- چکیده انگلیسی: There is considerable agreement among linguists that thematic analysis offers writers insights into manuscripts that may be rejected by international journals due to thematic organization problems. Whereas many comparative studies have provided valuable information about thematic progression (TP), the role of peripheral themes (PTs) has almost been neglected. Using the revised model of the TP proposed by McCabe (1999), this study incorporated a corpus of 32 experimental RAs, aiming to find out the possible similarities/differences in exploiting the PTs between the ELT RAs of local and international journals. Analysis revealed that different types of PTs were exploited in both samples, and their frequencies were fairly similar. These similarities were justified by the fact that the sample papers represented the shared genre. Results also suggested that PTs should not be considered as marginal themes, but as crucial ones that introduce, organize, and summarize topics.

Introduction: This study aimed to investigate the factors associated with FOBT screening for colorectal cancer based on the components of Health Belief Model and social support in Fasa City, Fars Province, Iran. Materials and Methods: This was a cross-sectional study carried out on 240 subjects in people of Fasa city who had 50 years old and above. The subjects in this study were assigned to two groups of 120 patients. The first group included people over 50 years, who referred to the diagnostic laboratories for doing FOBT, but the second group included people aged 50 years and above who did not refer to a laboratory for doing FOBT and were assessed by questionnaires at home. Data were collected through a questionnaire based on health belief model and perceived social support. Results: The referring group included 61.3 percent women and 38.7 percent men, with a mean age of 65.24 ± 8.01. The non-referring group included 59.7 percent women and 40.3 percent men, with a mean age of 64.21 ±7.53 (p=0.24). In the referring group, 64.2 percent had undergone FOBT in the past year, while in the non-referring group only 12.72percent had done so (p=0.001).The results showed that the referring group obtained higher scores on awareness about CRC and ways to prevent it, and on HBM Model constructs, and social support compared to the non-referring group (p<0.001). In addition, the referring group reported significantly lower Perceived Barriers compared to the non-referring group (p<0.001). Conclusion: The results showed significant differences between the two groups in terms of HBM components and perceived social support for doing FOBT. Therefore, theory-based educational interventions can be used to increase individuals’ Perceived Severity, Perceived Susceptibility, and Perceived Benefits and reduce their Perceived Barriers in order to empower and encourage people to perform FOBT.- انتشار مقاله: 28-01-1396

- چکیده انگلیسی: In the present investigation, a ZnO nanostructure was synthesized by means of precipitation and sonochemical methods. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern indicated that the wurtzite structure of ZnO had a hexagonal symmetry and there was no impurity. The average ZnO particles crystallite size was calculated at about 41 nm. The SEM and TEM images revealed nanostructure ZnO particles with a cauliflower-like and rod morphology with dimensions of 85, 79 and 117 nm. In order to investigate the increment of ZnO photoactivity under visible light, the CuO doped ZnO nanostructures were fabricated by a wet impregnation method using copper oxide as the copper source and ZnO as the precursor. The XRD analysis confirmed that the CuO phase was present in the as-prepared sample and the average size of nano crystalline decreased to about 36 nm. The DRS spectra indicated the extended absorption of CuO-ZnO to the visible range as a result of band gap reduction to 2.9 eV (in comparison of 3.2 eV in ZnO). In order to investigate the photocatalytic activity of the synthesized photocatalyst, the degradation of 4-Chlorophenol under visible light was performed. Sixteen experiments using full factorial were executed by adjusting four parameters (amount of catalyst, initial concentration of 4-Chlorophenol, pH, and time of irradiation). An empirical expression was proposed and successfully used to model the photocatalytic process with a high correlation, and an optimal experimental region was also obtained. According to the developed model for degradation and the subsequent ANOVA test using Design Expert software, the time of irradiation with a 46.57% effect played the most important role in the photocatalytic activity, while the influences of parameters on each other were negligible. Optimal experimental conditions for 4-Chlorophenol concentration (0.01 g/L) were found at an initial pH =8 and a catalyst loading of 0.07 g/L. The results indicated that CuO-ZnO can remove 95% of 4-chlorophenol from water under optimal conditions.
