significant increase (P>0.05) was observed in the antibacterial activity against methicillin-resistant S. aureus after the addition of the Zn NPs (500 µg/disk) to the antibiotic discs containing tobramycin, erythromycin, tetracycline, azithromycin, and kanamycin compared to ZnSO4. On the other hand, the Zn NPs significantly decreased the biofilm formation of P. mirabilis compared to P. aeruginosa (P<0.05). Biofilm formation by S. aureus also reduced to 68.3±2.1% in the presence of the Zn NPs (640 µg/ml), which was considered significant compared to P. mirabilis and P. aeruginosa at the same concentration (P<0.05).
Conclusion: To sum up, the biofilm inhibitory activity of Zn NPs at higher concentrations than 160 µg/ml against S. aureus and P. mirabilis was more significant compared to the inhibitory effects of ZnSO4. - چکیده انگلیسی: Strong benefits of species diversity have been demonstrated in mixed cropping on rangelands. In order to determine the best composition of mixed cropping of alfalfa (Medicago sativa) with three cool season grass species (Agropyron elongatum, Agropyron desertorum and Festuca arundinacea), on yield and quality traits, an experiment was conducted during two years (2009 and 2010) in Bojnourd, Iran. The used experimental design was a split plot based on randomized complete block design with three replications. Main factor was different compositions of alfalfa and grasses and sub factor were two intercropping methods (Mixed intercropping and Row intercropping). Dry matter (DM) yield, Land Equivalent Ratio (LER) and quality traits including Crude Protein (CP), Water Soluble Carbohydrates (WSC), Dry Matter Digestibility (DMD) and Acid Detergent Fiber (ADF) were determined. Results showed that the effects of treatments were significant for all of traits. The highest DM yield was obtained in mixed intercropping ratio of alfalfa 25% +A.elongatum 75% (2317 kg.ha-1) that increased 23.3% compared with alfalfa monoculture treatment. The effects of cropping method were significant for all of traits. The highest CP was obtained by mixed intercropping of alfalfa 75% + Festuca 25% (14.51%). In conclusion, mixed intercropping of alfalfa and Festuca arundinacea produced moderate DM yield coupled with higher quality traits. Whereas, mixed intercropping of alfalfa and A. elongatum produced highest DM yield but lower forage quality.

- چکیده: یکی از مهمترین اهداف بسیاری ازبرنامههای تربیت معلم، کمک به معلمان برای ایجاد نگرش بازاندیشانه است. بدین علت است که تحقیقات و مطالعات بسیاری برای واکاوی تاثیر بازاندیشی بر موفقیت معلمان و همچنین برای ارائۀ روش ها و تکنیک هایی برای ارتقاء این مهارت انجام شده است. این تحقیق سعی دارد مدلی سه بعدی برای ارتقاء سطح بازاندیشی معلمان ارائه دهد که متشکل از سه عنصر مهم در زمینۀ تدریس است. این سه عامل در هم تنیده و تفکیک ناپذیر عبارتند از عوامل آموزشی، روانشناختی و اجتماعی-فرهنگی. عوامل مذکوردر نتیجۀ مصاحبۀ انجام شده با 21 متخصص، شامل 8 مدرس دوره های تربیت معلم و 13 معلم با تجربه، استخراج شده اند. این مدل سه بعدی بازاندیشی روی گروه 35 نفره ای از دانشجو-معلمان دانشگاه فرهنگیان آزموده شد. در این آزمایش، پس از تقسیم اتفاقی جامعۀ آماری به دو گروه آزمایشی و کنترل ، دورۀ آزمایش به طول چهار ترم آغاز گردید و در انتها گزارش های کلاسی، خود ارزیابی ها و بیانیه های معلمان در حین بازنگری و ارزیابی کلاس های خود به دو شکل کیفی و کمّی مورد تحلیل و بررسی قرار گرفت. نتایج این بررسی ها نشان می دهد که به کارگیری این مدل در دوره های تربیت معلم می تواند میزان توانایی معلمان برای بازنگری را بالا برده و به آنها نگرشی دهد که بتوانند برای مشکلات احتمالی خود در شروع کار خود به عنوان معلم راه حل بیابند. این مدل نه تنها برای دانشجو-معلمان سودمند است، بلکه میتواند به اساتید دورههای تربیت معلم در طراحی فعالیت و واحدکار در طول دوره و ارزیابی دانشجومعلمان در پایان دوره کمک کند
- چکیده انگلیسی: Teacher education programs, and more specifically practicum courses, play a vital role in pre-service teachers’ lives since these programs are opportunities for them to get perspective on the reality of their future career. With no doubt, the most important objective of any teacher education courses is to help teachers become reflective. That is why there have been numerous studies to investigate the effect of ref- lectivity on teachers’ success and to propose methods and technique to enhance this skill. This study pro- poses a three-dimensional reflectivity model considering three different aspects of a teaching context. These interwoven factors are pedagogical, psychological, and socio-cultural aspects. These aspects are extracted from a semi-structured interview with 21 experts. Testing this model on group of student- teachers and analyzing their teaching portfolios both qualitatively and quantitatively reveals that applying the model in designing the tasks and projects of teacher education programs can increase teachers’ reflec- tivity and give them insight into how to deal with any shortcomings in their future classes. This model can reshape the teacher education programs and provide the student-teachers with an opportunity to practice something more than pedagogical concerns in these courses.

- چکیده انگلیسی: The present paper provides a detailed description of target situation analysis of the ESP needs of border guarding police cadets. It was conducted as a part of a comprehensive ESP needs analysis research whose results have been used to develop an ESP curriculum for police cadets at Iran’s Amin Police University. The importance of English language in border guarding missions and lack of a proper ESP curriculum in the faculty were among the reasons of ESP curriculum development for police officers. The researchers utilized a qual/quan design (exploratory sequential - qualitative first). The study was conducted in 2018-2019. The participants were chosen from among 249 participants of current BA cadets, ESP teachers, and graduate frontline officers, managers, and commanders. The data were gathered utilizing semi-structured interviews and a researcher-made questionnaire. Through target situation analysis, the researchers determined the target needs in border guarding, the needs related to language skills in academic/target career, extra needs, the type of curriculum and materials they might need, the possible situations of applying English in the academic/target career, and specific border police content and subjects. The results are to be used in designing and developing an ESP curriculum, syllabus, and materials for police cadets who study ESP in the Faculty of Border Guarding at Amin Police University.

- چکیده انگلیسی: Ethics is a crucial issue in the different dimensions of human life; hence, there seems to be a dire need for research to be conducted on ethics in different domains including translation studies and interpreting. This qualitative-exploratory research aimed at investigating the attitudes and strategies of applying ethics in in- terpreting through employing a triangulation method. Twenty interpreters sat for an interview and a ques- tionnaire, and the contents of three video clips were analyzed to detect ethical codes through axial coding in Grounded theory. Twenty-four detected codes were divided into three groups of pre-task (in-built) attitude (six codes), while-task (delivery) strategy (15 codes), and post-task (three codes) of dynamism of ethics in interpreting, and then the percentage of the participants who had pointed out each of these codes was calcu- lated. Since 15 codes out of these 24 codes were allocated to while-task strategy and seven out of these strategies were pointed out as very important codes of ethics, it was concluded that ethics in the while-task process of interpreting plays a more significant role than in pre-task and post-task during a task of interpret- ing. Also, 12 effects of considering professional ethics in the quality of interpreting were extracted from participants' words. Alongside designing a course of study named ethics in interpreting and establishing an interpreting syndicate are the most important implications of this research.

- چکیده انگلیسی: The present research study aimed to explore covert processes of editing and revision which were involved in writing four different academic text genres (i.e. abstract, conclusion, data commentary, and cover letter) in English language. To this end, six EFL learners with Persian as their mother were recruited to participate in this study. All the participants attended an induction session and each individual participant was invited to attend four writing sessions (total of 26 sessions for all 6 participants). Think-aloud protocol was employed for participants to verbalize all their thought processes, including stray notions, false starts, and incomplete or fragmentary thoughts, while performing the composition tasks. All the writing sessions were video-recorded and the participants were asked to insert their texts in Microsoft Word, which was in fact linked to the keystroke logging program, that is, Inputlog. The composition tasks were then dropped into Inputlog software to trim (i.e. reconstruct text production). The collected data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis as an interpretation and analysis method based on a three-step procedure proposed by Strauss and Corbin in grounded theory (open coding, axial coding, and selective coding). The results offered four main processes of planning, formulating, evaluating, and reformulating. The reformulating process was further subdivided into editing and revision. To draw a more accurate comparison between the processes, the researchers needed to resort to a statistical apparatus and run the Test of Chi Square. The results of chi-square indicated that there were significant but weak differences between the processes of editing and revision among different text genres. The results of the study would contribute to an understanding of how writing, editing and revising processes could integrate the learners into the process of academic writing.

- چکیده انگلیسی: The present study was an attempt to find out whether there were any exclusive strategies regarding illustration in the rendition of children‟s illustrated books. Further, it investigated whether the existing intersemiotic models were sufficiently responsive to the demands of Iranian translators and children. Cases of the study included three children‟s illustrated story books for age groups B and C (Group B-children in the first grades of primary school/ Group C- children in the last grades of primary school) in two formats (the first one the original book, the second one the translated book). The utilized method for conducting this qualitative research was Grounded Theory. The research instruments were semi-structured interview and content analysis. The intersemiotic model of translation propounded by Aguiar and Quieroz and the hermeneutic approach of Steiner were chosen as the study framework. The interviewees were among stakeholders of children‟s literature; illustrators, translators and publishers. The findings revealed that there are no exclusive strategies as regards illustration. In addition, although the existing intersemiotic models are acceptable as foundational models, these models do not provide sufficient utility to decode every interfering factor in translation of children‟s illustrated books. Ultimately, the research resulted in a novel model for rendition of the children‟s illustrated books.
